KENNY CHESNEY SURPRISE SHOW AT THE KEY WEST THEATER

When Kenny Chesney walked onstage at the intimate Key West Theater in the historic town where Florida ends, it had been 29 months since the eight-time Entertainer of the Year played a show for No Shoes Nation. With two guitarists and a keyboard player, the quiet songwriter/superstar settled in a chair with an acoustic guitar and absorbed the power of the moment.

Though used to commanding stadium-sized crowds, when the 200 people in the storied theater chanted “We Do” in all the right places in the night’s second song, Chesney found another gear: the gear of euphoria. In a rare night of songs focused on his more introspective, unplugged side, the focus of his SiriusXM and Pandora Small Stage Series performance was his awareness-raising Songs for the Saints and newer material the world had not been able to experience live.

“So many of the songs that are close to my heart would get lost in a stadium,” Chesney explained earlier in the evening. “They’re songs from one heart to the world, and you need to really listen and take in the words, so they’re songs I don’t get to do very often... And tonight, in this place with so much history for so many writers, I’m going to go to those places.”

In warm voice, the man the Wall Street Journal deemed “The King of the Road” opened with faith in the wreckage “Song for the Saints.” Keeping his word, the first seven songs contained many Chesney rarities, several performed for the very first time. Beyond Songs for the Saints’ wistful “Pirate Song” and whimsical “We’re All Here,” he told the story of enlisting Ziggy Marley for “Love for Love City” and introduced “Better Boat” by explaining, “I’d never had a song about healing before.”

Not that the show was somber. Though seated throughout the 100-minute set, the man in the sea green No Shoes Reefs t-shirt laughed, joked with the crowd, told stories, promised songs you’d know from the stadiums – including a rousing spontaneous singalong “Get Along,” a grooving “When The Sun Goes Down,” a life-affirming “Save It For A Rainy Day” and a deeply impacting “Here and Now.”

Drawing on the richness of influences, he played Guy Clark’s stoic “Hemingway’s Whiskey,” the title track to his 2010 album, and the classic country waltz “Knowing You,” his current Top 10 single, introduced by saying, “These kinds of songs are the reason I moved to Nashville.” Though known for his high-energy stage shows – he is the only country artist on Billboard’s Top Touring Acts of the Last 25 Years for the last 15 years for a reason – the songwriting piece of Chesney’s soul is often missed.

Late in the set, after many singalongs, stories and songs, Chesney surveyed the room, weighed the moment and spoke of the power of places like this. Noting how these rooms shape dreams, forge friendships and provide the setting for so many of life’s sweetest memories, he offered the night’s emotional center: his deeply personal Life On A Rock crowning “When I See This Bar.”

“When we walked offstage at Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge in May of 2019, I couldn’t have imagined it would be three years between those times I listen to No Shoes Nation pregaming on a Saturday afternoon. Hearing their voices singing back to me tonight...it makes you realize how precious life, friends, music and these connections truly are,” shares Chesney. “I love that we played some songs I’m so proud of that I never get to sing; but what really struck me tonight was how these songs – even the ones people have never heard on the radio – hold people’s lives. To me, that’s what music is all about: finding those things about who we are, experiences that we all share no matter where you come from or who you are.”

“Kenny Chesney: Live from the Key West Theater” will be rebroadcast on SiriusXM’s No Shoes Radio via satellite (ch. 57) and the SXM App on Friday, October 8 at 9:00 pm ET, Saturday October 9 at 12:00 pm ET and 6:00 pm ET, and Sunday October 10 at 3:00 pm ET.

KENNY CHESNEY PROVES THAT BEYOND THE NOISE, IT REALLY IS A "BEAUTIFUL WORLD"

Few artists have the passionate engagement with fans that Kenny Chesney enjoys with his iconic No Shoes Nation. Summer after summer, stadium after stadium, they can be found in our nation’s NFL stadium parking lots making friends and having fun by day, then singing along to their singular soundtrack of coming of age by night. Beyond the sheer joy of the music and the high energy of Chesney’s two-and-a-half-hour stage shows, there’s a sense of how sweet life can be that permeates every moment.

And that’s something the songwriter/superstar from East Tennessee wants to make sure people remember as the news cycles rage on, the news piles up and 2022 is just up ahead. In that spirit, the man behind the No. 1 songs “American Kids,” “Get Along,” “Wild Child,” “Everything’s Gonna Be Alright” and “Here And Now” decided to drop a little surprise on for No Shoes Nation.

“There’s so much wonder out in the world, so many things that can take your breath away right in front of you,” says the man The Los Angeles Times calls ‘The People’s Superstar.’ “Like the faces of No Shoes Nation, I see every time I’m on that stage – or just traveling around – that happiness and passion? It inspires me.

“I was thinking about that feeling, thinking about how I could maybe capture it – and give it back to the people, and it hit me: show them some of the best days of my life out on the water. The beauty, the easy way the sun hangs in the sky and the water just goes on and on? It makes you happy just to see it. So from me to No Shoes Nation, until we’re together again, take this video and remember, it really is a beautiful world.”

With Here And Now Deluxe adding four songs that Chesney found and recorded during the early days of the shutdown, “Beautiful World” is a patchwork quilt of various memories from the last decade of the eight-time Entertainer of the Year’s time spent sailing around the globe. Longtime collaborator Shaun Silva and his team worked to create a sense of flying through the water in the video that epitomizes the freedom of sailing for so many.

“With ‘Knowing You’ starting to really make its mark,” Chesney offers, “this seems like the perfect counterpart. This is what that person who’s gone would be chasing or seeking: that feeling of moving through space and time, the salt air on your tongue and waves hitting your boat as you take your time getting nowhere fast.”

The video for “Beautiful World” is available everywhere now. Shot largely in the Caribbean, Gulf of Mexico and off the coasts, the quick cut collection brings together a travelogue of postcards – and a song that reminds us how beautiful every single day is, if we’ll just open our eyes and see it.

“It always amazes me, the things I see when I actually look. This world is a beautiful place, and I feel bad for all the people who won’t open up their eyes and take that in.”

#TOURINGNEWS - KENNY CHESNEY CHOOSES EMERGING FEMALE ARTIST CAROLINE JONES FOR SONGS FOR THE SAINTS TOUR

For Kenny Chesney, the Songs for the Saints 2019 Tour is about going to the people, leaning in and creating music in a more intimate realm than his massive 1.3 million fan, 19-stadium summer tours contain. With a focus on arenas half the size he normally plays, it offers the songwriter from East Tennessee the opportunity to introduce an emerging country artist who’s done it outside the lines to No Shoes Nation.

“I met Caroline at the ‘Trying To Reason’ Hurricane Relief Benefit that Jimmy Buffett did last year, and she struck me as being so pure in her approach to the business and so pure in her intention as a songwriter,” Chesney says of his tourmate. “I wanted to help someone willing to work outside the system, to give them the opportunity to be heard and seen. Caroline is so fresh, so filled with life and so consumed by her music, she seemed like the perfect person because of everything No Shoes Nation is about.”

Wall Street Journal took notice this summer, writing “following her own impulses, [Jones is] taking an unconventional route to the country-music” of her ability to connect. Both Billboard and Rolling Stone put the Florida-based singer/songwriter on their respective “15 Country Artists to Watch” and “10 New Country Artists You Need To Know” lists. Bare Feet, her latest album, debuted at No. 15 on the iTunes Chart without the major label press.

An accomplished and tenacious multi-instrumentalist who plays guitar and piano, Jones learned mandolin, banjo, harmonica and Dobro slide guitar by practicing and watching YouTube videos. Jones, who largely plays all the instruments on her projects, has a fresh take on modern country; working in collaboration with noted producer Ric Wake, who’s produced Mariah Carey, Celine Dion and Jennifer Lopez, Jones’ kind of country has already attracted notice from Zac Brown, who’s taken her on tour, and Buffett, who signed her to Mailboat Records.

“Kenny has shown genuine kindness and support to me and my vision for myself as an artist,” says Jones of her addition to the Songs for the Saints 2019 Tour.  “He is a songwriter, and a person of integrity and philanthropy, in addition to being one of the greatest live entertainers out there. I am really honored to be a part of his tour and be introduced to No Shoes Nation.”

“Our tours have always been about bringing different kinds of music to No Shoes Nation,” Chesney says. “We’ve taken Grace Potter out; Old Dominion who’s gone on to do great things; Drummie Zeb from the Wailers came out and played with us; Uncle Kracker for a couple summers. It’s about mixing things up, giving people all kinds of music. And this year with David Lee Murphy and Caroline Jones, we’ve got both ends of the spectrum, which I know No Shoes Nation is going to love.”

Tickets for the Songs for the Saints 2019 Tour go on-sale Dec. 7 at 10 a.m. local. Blue Chair Bay Rum returns as the presenting sponsor for Kenny Chesney’s tour.

DAVID LEE MURPHY AND KENNY CHESNEY WIN MUSICAL EVENT OF THE YEAR FOR "EVERYTHING'S GONNA BE ALRIGHT"

Murphy’s 1st Nom & Win; Chesney’s 3rd Musical Event Award

When Kenny Chesney decided to make what became No Zip Code with David Lee Murphy, he believed in the singularity of Murphy's voice as an artist and as a writer. When Murphy asked Chesney to sing on “Everything’s Gonna Be Alright,” a song about finding grace in the eye of the storm, he was honored to sing with his good friend.

“Sometimes you hear songs, and they just feel good,” says Chesney. “And occasionally one of the ones that feels so good says something that people are needing to hear. That’s how I felt about ‘Everything’s Gonna Be Alright’ the moment I heard it. Being able to be part of David Lee’s song was just awesome.”

And this morning – on “Good Morning America” – Murphy’s first No. 1 this decade was named the Country Music Association’s Musical Event of the Year. One of two pre-telecast awards, it started the CMA day off on a good note.

“David Lee is so singular, I’d hear his demos and think, ‘People need to hear this voice, and his perspective,’” Chesney says. “I couldn’t be happier to see him win his first CMA Award. We’ve sung this song all over America this year, and I’ve seen the way stadiums full of people respond. Every night when he’d walk out, they’d cheer – and when the chorus came along, it was something they wanted to sing with us.”

“The crowd sings along from the very first line with their hands in the air,” Murphy says. “What’s been heartwarming for me are the personal stories from people whose lives have been affected by this song. That’s what it’s all about.”

For Murphy, Musical Event of the Year was his first CMA nomination. It is now also his first CMA Award.

“My heartfelt thanks to everyone who made this possible,” Murphy responds, “especially my great friend Kenny Chesney. Love you, brother!”

KENNY CHESNEY - BEYOND THE STADIUMS

Announcing 21 Amphitheaters for the More Intimate Experience

Everyone knows: nobody does stadium shows like Kenny Chesney! With an armful of No. 1s, a high-energy band and the energy to throw his songs to the seats at the top of the other end zone, The Wall Street Journal crowned him “The King of the Road.” But for the songwriter/superstar from East Tennessee, there is an intimacy – and an exhale -- that comes with amphitheater shows that offer an equally important experience the No Shoes Nation demands.

“Nothing’s like the energy of a stadium show,” Chesney admits. “But there’s also something about the amphitheaters, where the people are all so close. It’s like being with your friends somewhere back home, singing songs and hanging out, and having the best party of the year. For us, it feels like the people are so right there, and the songs are driving the night. It’s an experience we know No Shoes Nation loves and misses when we don’t do it, so this year, we’re going to make sure there are plenty of opportunities to see us under the pavilion or out on the lawn.”

While the tour kicks off April 21 at Tampa’s Raymond James Stadium, look for the more intimate amphitheater plays to begin May 10 at Virginia Beach’s Farm Bureau Live, May 11 at Charlotte, NC’s PNC Music Pavilion and May 12 at Raleigh, NC’s Coastal Credit Union Music Park. The 2018 Trip Around the Sun Tour will thread between massive stadium shows and the more streamlined concerts throughout the summer – and see Chesney create two very different kinds of concert experiences.

“Part of the fun of mixing the venues is riding the energy, letting the music breathe in different ways and really giving the audience dynamics that are so intense without being the same show across America,” Chesney explains. “The amphitheaters all have their own vibes, their own attitude – and those experiences shift very specifically. Darling’s Waterfront in Bangor, Maine is one thing; Mountain View, California’s Shoreline Amphitheater is something else altogether, just like the folks in Toronto at the Molson or Austin’s Austin360 Amphitheaters.”

With Chesney returning to a full touring calendar after creating more seats at Boston’s Gillette Stadium – to break the attendance record with 121,624 people over two nights – Chesney’s passion to play is at a new high. Energized by the response to Cosmic Hallelujah, The Big Revival, and the hits “American Kids,” “Noise,” “Save It for a Rainy Day” and “All the Pretty Girls,” the 8-time Entertainer of the Year is fired up and focused.

“I feel like this summer, we’re going to take those songs on Live in No Shoes Nation, and lift them even higher,” Chesney says. “Listening to it over and over, hearing everyone’s voices raised… It’s what makes coming out to see us special! When you get to hear all that heart, all that fun, and life, and love coming towards the stage, it really takes our breath away. So, get ready America: we’re coming! Stadiums, amphitheaters, and a whole lot of music.”

Keeping the focus on songwriting and crowd-pleasing, Chesney tapped Old Dominion, the 2015 Academy of Country Music New Vocal Duo or Group of the Year winners, for his amphitheater evenings.

DAVID LEE MURPHY IS "ALRIGHT" AT 50 STATIONS - #1 MOST ADDED TRACK FEATURES GOOD PAL KENNY CHESNEY

It’s been a long time since David Lee Murphy went to country radio, but that doesn’t seem to be slowing down the man Kenny Chesney calls “the Original Hillbilly Rock Star.” With “Everything’s Gonna Be Alright” arriving at country radio, the man known for the No. 1s “Party Crowd” and “Dust on the Bottle” scores the week’s No. 1 Most Added Song.

“It’s crazy, but it’s awesome,” says Murphy. “We all believed in this song. Heck, Kenny came in and sang on it with me – because it felt so good. When we listened to the playback, we thought we had something. Hearing we had 50 stations, it lets you know people do hear what you hear.”

“When David Lee sent me the song,” Chesney offers with a laugh, “it was such a great groove, it hooked me immediately. But what it says – and how it said it – is one of those sentiments for the times. We can all benefit from slowing down and trying to break the momentum, trust the universe and let go of what’s got a hold of us.”

Evidently, country radio shares the sentiment. Fifty radio stations across America took the lead, adding “Everything’s Gonna Be Alright” to their playlists – and making the gently churning song that features both Murphy and Chesney the most added record in the nation this week.

“It feels good,” the songwriter from Southern Illinois says. “To know my music is hitting that kind of place in people’s hearts… That’s the reason I write these songs: to make people feel something about their life. So the response is everything I could hope for, and I am so grateful to the Reviver Records team for believing, and to country radio for letting this music be heard. That’s how the dots get connected.”

Working a groove that shuffles, a pre-chorus that ambles and just enough reggae lift in the chorus, “Alright” suggests the solace of seeking balance to get through what life hands you. With crushing news cycles, an ever-quickening tech universe and increasing workloads, “Alright” is a classic exhale from the man who’s penned hits for Chesney, Jason Aldean, Blake Shelton, Thompson Square, Gary Allen and many others.

“You watch the news, it’s rough,” Murphy says. “You can get caught in that, or step back and trust life. Sometimes, a deep breath changes everything.”

Capturing the rush of being alive, the hardcore work ethic of country fans and a desire that quickens the pulse, Murphy’s No Zip Code, co-produced by Chesney, Buddy Cannon (Willie Nelson, Alison Krauss, Merle Haggard) and Murphy, is coming soon. And this duet is the first taste, marking a big return to country radio. With 50 stations so far, “Everything Is Gonna Be Alright” is alright, indeed.

DAVID LEE MURPHY SIGNS WITH REVIVER ENTERTAINMENT GROUP

Kenny Chesney and Buddy Cannon Produced NO ZIP CODE Will Mark 1st Release

David Lee Murphy Signs with Reviver Records
Top L to R: David Ross (Founder/President/CEO, Reviver Records) and Gator Michaels (Executive VP, Reviver Records)
Bottom L to R: David Lee Murphy and Kenny Chesney

Platinum-selling country artist and prolific songwriter David Lee Murphy returns to recording with Reviver Entertainment Group. The man who defined country’s freewheeling spirit with the #1 “Dust on the Bottle” and Most Played Song of 1995 “Party Crowd” will release No Zip Code on Reviver Records.

Produced by 8-time Entertainer of the Year Kenny Chesney and Buddy Cannon, No Zip Code features Murphy’s sweeping post modern country: a little bit redneck, a little bit romantic, a little bit real life. Having written hits for many of today’s biggest stars, Murphy now sings his own songs.

No Zip Code will be his fifth studio album and the first album on Reviver Records for Murphy who, in a addition to his own career as a recording artist, has written more than 50 cuts, including chart-toppers for Jason Aldean (“Big Green Tractor,” “The Only Way I Know”), Blake Shelton (“The More I Drink”), Gary Allan (“A Feelin’ Like That”), Jake Owens (“Anywhere With You”), Eli Young Band (“Always the Love Songs”), Thompson Square (the Grammy-nominated “Are You Gonna Kiss Me (Or Not)") and Chesney (“Livin’ In Fast Forward,” “Pirate Flag”). In addition, he’s penned significant album cuts for Thomas Rhett, Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line, Brooks & Dunn, Brad Paisley, Montgomery Gentry, Reba McEntire, and Keith Urban.

“I didn’t think I’d ever get out here and do this again,” Murphy says. “You focus on writing, and that’s its own kind of great. But Kenny and I got to talking, and it seemed like something worth doing. Then when we got in the studio, it felt so good, every day was more exciting than the one before.”

“David Lee is the original – and the last of – the hillbilly rock stars,” Chesney, the man The Los Angeles Times calls “The People’s Superstar,” says of Murphy. “His groove, the way he lays into a melody is so smooth, yet he uses the words for shaping the rhythm. He knows the life, and he bottles it up in song. Making this record showed us what country music can be in the 21st century.”

For Cannon and Chesney, No Zip Code is a labor of love: both for the artist and the music. Cannon, who’s recently produced projects for Alison Krauss, Willie Nelson & Merle Haggard, Jamey Johnson, George Jones and Chesney’s last thirteen releases, has co-written classic songs for Vern Gosdin, Alabama, Mel Tillis, Reba McEntire and George Strait, including the 2007 Academy of Country Music Song of the Year “Give It Away.”

“We are thrilled to welcome David Lee Murphy to Reviver,” says CEO David Ross. “His songs, his style and this record are incredible. We can’t wait to get to work.”

KENNY CHESNEY'S LAST FOUR OF 2017

Final 2017 Shows Presented by Blue Chair Bay Rum On Sale April 14: 2 Shows for the South, 2 for the Northeast

With a second Gillette Stadium show added and close to sold-out, the hunger for that live Kenny Chesney summer experience is pronounced. Though there’s a handful of festival plays on the calendar for this year, Chesney announces four more intimate shows to round out his 2017 live schedule: Tuscaloosa Amphitheater on Aug. 4 and The Wharf Amphitheatre in Orange Beach, Ala. on Aug. 5, followed by two nights at the Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Conn. on Aug. 10 and 11. All shows this summer are presented by Blue Chair Bay Rum.

“As long as we’re rehearsing and I’ve got new music in the pipeline, I can’t imagine not playing a little bit,” says Chesney. “I know that it takes time off to create and make records… to write and find songs like ‘American Kids’ and ‘Noise,’ but that doesn’t mean I don’t miss the fans. There is nothing that feeds me more than hearing the sound of the No Shoes Nation singing these songs, seeing those faces and knowing this is gonna be one of those nights.”

Having closed 2016’s Spread the Love Tour with 121,399 cheering New Englanders at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass., along with hitting the half-million mark at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey’s Meadowlands, Chesney had one of his biggest touring years – despite playing fewer dates than he has in previous years. As he says of those shows, “I can still hear the crowds when I close my eyes at night. Just when I think it can’t get any bigger or louder, the No Shoes Nation comes at me with these songs, singing and cheering and showing me how much life we can live in three minutes.”

With “Bar at the End of the World” cresting the Top 10 in the wake of the GRAMMY-nominated two week No. 1 “Setting the World on Fire” with P!nk, Cosmic Hallelujah is continuing Chesney’s intent to sing songs that capture the lives, loves, triumphs and escapes of his fans. Raised in a small town in East Tennessee, his songs have become the soundtrack of coming of age across America. NPR praised Cosmic Hallelujah for encompassing “folk's storytelling, soul's honesty and gospel's spirit,” while Newsday deemed it “country perfection” and the Boston Globe wrote, “A country artist, he’s working a wider sonic palette, that incorporates ideas from the stadium-rockers with whom he shares dressing rooms and the rollicking Nashville bars that still loom large in country music’s imagination. Bringing the two ideas together results in the album’s best songs.”

While 2017’s shows are limited, Chesney will bring everything he’s got to these dates. For fans of the 8-time Entertainer of the Year’s high-energy concerts, Alabama and Connecticut are the places to be in August for two outdoor amphitheater and two indoor arena shows, respectively.

“We’re gonna bring a whole year’s worth of energy,” Chesney promises. “So if you’re coming, you better be ready for it, because this is our chance in 2017 to rock.”

General tickets go on sale to the public on Friday, April 14 starting at 10 a.m. local time. More information: here.

KENNY CHESNEY RETURNS TO ABC'S GOOD MORNING AMERICA

No Shoes Nation Annexes Central Park for Summer Concert Series

www.kennychesney.com

NEW YORK, N.Y. (Thursday, July 7, 2016) - If it’s summer, it must be time for Kenny Chesney to Spread the Love across America’s breakfast tables -- as he teams with his friends at ABC’s Good Morning America. This Friday (7/8), Chesney will take the stage in Central Park as part of GMA’s annual Summer Concert Series.

“If there’s one thing that seems like summer – as much as our hitting the road, getting out there to the No Shoes Nation—it’s being a part of Good Morning America’s concert series in Central Park,” says the man The Los Angeles Times called “The People’s Superstar” of his upcoming appearance. “Taking the music outside is what it’s all about – and there is something about the Park that just feels like everything the music I’ve been making is all about.”

For Chesney, whose “Noise” is cresting the Top 5 this week, music has been a way to celebrate the elation of being alive. Whether the freewheeling spirit of “American Kids,” the coming of age surge of “Young,” the beauty of women coming into their own in “Wild Child” or the uplifting sweep of “Save It For A Rainy Day,” the 4-time consecutive Academy of Country Music and 4-time Country Music Association Entertainer of the Year understands using music to create a bond with people who’re consumed by living their lives.

With Some Town Somewhere moving to Oct. 28 including “Setting The World On Fire,” a special duet with P!NK, the man who scored four consecutive No. 1’s off The Big Revival continues taking his music to the No Shoes Nation with his 14-date stadium Spread The Love Tour. Heading into the halfway mark, Chesney will play Darling’s Waterfront Pavilion in Bangor, Maine then headline the Cavendish Beach Music Festival on Prince Edward Island this weekend.

“Music is medicine,” Chesney says. “It does so much good for people. You can find your life, your truth and yes, your fun in it. That’s one of the things that drew me to music, and it’s one of the best things about being out on the road: seeing all the people, hearing them sing and cheer – and you can tell how much fun they’re having. The fact music can do that, well, that’s part of why playing Good Morning America is such a great thing: get people’s day off to a great start, and let them take that music with them.”

Look for Kenny Chesney and his band tomorrow morning on ABC’s Good Morning America. Their Summer Concert Series airs live from Central Park.

KENNY CHESNEY MOVES "SOME TOWN SOMEWHERE" TO 10/28

Follow Up to Big Revival Gets A Very Special Duet Featuring P!NK

When Kenny Chesney makes an album, he wants to expand the themes he’s already explored. “American Kids” took the joy of youth he celebrated with “Young” – and went even deeper into the realm of what it means to be free-spirited, alive and in the moment. “Wild Child” captured the same awe at what women truly are that made “Anything But Mine” such an enduring No. 1. Even the hard rocking “The Big Revival” embraced a fuller-tilt take on the reggae-tinged “Everybody Wants to Go Heaven” and its hardcore love and live your life ethos.

With its propulsive look at information addiction, 24/7 news cycles and sonic overload “Noise” became Chesney’s most added first week single ever – and as the Chesney/Shane McAnally/Ross Copperman /Jon Nite song approaches the Top 5, Chesney thought about what he wanted Some Town Somewhere to mean. Not just an album about the state of the world, he wanted to get to the state of the heart – and a song that captured the euphoria of those moments when love turns into something more: “Setting The World On Fire.”

“To have a song that is so ‘right in the moment’,” the songwriter/superstar from East Tennessee says, “is a rare thing. ‘Somewhere With You’ had it, too. But that’s a song of wanting, and this, this is a song of being. But the more I listened, the more I knew I needed a woman’s voice, to be in the song with me.”

While spending time in California, Chesney had run into and become friendly with P!NK. The Grammy Award winning singer and powerful vocalist, seemed both an unlikely choice and the perfect candidate. As Chesney explains, “P!NK’s voice holds so many feelings all at the same time: joy, desire, a bit of toughness, a little hurt. She’s an incredible singer – and has this great tone that shines but has a little wear to it, but doesn’t sound beat up. So I called her.”

The resulting duet took the song of lipstick on mirrors, bands on t-shirts and the electric sensation of being completely and wildly enamored to a whole other place. While commitments and album release schedules are for business, for Chesney, the larger issue is always doing right by the songs.

“The thing about P!NK, beyond what a great singer she is, is what a generous spirit she has. To me, great singers are the ones who can get inside a song and capture the spark. When you hear P!NK on this song, you believe her – and to me, that’s everything the song required to come to life.”

Having spent the winter writing, listening to songs and recharging his batteries, the only country act on Billboard’s Top 10 Touring Acts of the Last 25 Years had plenty of time to consider what he wants. Given his groundbreaking series of No. 1 duets with Uncle Kracker, Grace Potter, Dave Matthews, Mac McAnally and the Wailers, Chesney realized this duet was something worth waiting for – moving the album, Some Town Somewhere, to October 28.

“Sure, it would be easier to just leave everything on schedule,” allows the man who headlined Pittsburgh’s Heinz Field Saturday. “But when you have something you know is great, and it captures the best part of being alive, why wouldn’t you slow down enough to make it happen in the moment? That’s what ‘Setting The World On Fire’ is all about – and I figure it may be a while before I make another record, and I don’t want to wait to share this because it’s so good.”

KENNY CHESNEY ROCKS ASBURY PARK; STONE PONY SHOW POURS INTO THE STREETS

SiriusXM No Shoes Radio Launch at Stone Pony is a Sweaty, Joyous Night

By the time Kenny Chesney leaned into his set’s last song almost two hours after taking the stage at the legendary Stone Pony, it was clear that the aptly titled “Don’t Happen Twice” captured the feeling of the chilly New Jersey night. Inside the belly-to-belly club, it was so hot the 8-time Entertainer of the Year was covered in sweat from the second song – and outside, the several hundred hopefuls who couldn’t get a ticket were bathed in the music rolling out of the open doors and onto Ocean Avenue.

For Chesney, the show capped the launch of his No Shoes Radio on SiriusXM. Like the radio station Chesney pioneered eight years ago, the set was eclectic – multi-instrumentalist Jon Conley did a spot-on Willie Nelson for “Whiskey River,” Harmoni Kelley did her now-expected take on AC/DC’s “Whole Lotta Rosie” and guitarist Clayton Mitchell did a blazing take on Stevie Ray Vaughan’s “Pride And Joy” featuring a harmonica cutting contest between tour coordinator Robin Majors and legendary photographer Danny Clinch – and full of heartfelt moments, including rare performances of “The Life,” last fall’s three week No. 1 “Save It For A Rainy Day” and a rendition of “When I See This Bar” that had the audience singing the chorus response louder than the band.

“There’s something about playing a real live bar,” Chesney said. “The audience is so close, so ready for the music, it’s like the night explodes. For something being broadcast live across America, I can’t think of a better place to celebrate No Shoes Radio on SiriusXM.”

The audience – SiriusXM subscribers who won tickets – came in from across America. Aware of the lengths travelled, as well as the people listening at home, he sent regards to everyone “everywhere from Maine to Malibu.” Later introducing “No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problems,” he proclaimed “Everyone out there in the No Shoes Nation, this is your anthem – and has been since 2002!”

With “Noise,” the last minute swapped single from Some Town Somewhere being Chesney’s most added first week single ever, the man the Dallas Morning News called “Two parts Mick Jagger, one part Bruce Springsteen, one part Billy Graham” is hitting a new creative peak. His Spread The Love Tour reflects that passion for music among all of this year’s participants.

Towards the end of the set, Chesney talked to the audience of the debate he had about the next song. “Part of me thought it was cliché, part of me wanted to pay respect... This song was on my No Shoes album, and I got an amazing letter from my friend from Asbury Park. It was one of the highlights of my life. I believe Bruce is in Barcelona, so Bruce, greetings from Asbury Park!”

As the crowd cheered, an acoustic guitar part hushed the room – and Chesney’s easy baritone found its way through, “Woke up this morning, the house was cold/ Checked out the furnace, she wasn’t burnin’...” In a complete gear switch, he moved from the propulsive “Noise” and “American Kids” to the stunning “One Step Up,” and the audience followed him.

“That’s the thing about these sorts of shows: you can hit hard and throw fast, but the crowd is so right there, you can also make it pin-drop quiet in a few bars,” Chesney marveled. “It was the kind of night, the music could lead – and we let it.”

With his Spread The Love Tour, kicking off with 50,430 fans at Auburn University’s Jordan-Hare Stadium, heading to Mohegan Sun for two nights, Chesney’s summer is already blazing. With The Stone Pony show to fire him up, it’s gonna be quite a weekend.

KENNY CHESNEY NAMED ONE OF BILLBOARD'S TOP 5 TOURING ACTS OF 2015

Only Country Act Along w Taylor Swift, 1-D, U2 & the Stones

Credit: Jill Trunnell

NEW YORK, N.Y. – (Dec. 15, 2015) - When Kenny Chesney took his 2015 The Big Revival Tour on the road, he wanted to rock as many people as humanly possible. With just 57 dates, albeit 23 stadiums, the man The Wall Street Journal called “The King of the Road” was the only country act making Billboard’s Top 5 Touring Acts of 2015 – alongside Taylor Swift, One Direction, U2 and the Rolling Stones.

Beyond the dollars, Chesney played to the third highest number of fans – 1,335,022 – after list-topper Swift’s 1,982,076 for 71 shows and No. 2 One Direction's 2,337,938 for 80 shows. Summer after summer, the 4-time Country Music Association and 4-time Academy of Country Music Entertainer of the Year remains focused on rocking the No Shoes Nation for all they’re worth.

“Every year when we hit the road, I’m trying to figure out how to bring it harder, play more music and make it a night the people who live their lives in the songs will remember,” says the high-impact songwriter who’s sold in excess of a million tickets each of his 13 headlining tours since 2002. “We’ve been doing this enough years, that you know you have to really bring it to just compete with what you’ve already done. And it’s about the music you’re making now, as well as the ability to bring it when you hit the stage every night.”

Hailed as “Two parts Mick Jagger, one part Bruce Springsteen and one part Billy Graham” by The Dallas Morning News, Chesney’s The Big Revival broke nine records this summer – including several of his own – one being 120,206 fans over two nights at Gillette Stadium, marking his 12th and 13th show at the home of the New England Patriots.

“People want to rock, to have a good time and forget their problems,” Chesney explains. “But they’re not looking to mindlessly spend the night. They come to remember the moments that mattered to them – and maybe make a few more memories in the process – and I’ve been lucky that my songs have reflected how the No Shoes Nation lives their lives on every level.”

Having a new record that yielded four consecutive No. 1’s doesn’t hurt. In addition to the GRAMMY- and CMA-nominated, multiple-week No. 1 “American Kids,” he had “Til It’s Gone,” the CMA Musical Event nominee “Wild Child” with Grace Potter and the three week chart-topper “Save It for a Rainy Day,” all songs that show his creative fire matches his unrelenting passion for his near legendary live shows.

The Big Revival also is the eighth time Chesney has won Top Package at Billboard’s annual Touring Awards. The man, who has brought Keith Urban, Carrie Underwood, Lady Antebellum, Rascal Flatts, Zac Brown Band and Dierks Bentley out with him, tapped Jason Aldean, Eric Church, Brantley Gilbert, Old Dominion, Cole Swindell and Chase Rice out this summer. His sold out show at Chicago’s Soldier Field with Miranda Lambert inspired Chesney to tap his former tour mate for his upcoming 2016 tour of stadiums, amphitheaters, arenas and a few festivals.

“Making records is incredible,” Chesney offers about the music’s spark. “But it’s onstage where the connection happens and the spark pops. You take the songs out to the fans, and you realize how much they mean. When you bring all you’ve got, and they throw even more energy back at you, there’s nothing like it! We don’t tour for this kind of recognition, but it’s sure nice to know when you have fans as committed as the No Shoes Nation, they’re being recognized for how much they bring to our tours! They fly all over… meet up… and I’m thrilled to be part of it.”

KENNY CHESNEY SPREADS MORE LOVE ON BOSTON - 2ND STADIUM SHOW ADDED

August 27 will see second stadium show at Gillette Stadium

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – (Nov. 16, 2015) – There has been a love affair between Kenny Chesney and the area around Boston since long before his first sold-out show at Foxborough’s Gillette Stadium in 2005. Having broken his own record by playing to 120,206 fans on Aug. 28 and 29 this year, the man The Wall Street Journal crowned “The King of the Road” never wanted to take that relationship for granted. He announced a single stadium show for Friday, Aug. 26 hoping that pre-sale demand would warrant adding that second date.

Pre-sale response was so strong, a second show on Saturday, Aug. 27  is being added before tickets to the general public go on sale. Tomorrow (Nov. 17) at 10 a.m. Eastern, the pre-sale will begin. Tickets for both shows will go on sale to the public on Friday, Nov. 20 at 10 a.m. Eastern.

“You never want to just assume people are as into you are you are to them,” Chesney says. “The people of New England, and especially Boston, have been so good to us for so long – and after this year, I didn’t want to assume we could do those kinds of numbers a second straight year. But once we went up on sale, we realized this year could be even bigger than last year… which is crazy.

“Then again, we named the No Shoes Nation at Foxborough. We’ve sold out 13 shows over eight years, and the heart, strength and passion of the people of Boston is what inspired me to start the Spread the Love Fund after the Boston Marathon bombing. So, I don’t know why I ever hesitated. Here’s to two rocking nights with some of my dearest friends in one of my favorite places in the world.”

This show marks Chesney’s 15th play in the home of the New England Patriots. With Miranda Lambert, Sam Hunt and Old Dominion joining him for the weekend, the Spread the Love Tour is destined to reach new heights in one of the eight-time Entertainer of the Year’s most enduring markets.

“Gillette Stadium holds so many special memories,” Chesney says. “Last year when the Kraft family brought the Super Bowl trophies on stage with us… It was crazy. Not to mention playing ‘Happy on the Hey Now’ with Gretchen Rhodes, one of the original island girls who were a bridge to this city. Places like that really stand out, really give a reason to keep going during the summer – because as good as it is, you know there is something even better ahead.”

That’s pretty strong praise. Chesney’s Big Revival 2015 broke nine attendance records – many his own -- on the way to selling in excess of 1.3 million tickets this summer. The only country artist on Billboard’s Top 10 Touring Acts of the Past 25 years, Chesney has created a summer touring institution that has brought fans together from all over America for each of his dozen tours, and 2016 looks to be no different.

“The energy this summer was insane,” Chesney says. “It makes me wanna get back out there right now. Just getting these stadium shows on the books fires me up and tells me to get ready ‘cause there’s a lot of music getting ready to happen. And Boston strong it is, and then some.”

KENNY CHESNEY'S ROSE BOWL HISTORY

Beyond 53,864 Fans Rocked
Keith Jackson Presented A Brick for the Walk

Pasadena, Calif. (July 26, 2015) --  For Kenny Chesney, playing “The Granddaddy of Them All” as ABC’s legendary sportscaster Keith Jackson deemed the Rose Bowl decades ago, was a bucket list item. And when he took the stage at the iconic venue built in 1922, he took it with all the intensity of every college football team that played there on New Year’s Day, the athletes at the ’84 Summer Olympics and the various teams at the many World Cup matches that have played there.

"You know when you wake up and you see that sign, you’re on hallowed ground,” Chesney said. “I’ve seen so many games played there, so much history – and I understand the heart it took from every athlete who’s ever come out of those tunnels. To stand on that stage, I knew I wanted to try to honor all those folks who’ve come before us.”

Beyond delivering a scorching two-hour show that included his 27th No. 1 “Wild Child” and the freewheeling GRAMMY-nominated “American Kids” from The Big Revival to a packed house, Chesney was further inspired by Keith Jackson surprising him backstage. As Jackson presented the East Tennessean with a commemorative brick to be placed in the Brick Walk at the South Main Entrance and the first ever Rose Bowl Stadium jersey, it was an emotional moment for the songwriter/superstar.

“There is so much history just hearing that voice,” Chesney marveled. “Let alone seeing that face: all those games, all those plays he called. That’s the sound of me growing up! And what an honor to get to sit a bit on the bus and talk to him about everything he’s seen… even before the show started, I was having a pretty high-powered time.”

It’s been a big summer for The Big Revival Tour. Chesney broke his own record at Pittsburgh’s Heinz Field with 55,381, Green Bay’s Lambeau Field with 53,363, Philadelphia’s Lincoln Financial Field with 54,313 and Minneapolis’ Target Stadium for the third time with 44,152.  His intensity prompted The Dallas Morning News to write “Two parts Mick Jagger, one part Bruce Springsteen and one part Billy Graham” after his Texas/AT&T Stadium show.

His Rose Bowl set was no exception. With Reese Witherspoon, Vince Vaughn, Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis on the side of the stage, Chesney played 19 songs before taking a breath – and then returned with the night’s co-headliner Jason Aldean to play four more, including spirited covers of John Mellencamp’s “Hurt So Good” and Bryan Adams’ “Summer of '69.”

“Those folks had had a long day in all that heat, but man, they were so ready for us… ready to hear the music, to sing along, to make every single song matter,” Chesney said. “When I dropped out during ‘Anything But Mine,’ they sang so clear and so true, you could’ve made a record out of it – and for me, they made a memory that will last a lifetime. To play a place where football means so much, especially to an audience that live, I’ll never forget it...”

With upcoming stadium shows at Denver’s Sports Authority Stadium at Mile High Aug. 8, E. Rutherford, NJ’s Met Life Stadium Aug. 15, Detroit’s Ford Field Aug. 22 and a double at Foxboro’s Gillette Stadium Aug. 28-29, the man The Wall Street Journal called “The King of the Road” will have headlined 135 stadium plays since his Washington, DC/Pittsburgh/Boston stadium run in 2005. Having taken a year to get ready for The Big Revival, it shows in the intensity of the shows, the fan and yes, the man from Tennessee.

KENNY CHESNEY VISITS FIRST COASTAL CONSERVATION REEFS IN ST. JOHN RIVER

Funds for the Two Reefs Were Raised Via Partnership with Chesney and Costa Sunglasses

Jacksonville, Fla. (June 29, 2015) -- Kenny Chesney got to do something very special before his sold-out Florida Country Superfest show June 14: the East Tennessee songwriter/superstar visited the first two No Shoes Reefs in Jacksonville’s St. John River. Named the Coastal Conservation Association and George Holt Reefs, the man-made reefs – designed to promote quality of aquatic life – were built through the support of Chesney’s ongoing partnership with Costa Del Mar Sunglasses and The Coastal Conservation Association/Building Conservation Trust.

“It’s so easy to take the oceans and waterways for granted,” Chesney says. “What they were able to create here says a lot about the ways man can live not just in harmony, but supporting our natural aquatic resources. Beyond clean water, it is about supporting healthy marine life... and that includes being aware of the impact of erosion under the water.”

Thirteen-hundred tons of concrete was used to create the two reefs. In total, 18 barge loads were needed to carry the material to the two designated reef sites. Each reef measures 200’ x 200’ – and were built in a two-week time frame to minimize disruption.

“Looking at the underwater sonar, it’s amazing,” Chesney marvels. “In only 18 months, these reefs aren’t just alive, they’re thriving with life. As a guy who has so many of my happiest memories on the water, I couldn’t be happier to be a part of creating something like this in partnership with the City of Jacksonville, the people at the Coastal Conservation Association and the sales of my line of sunglasses with Costa Del Mar.

All these teams came together to do something really good for the world, and I love the idea that now two reefs are working to help strengthen the health of the river. When you protect that, you insure the survival of something integral for our survival, as well as nurturing an ideal habitat for marine life. I’m blown away by how this has grown.”

"The sky's the limit because there's so many places that  need healthy marine habitat," expressed Coastal Conservation Association President, Pat Murray. "We were just talking about the incredible life on this river and what this reef is doing to enhance that life. If we do that times ten or times 100 or  who knows, we can make a real difference for the health of our oceans."

Easily accessible by boats, the reefs provide a much-needed habitat and improved fishing in this section of the river, which is approximately 20 miles inland from the Atlantic. Drawing inspiration from life on the water, the 8-time Academy of Country Music/Country Music Association Entertainer of the Year hopes to insure the future of the oceans and beaches for generations to come.

“To get out on the water and float around something that started as a dream and a couple conversations about what to do with the money the sunglasses line had brought in, that’s powerful,” Chesney continues. “The proof is in the water, and I couldn’t be prouder of all the people who helped build it, the University of Jacksonville for studying it and everyone who contributed in so many different ways to make this a reality.”

Already announced as the headliner for the 2016 Florida Country Superfest, Chesney continues his 2015 Big Revival Tour this weekend with stops at Ava Amphitheater in Tuscon, Ariz. and The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nev.

KENNY CHESNEY'S "WILD CHILD" CLAIMS THE COUNTRY CHARTS TOP SPOT

Third Straight No.1 from The Big Revival Is Grace Potter’s first No.1

Nashville, Tenn. (June 15, 2015) - Kenny Chesney knew he wanted to say some things that weren’t being said when he went in to make The Big Revival. One thing that was important to him was celebrating the potency of women’s spirits, hearts, and souls – beyond whatever physical attributes they might also have – and he wrote “Wild Child,” a dreamy ballad that once again features Grace Potter, to do just that.

Ironically, as Bonnaroo 2015 breaks camp for another year, the song that celebrates the storied music festival as well as Burning Man, hits No. 1 on the Billboard and Mediabase Country Singles charts - marking the first time since Hemingway’s Whiskey that Chesney has seen his first three singles top the charts. It is also the very first No. 1 for Grace Potter, who shared a GRAMMY nomination with Chesney for “You & Tequila.”

“I knew this was a very special song when I finished writing it with Shane (McAnally) and Josh (Osborne),” Chesney allows. “It was everything I wanted to say about what makes a woman alluring...about those things that capture your imagination and make you want to be closer. It certainly wasn’t the norm of what was happening with country radio, but it felt like something I wanted people to remember, to think about.

“We didn’t know how it was going to do, especially right now when ballads are everything people aren’t listening to, but we believed in the song. I wanna say ‘thank you’ to country radio for thinking outside the box. Your support made this possible.”

Currently on tour with The Big Revival, Chesney sold a million tickets before ever playing the first note. Having headlined Florida’s Country Superfest on Sunday night to record-breaking crowds, he broke his own attendance record in Pittsburgh and is playing to unprecedented crowds and reviews, including The Dallas Morning News who quantified the singer as “Two parts Mick Jagger, one part Bruce Springsteen, one part Billy Graham.”

But ultimately, it is the fans who make the tours and respond to the songs. For Chesney, enjoying his 12th year as a headliner, it is the spirit of “Wild Child” that defines his fans, the No Shoes Nation, and the best of every woman he sees when he looks out from the stage.

“To me, a girl who is so alive, so in the moment, so curious and hungry for life...There’s nothing like her,” Chesney said of the song’s inspiration. “You can’t tie 'em down. So free...and so intense because of it. Nothing is more attractive. To me, that makes women really special. Whether they want to live in the mountains, become a doctor, play music in Hawaii, surf around the world, whatever their passion is, that is what drives them – and man, it’s an amazing thing.

“When we wrote this, I knew we needed Grace Potter’s voice on there, because she is everything the song is about. That it gets to be her first Number One record somehow seems so right, because the song is her, as well as so many other women and young girls that I know.”

Marking his 27th No. 1, Chesney continues creating the songs that hold people’s lives. With the GRAMMY and multiple Academy of Country Music nominated “American Kids” and the invitation to live every moment to the hilt “Til It’s Gone” already topping the charts, The Big Revival proves another core sample of who country fans are and the moments that matter most.

KENNY CHESNEY "CRUSHES" PITTSBURGH ... OVER 200 BOATS ... "JURASSIC WORLD" AND A NEW RECORD

The advance coverage began almost two weeks prior in anticipation of Kenny Chesney’s 8th sold-out appearance at Heinz Field. The No Shoes Nation navy, eventually numbering well over 200 boats, began dropping anchor Tuesday evening... Local filmmakers even created a “Jurassic World” teaser clip, featuring the country star towering over the iconic football field, which went viral.

By the time, the time the man the Wall Street Journal deemed “The King of the Road” hit the stage at 9:11 Saturday night, Pittsburgh was primed and ready to rock. With attendance of 55,381, Chesney broke his own attendance record – set in 2007 at just over 54,000. So much erroneous information has been reported around the venue, The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette addresses the discrepancies with a May 25 Pop Noise column.

Not that any of it mattered to the 8-time Entertainer of the Year. Following his New Orleans funeral/voodoo-themed “Big Revival” opening film and the “Jurassic World” online clip, Chesney took to the sky, leaning into “Reality” as he was transported over the fans’ heads on a high wire. His hard-hitting, almost two-hour set didn’t slow down for a moment the entire night.

The Post-Gazette wrote Chesney “let loose on stage, he was in constant motion with rousing sing-along faves like ‘Beer in Mexico,’ ‘Keg In The Closet’ and ‘Summertime’ and well-received new ones ‘Til It’s Gone’ and ‘American Kids.’ His white-hot Nashville band got way more wattage than the openers to fill the stadium with screaming guitars and crushing beats.”

“Heinz Field was the first wave of NFL Stadiums I played after (Knoxville’s) Neyland Stadium. The Pittsburgh fans have so much heart, grit and muscle, they almost shove you off the stage,” Chesney says of his perennial tour stop where the Three Rivers meet. “We’ve had some amazing shows this year, so I knew we were ready and hungry for Pittsburgh.”

As a warm-up, the high-energy songwriter/performer worked out with many of the Steelers on Friday – and had several team members as his guest at Saturday’s show. After a heartfelt tribute to the Rooney Family, who own the storied team, then launched into his all-heart high school football homage “Boys of Fall,” including having legendary player Ben Roethlisberger come up to help him present the evening’s helmet.

“We were ready, the No Shoes Nation was readier,” Chesney said immediately after his sweat-soaked show. “They throw it at us, and it drives us even further. Whatever they give, we wanna give back, and man, that was some night out there. I got to do ‘When I See This Bar’ with Eric Church – and that’s always special because it says everything about what people like the No Shoes Nation find in the music. Even that horrible storm that had trees down didn’t blunt their enthusiasm in any way. It was crazy in Heinz Field.”

Kicking off the Corona Light-sponsored The Big Revival 2015 Tour with two sold-out shows in Nashville, the velocity of this 20-stadium 55-city trek has not slowed. With The Dallas Morning News proclaiming, “Two parts Jagger, one part Bruce Springsteen and one part Billy Graham” after his unrelenting AT&T Texas Stadium show, Chicago’s Soldier Field needs to get ready for Saturday’s show.

KENNY CHESNEY'S 'THE BIG REVIVAL 2015' HITS STADIUMS

Joins Jason Aldean’s BURN IT DOWN To Open San Francisco’s Levi’s Stadium May 2

PRESS RELEASE

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Monday, April 27, 2015) – When Kenny Chesney kicked off his The Big Revival 2015 Tour with two sold-out nights at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena, he knew it was just the tip of the iceberg. The man who’s the only country artist in Billboard’s Top 10 Touring Acts of the Last 25 Years – headlining for only 12 – is the most alive when he’s taking his always high-energy shows to the largest venues.

Saturday, May 2, Chesney merges THE BIG REVIVAL TOUR with Jason Aldean’s wildly successful BURN IT DOWN TOUR for the first of a dozen co-headlining shows. The pair will open San Francisco’s brand new Levi’s Stadium – bringing high impact country to the Bay area for one definitive night of music.

“There is nothing I love more than playing stadiums,” Chesney says. “The energy and the size of the stage lets me get close to so many more people – and that is a feeling unlike any other. To be able to join up with Jason for these shows this summer, I think it’s the kind of night people won’t forget.”

The man The Wall Street Journal deemed “The King of the Road” has a special place in his heart for the City By The Bay. As he says, “San Francisco has always been an amazing place for us. I’ve had Steve Miller and Sammy Hagar join me onstage there... The fans come early, they stay late – and they always send us into multiple encores. If this is how we’re kicking off the year in stadiums, this is going to be a pretty strong bar-setter.”

Chesney, a 4-time Country Music Association and 4-time consecutive Academy of Country Music Entertainer of the Year, has had 26 #1s, 13 #1 Albums and sold in excess of 30 albums. Heralded as “The People’s Superstar” by The Los Angeles Times, his summer concerts are legend:  indeed, many people plan their vacations around his tour schedule.

Jason Aldean, whose Old Boots, New Dirt became his second #1 Billboard Top 200 Album chart debut, is known for high intensity shows, his sense of true grit and songs that capture the way his fans genuinely live. Country's most downloaded male artist and three-time Academy of Country Music Male Vocalist of the Year has extended his wildly successful BURN IT DOWN TOUR into 2015, including the dozen stadium shows with Chesney.

This pairing extends beyond the two headliners. Joining them in San Francisco will be Jake Owen, known for his laid back, but invested take on country – including the #1 hits “Beachin’,” “Barefoot Blue Jean Night” and “What I Ain’t Got.” Also on the bill is Luke Bryan/Thomas Rhett/Florida Georgia Line hit songwriter/emerging artist Cole Swindell, whose hit #1 on his own “Chillin’ It” and “Hope You Get Lonely Tonight.”

Kenny Chesney’s THE BIG REVIVAL TOUR is presented by Corona Light & Blue Chair Bay Rum.

KENNY CHESNEY LAUNCHES "NO SHOES TV"

ESPN Music/VH-1/NHL Vet Deanna Kay Anchors The Summer’s Biggest Shows!

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (April 17, 2015) - Somewhere on the Road:  Kenny Chesney has always believed in getting his fans as close as possible. He started the Sand Bar at his shows to let the hardcore fans come down front and dance before it was a country music standard. He launched No Shoes Radio to let fans take the vibe of his music and shows with them anytime, anywhere via smart phone app or online (noshoesradio.com.)

Now he launches No Shoes TV, a quick-hit round-up of the best moments at this year’s The Big Revival Tour’s major stadiums shows. Correspondent Deanna Kay – who kicks the series off at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena -- will catch up with the No Shoes Nation in the parking lot, on the road, in the stands and anywhere she thinks there’s a moment to capture.

“I’ve always said there is so much more to these shows and this tour than what happens onstage,” says Chesney. “The No Shoes Nation are the most passionate music lovers I’ve ever seen. When you get out amongst them, you can’t help but get swept up. And I wanted to give the people who can’t be there a chance to get the feel for the whole day... because some of what happens, you’ll never get a regular TV network to make part of a concert special.”

The camaraderie, the stories, the friendship, the boats, the cornhole challenges, the cook-outs... That’s just the tip of the iceberg. Veteran reporter Kay understands: she’s been capturing the fan pre-game action as part of ESPN Music’s “College Game Day” for years, as well as interviewing celebrities for ESPN Music’s “Game Time with Deanna Kay.” Her work has also been an integral part of VH-1’s “Big Morning Buzz,” as well as doing behind the scenes work for MTV’s “House of Style,” “TRL,” the annual “Video Music Awards” and “Jammed.”

“My dream job is to be an on-camera host mixing sports, music and social media. I want to make people smile, be informative and fun,” Kay says. With her high-energy personality and natural curiosity about people, she will be channeling the shows for anyone who can’t make it.

Kay will also be a ticket source. During tour stops, she will hide tickets, leaving clues via social media (@NoShoesNation on Twitter/Instagram, as well as No Shoes Nation’s Facebook page) to give fans the opportunity to have scavenger hunt fun and get upgraded, as well as rewarding people with the best stories some of the coveted wristbands for the GA area down front.

USA Today wrote of The Big Revival Tour’s kick-off,  “Outside Bridgestone Arena was cold and drizzling Thursday night. Inside, it might as well have been a beach party, as Kenny Chesney kicked off The Big Revival Tour 2015,” and Rolling Stone opined, “Fired up and sold out. The Nashville show was a packed house — with tickets selling so fast that the country superstar decided to add a second night.” The Big Revival Tour – with a million tickets sold before the first note was played – is this summer’s “tour of the year.”

No Shoes TV—which lives on Kennychesney.com -- brings the No Shoes Nation experience into view for people who love his high-energy shows and life-defining music. Whether you’re spending the summer chasing the Corona Light-sponsored Big Revival Tour or hearing any number of his 26 No. 1s floating out of the radio, No Shoes TV will put you right in the heart of the action.

Nashville, Tenn. (March 27, 2015): Kenny Chesney – clad in a dark sleeveless Grace Potter and the Nocturnals t-shirt – hit Nashville like a house a-fire. From the opening of the New Orleans funeral drum corps/street preacher noir film until the last ringing note of Joe Walsh’s hard-charging “All Night Long,” the East Tennessean showed how much he missed the fans since he walked offstage after two sold-out nights at Foxboro’s Gillette Stadium in 2013.

In a 36 song set that took 13 songs to get to a ballad, the 8-time Entertainer of the Year relentlessly moved across the stage, held the center, engaged the fans and delivered the kind of impassioned performance that made Chesney the only Country Artist on Billboard’s Top 10 Touring Acts of the Last 25 Years. Opening with “Drink It Up” from his 13th #1 The Big Revival, the show was a romp featuring not just his hits but many of his guests’ best loved songs.

Taylor Swift took the stage as the living embodiment of everything Chesney’s girl-with-a-dream “Big Star” represents, singing hard and showing off an explosive power in her delivery. As the song swung into its final verse, the pair swept a young girl out of the audience and with a nod to the future, let her help sing the final chorus.

That spirit of friendship permeated. Grace Potter emerged from the shadows, providing yearning harmonies on the current single “Wild Child.” She would return to kick-off the night’s six-song encore, just Chesney and a pair of guitars on the yearning “You & Tequila.” Uncle Kracker reprised the pair’s six week #1, “When the Sun Goes Down,” then performed his breakthrough “Follow Me” and the 28-week Adult Contemporary #1 cover of Dobie Gray’s “Drift Away.”

There were redneck songwriters – David Lee Murphy, who wrote “Living In Fast Forward,” “Pirate Flag,” “Flora-Bama,” performed his #1 “Dust on the Bottle,” as well as “Party Crowd” from his gold 1994 debut Out With A Bang. There were Rock and Roll Hall of Famers – Joe Walsh, who not only led the crowd in singing “Happy Birthday” to the headliner, but scorched “Rocky Mountain Way,” “Life in the Fast Lane,” “All Night Long” and “Life’s Been Good” with a ferocity that scalded the AOR classics.

There were nakedly intimate moments: Chesney and guitar on his signature “Old Blue Chair,” alone in a spotlight on the thrust with only Wyatt Beard on keyboards for the multiple week #1 “There Goes My Life.” For “Anything But Mine,” the paean to a summer love, so many fans held lighters and cell phones with flames aloft, the crowd was almost brighter than the stage.

“Rock Bottom” hit hard. Later newcomer Harmoni Kelley McCarty’s feverish take on AC/DC’s “Whole Lotta Rosie” exploded into the GRAMMY-nominated “American Kids.”

With two sold-out Bridgestone Arena shows starting his The Big Revival 2015 Tour, Chesney is already leaning into summer with a vengeance. His Corona Light sponsored tour finds him playing 55 dates, including 22 stadiums between now and the end of August – and it looks like the man The Wall Street Journal called “The King of the Road” has no plans to secede his crown.

“That crowd was awesome,” Chesney enthused. “Talk about the greatest birthday present! Hearing them sing those songs back at me: it’s why the No Shoes Nation rocks. Nobody loves music like they do, and I am always amazed by how hard they throw that energy at us.”
