KENNY ROGERS ANNOUNCES FIRST SET OF FINAL WORLD TOUR DATES

"The Gambler's Last Deal" Begins On May 13th

www.kennyrogers.com

After more than five decades of touring and entertaining the world, Kenny Rogers will begin his final world tour on May 13th in Mahnomen, Minnesota.

Rogers announced late last year on NBC’s The Today Show that this upcoming tour would be his last. “The Gambler’s Last Deal” is expected to run into 2017. Dates are still being added due to popular demand. The tour will include special guest Linda Davis for all dates, along with Charlie Worsham for select dates in Europe. Davis is a GRAMMY® Award winner whose hits include the No. 1 song, “Does He Love You” (with Reba McEntire). Nashville based singer-songwriter Worsham, who is excited to return to Europe with Rogers after a successful tour there earlier this year, is currently in the studio working on the follow up to his critically acclaimed debut, Rubberband.

“I’m excited about making one more sweep around the world,” Rogers remarked. “For more than five decades, I’ve been fortunate enough to have such wonderful, loyal audiences, and their support has meant so much. This final tour is going to be a celebration of all of my music, and I know each night will be truly special."

“The Gambler’s Last Deal” concerts will include a reflective look back through Rogers’ storied 50-plus-year career. Enhanced with personal stories, vintage photos and video clips—including never-before-seen footage—the retrospective will touch on every part of Rogers’ career. Along with his long list of hits, Rogers plans to sing songs he hasn’t performed in years. The show is produced by veteran producer Kelly Junkermann.

Making this rare tour experience even more special, a very limited number of VIP ticket packages will be offered, allowing fans the opportunity to meet Rogers and receive one-of-a-kind “The Gambler’s Last Deal” memorabilia. Two types of VIP packages are available for each show of the tour. For more information, visit: www.kennyrogers.com

Rogers has sold more than 120 million albums worldwide. He has charted a record within each of the last seven decades. The first country artist to consistently sell out arenas, Rogers achieved pop superstardom as well — his 28 Billboard Adult Contemporary Top 10's rank him fourth-best of all time among men, trailing only Elton John, Neil Diamond, and Elvis Presley. Rogers has recorded 24 No. 1 hits, 12 No. 1 albums, 25 Top 10 country albums and is the RIAA’s eighth best-selling male solo artist of all time. The Country Music Hall of Fame member has received three GRAMMY® Awards, 11 People's Choice Awards, 19 American Music Awards, eight Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards and six Country Music Association (CMA) Awards, among many other accolades.

KENNY ROGERS AND HOME FREE TEAM UP WITH BILLBOARD.COM FOR THE EXCLUSIVE WORLD PREMIERE OF “CHILDREN, GO WHERE I SEND THEE” MUSIC VIDEO

Home Free Wraps Up 47-Date Fall Tour And Gears Up For
December’s HOME FREE FOR THE HOLIDAYS Tour

Kenny Rogers and country vocal sensation Home Free have partnered with Billboard.com for the exclusive worldwide video premiere of “Children, Go Where I Send Thee”. This recording of the traditional gospel song featured on Rogers’ new Christmas album ONCE AGAIN IT'S CHRISTMAS produced by Kyle Lehning and Warren Hartman (Warner Bros./Warner Music Nashville), highlights the music icon’s unmistakable baritone with Home Free’s trademark, seamless harmonies.

The singers met for the first time at Lehning’s recording studio The Compound in Nashville, TN to record the track this past summer. Later they reconnected to shoot the music video, directed by FifGen Films, at Music City’s historic Houston Station. The collaboration was an unexpected dream come true for Home Free.

“What an honor to share the microphone with Kenny Rogers! Apart from having one of the most iconic voices of all time, Kenny is an absolute class act,” enthused Home Free’s bass, Tim Foust. “Our producer, Darren Rust, crafted a brilliant arrangement of ‘Children, Go Where I Send Thee’ and the result is something special.”

When asked about how the collaboration came together, Kenny Rogers said, "My son’s choir director at school told me I needed to check Home Free out so I went home and Googled them and saw them sing ‘Ring Of Fire.’ They were incredible, and I thought, ‘I must do something with them,’” shared Rogers. “They were just perfect on ‘Children, Go Where I Send Thee,’ and we had a great time in the studio and filming the video together. They were so nice to work with musically and exceptionally well-driven. It really speaks volumes for their talent and professionalism. I’m so happy we were able to collaborate on this song."

This past Wednesday (11/11), Rogers launched his 34th annual Christmas & Hits Tour, ONCE AGAIN IT’S CHRISTMAS, featuring Linda Davis, in Niagara Falls, Ontario. The 32-date run supports his first Christmas album release in 17 years; the 11-track ONCE AGAIN IT'S CHRISTMAS (Warner Bros./Warner Music Nashville) is now available in stores nationwide and everywhere digital music is sold. As announced in September on NBC’S TODAY, Rogers will embark on his final world tour in 2016 prior to his retirement from touring.

Meanwhile, Home Free wrapped up their 47-date fall tour on Sunday (11/15) and is now prepping for the kickoff of the HOME FREE FOR THE HOLIDAYS Tour December 1 in Duluth, MN. The 17-city nationwide trek will feature fan favorites and holiday jingles. Celebrating the New Year, the band will make their European debut in January with an appearance at the star-studded annual LONDON A CAPPELLA FESTIVAL and just-announced dates in Birmingham, England; St. Andrews, Scotland and Dublin, Ireland.

KENNY ROGERS TO RELEASE FIRST NEW CHRISTMAS ALBUM IN SEVENTEEN YEARS

Once Again It's Christmas Out This Fall
On Warner Music Nashville / Warner Bros.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (July 13, 2015) – While summer is only a few weeks old in the northern hemisphere, it’s important to remember that there are only 165 shopping days left until Christmas!

Country Music Hall of Fame member and one of the best-selling music artists of all time, Kenny Rogers, will be releasing his first new Christmas album in seventeen years via Warner Music Nashville / Warner Bros. this fall. Titled Once Again It’s Christmas, the festive set will be Rogers’ first Christmas release since 1998’s Christmas From The Heart and his sixth Christmas release overall.

Several special guest stars join Rogers on Once Again It’s Christmas, including Alison Krauss, Jennifer Nettles, Home Free, Jim Brickman, and Winfield’s Locket.

“I can’t tell you how much fun it was recording a Christmas record again,” Rogers said. “I’m excited for people to hear it. I feel like this is a special group of songs — both old and new — and I was particularly lucky to be joined by many talented guest artists and musicians who each have something unique to say.”

Since the release of his first ever Christmas album, Christmas, in 1981, Rogers has embarked on an annual Christmas & Hits Tour, which continues this winter for the thirty-fourth straight year. It’s a holiday that holds special meaning for Rogers.

“Christmas is my favorite time of year. It’s a very important season for me, especially now that I have twin boys who just turned 11 years old. It’s reminded me of how you see it through different eyes when you’re a parent. It’s wonderful,” Rogers said.

Rogers’ Once Again It’s Christmas Tour featuring Linda Davis will include performances of holiday favorites and his No. 1 hits through concerts across the U.S. and Canada. The final schedule of dates will be announced soon.

The past several years have been some of the most active and rewarding of Rogers’ entire career. In 2013, he was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame and received the Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award at the 47th Annual CMA Awards. To date, Rogers has sold more than 120 million albums worldwide. He has charted a record within each of the last seven decades. The first country artist to consistently sell out arenas, Rogers quickly became a pop superstar as well — his 28 Billboard Adult Contemporary Top 10's rank him fourth-best of all time among men, trailing only Elton John, Neil Diamond, and Elvis Presley. Rogers has recorded 12 No. 1 albums and 24 No. 1 hits and is the RIAA’s eighth best-selling male solo artist of all time. He has received three GRAMMY Awards, 11 People's Choice Awards, 19 American Music Awards, eight Academy of Country Music awards and six Country Music Association awards.

KENNY ROGERS ANNOUNCES FAREWELL DOWN UNDER TOUR

ROGERS TO PERFORM IN AUSTRALIA & NEW ZEALAND
FOR THE LAST TIME EVER IN JANUARY & FEBRUARY 2015

PRESS RELEASE

Nashville, Tenn. (November 11, 2014) – GRAMMY Award-winning country superstar and contemporary music icon, Kenny Rogers, will return Down Under in January and February for his Farewell Down Under Tour, which will include his final concerts in Australia and New Zealand ever.

The tour will begin in Sydney on January 23, 2015; followed by shows across the country in Tamworth, Newcastle, Melbourne, Launceston, Gold Coast, Townsville, Perth and Adelaide; then a concert in Christchurch, New Zealand before concluding the tour in Hamilton, New Zealand, on February 15, 2015.

While the concerts scheduled in January and February 2015 will be Rogers’ final performances in Australia and New Zealand, the legendary vocalist will continue to tour in other parts of the world.

Rogers has toured Australia and New Zealand numerous times — including his first visit as a member of the First Edition in 1973 (Rolling Through New Zealand Tour); with Dolly Parton in 1984 and 1987; with Reba McEntire in 1998; and more recent solo tours in 2008, 2011 and 2012.

"For all of the traveling I've done around the world, Australia and New Zealand remain two of my favorite places to perform,” Rogers said. "When I was with the First Edition, we made this same trip several times, and no matter how many times I've gone, I've always loved the audiences Down Under. They have a great sense of humor, and they've always treated me with such great respect, so for that, I say thank you.”

Since his sold out 2012 visit to Australia and New Zealand, Kenny has been honored with an induction into the American Country Music Hall of Fame and the Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award – his sixth Country Music Association Award. Previous prestigious accolades include three Grammy Awards, eighteen American Music Awards, eight Academy of Country Music Awards and sales of more than 120 million - one Diamond, twenty Platinum and thirty two Gold albums, making him one of the Top Ten Best Selling Male Artists of All Time, according to the RIAA.

Rogers’ music has always crossed boundaries and the hit maker is still making monumental cross-over appearances at some of the world’s most prestigious festivals up to this day. In 2013, Rogers made his first appearance at the largest outdoor arts spectacle, the Glastonbury Festival, playing to over 130,000 enthusiastic fans, and at Morocco’s world music, Festival Timitar. In 2012, the country legend was welcomed with open arms at Bonnaroo, where he performed his own set with surprise special guest Lionel Richie and later joined Phish on-stage as a surprise guest himself for a rousing version of The Gambler.

In addition, Rogers has earned a GRAMMY Award nomination and CMA Award nomination this year, along with longtime friend and collaborator Dolly Parton, for their new duet, “You Can’t Make Old Friends,” which is the title track of Rogers’ current critically acclaimed 32nd studio album released by Warner Bros. in 2013. The magical Kenny & Dolly reunion was only the third time in the studio together since their Real Love hit in 1985.

Rogers is an enduring artist with a distinctive voice, gift for storytelling and universal appeal. He has consistently sold out venues where he performs from a chart-topping catalogue spanning seven decades and including multiple hits such as The Gambler; Lucille; Coward of the County; Ruby Don’t Take Your Love To Town; Reuben James; Lady; Islands in the Stream; She Believes In Me; We've Got Tonight; Daytime Friends; Sweet Music Man; Through The Years; You Decorated My Life; Buy Me A Rose; I Can’t Unlove You; and many more.

As an actor, Kenny starred as Brady Hawkes in The Gambler - five films which became the longest running mini-series franchise on American television and another movie inspired by his hit, Coward of the County.

His autobiography, Luck Or Something Like It - A Memoir, was a New York Times Best Seller in 2012 and continues to receive stellar reviews. Rogers has also produced several books of photography and received an Honorary Masters of Photography from the Professional Photographers of America earlier this year.

Don’t miss your last chance to see the legendary Kenny Rogers in Australia and New Zealand on his Farewell Down Under Tour in Australia and New Zealand, where he will be joined by some of the brightest local stars.

WAY BACK WHEN WEDNESDAY - "THE GREATEST" - KENNY ROGERS

Way Back Wednesday has arrived for us again and it has brought the fall chill with it. We’re not going too far back today, just to the tail end of the 90’s but for a song that is timeless. The one, the only, the man with more sage gambling advice than Amarillo Slims, Kenny Rogers with “The Greatest.” Growing up, this song struck me as odd. I sat down and listened/watched it one day, happened to catch it on CMT. As an avid Kenny Rogers fan, I enjoyed it and thought that was an interesting way of looking at things. At the time, I didn’t really notice the significance of what Rogers and Schlitz were trying to pass onto us here. Today, we should take a minute to listen to not only this song, but the message behind it. I want to be good at this, so I’m going to give it my all and spend hours upon hours for who knows how long in dedication of this. Whenever I feel defeated, I’m going to look at the other side, the side that tells me that I am great at this. I’m not defeated, I’m just excellent in an entirely different way than I had previously thought. This song was written by the brilliant Don Schlitz (Who on the off-chance he reads this should totally bring back “Don for a Dollar” nights on Stageit!) and it’s always something we should strive to remember throughout life. I’m confident in what I’m doing and regardless of how I struggle, I refuse to give up. Within these struggles I’m going to find a different strength, or an idea that will get me through this. If I can’t approach it this way, I will approach it this way.

“I am the greatest, that is a fact,

But even I didn't know I could pitch like that!"

Says, "I am the greatest, that is understood,

But even I didn't know I could pitch that good!”

KENNY ROGERS JOINS DAN RATHER ON AXS TV'S 'THE BIG INTERVIEW,' TUES., SEPT. 24

PRESS RELEASE

LOS ANGELES, CA (September 18, 2014) – Country Music Hall of Famer, multi-award-winning songwriter/singer, consummate entertainer and acclaimed actor Kenny Rogers sits down with veteran newsman Dan Rather for an in depth interview where he discusses his legendary five-plus decade career on AXS TV’s THE BIG INTERVIEW, Tuesday, September 24 at 8pE/5pP.

In the hour-long interview, filmed on stage at Nashville’s Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum to commemorate the opening of the career-spanning exhibit, Kenny Rogers: Through The Years, Rather questions Rogers about his start in the music industry as a jazz musician and chronicles his path from that auspicious start to becoming a country music icon. Throughout the interview, Rogers provides heartfelt answers about his humble beginnings, his love for a good story in a song and fondly recalls his mother’s pearls of wisdom that he still follows today.

Rather covers all major aspects of Rogers career from his early days as a singer/bass player with his high school doo-wop quartet the Scholars, the jazz trio the Bobby Doyle Three, folk rock group the New Christy Minstrels and country/rock band the First Edition to what led him to start his solo career. Additionally, the two Houston natives talk at length about the history behind the GRAMMY® Award-winning Song of the Year “The Gambler” and his success performing duets with established artists such as Lionel Ritchie and Dolly Parton.

Truly one of the most influential country music artists of all time, Rogers is still performing nearly 100 shows a year in front of live audiences worldwide, packing stadiums and venues with fans that have enjoyed his music for decades. Rogers accolades include charting a record in each of the past seven decades, recording 24 No. 1 hits and 12 No. 1 albums, and being one of the highest selling artists ever, with over 120 million albums sold worldwide (one Diamond album, 19 Platinum albums, and 31 Gold albums).  A trailblazing artist, Rogers was the first country artist to consistently sell out arenas and quickly became a pop superstar as well – his 28 Billboard Adult Contemporary Top 10's is fourth-best all time among men, trailing only Elton John, Neil Diamond, and Elvis Presley.

Rogers has received hundreds of awards for his music and charity work, including three GRAMMY® Awards, 11 People's Choice Awards, 18 American Music Awards, eight Academy of Country Music awards and six Country Music Association awards.  His current critically acclaimed album, You Can’t Make Old Friends (released on Warner Bros. in 2013), became his 22nd Top 10 Country Album.  The title track duet with Dolly Parton has earned GRAMMY® Award and CMA Award nominations. Rogers was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame and also received the CMA Lifetime Achievement Award in 2013.

Program Presented in Conjunction with August 15 Opening of the Museum's Exhibition
'Kenny Rogers: Through the Years'

PRESS RELEASE

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (July 24, 2014) – Multi-talented legend Kenny Rogers will participate in a special interview at the Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum on Saturday, August 16. The expert-led conversation will take place in conjunction with the debut of Kenny Rogers: Through the Years, a biographical exhibit in the museum’s East Gallery opening August 15, 2014, and running until June 14, 2015.

Rogers will recount memories from throughout his history-making life and career during the interview, which will be held in the museum’s CMA Theater at 2:30 p.m. Archival photographs and video will supplement the storytelling. The event is included with museum admission on August 16 and is free for museum members; seating is limited and a program pass is required. Those unable to attend in person are invited to listen and watch live online via countrymusichalloffame.org/streaming.

Other Kenny Rogers: Through the Years opening weekend programs include a Songwriter Session with Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame member Don Schlitz, who penned Rogers’s signature story song “The Gambler,” along with other beloved hits, on August 16; and a film screening of 2001’s Kenny Rogers: Live by Request on August 17. A detailed schedule of grand opening activities is below.

A companion book also entitled Kenny Rogers: Through the Years will accompany the exhibit. Published by the museum’s Country Music Foundation Press, the collectible tome includes a trove of photos—many of which were previously unpublished—from throughout Rogers’s long career. Featuring a foreward composed by Dolly Parton and additional insight into Rogers’s importance from key figures, the image-rich volume expands on the exhibit story. Kenny Rogers Through the Years will be available in the Museum Store and at countrymusichalloffame.org.

“Kenny Rogers redefined and elevated country music superstardom in every sense,” said Museum Director Kyle Young. “He blurred traditional genre lines and substantially expanded the core demographics of country music’s audience, all by being true to his unique artistic vision. His versatility is astounding. We could not be more thrilled to share this detailed presentation of his story.”

Rogers has sold more than 100 million records worldwide. What’s more, he has charted a single in each of the last seven decades—including 21 Billboard #1 country hits. From the enduring wisdom of "The Gambler" and the forlorn tales of "Lucille" and "Ruby (Don’t Take Your Love to Town)," to the success of his collaborations with Dottie West, Dolly Parton and others, Rogers took hallmarks of country music, such as rich storytelling and iconic duets, and made them larger than life—and very much his own. That’s just skimming the surface of his musical contributions alone. In the 1980s, he starred in the five-part Gambler series that attracted more than 100 million television viewers. In addition to his achievements as vocalist and actor, his accomplishments as musician, photographer, author, Off-Broadway star, entrepreneur, and humanitarian round out his résumé.

PRESS RELEASE

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (April 24, 2014) – With driving artistic instinct, a trademark husky voice made for storytelling, polished showmanship and effortless charisma, Kenny Rogers conquered radio, television and film en route to becoming a beloved American icon. The Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum will pay tribute to Rogers with the cameo exhibition Kenny Rogers: Through the Years, which opens in the museum’s East Gallery on August 15, 2014, and runs through June 14, 2015.

According to the RIAA, he has one diamond album, 19 platinum albums, and 31 gold albums. He has earned three Grammys, six Country Music Association awards (including a 2013 Lifetime Achievement Award), eight Academy of Country Music awards—including Entertainer of the Year in 1978—and was elected to the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2013.

From the enduring wisdom of "The Gambler" and the forlorn tales of "Lucille" and "Ruby (Don’t Take Your Love to Town)," to the success of his collaborations with Dottie West, Dolly Parton and others, Rogers took hallmarks of classic country music, such as rich storytelling and iconic duets, and made them larger than life—and very much his own.

Born in Houston, Kenny Rogers formed his first band—an R&B and doo-wop harmony outfit called the Scholars—while in high school, in 1956. After solo work and performing as a bassist and singer with a jazz trio led by Bobby Doyle, Rogers joined folk group the New Christy Minstrels. A year later, he and bandmates Mike Settle, Terry Williams, and Thelma Camacho departed to form the First Edition, soon adding drummer Mickey Jones. Their recording of Mickey Newbury’s psychedelic “Just Dropped In (To See What Condition My Condition Was In)” hit #5 on the Billboard Hot 100, and after a rebranding as Kenny Rogers and the First Edition, the group lit up pop and country charts with the gut-wrenching “Ruby (Don’t Take Your Love to Town),” written by future Country Music Hall of Fame member Mel Tillis.

By the mid-’70s, members of the First Edition decided to embark upon solo careers. After modest success, Rogers struck country gold with another heartbreaking single, “Lucille,” from his self-titled album. The 1977 Grammy-winning song topped the country charts, reached the Top Five on the pop charts, and was named the CMA Single of the Year. “Lucille” was followed in quick succession by the hits “Daytime Friends,” “Sweet Music Man” and “Love or Something Like It.”

Rogers’ next album, named for a song about a card-playing drifter with advice for a weary traveler, hit the shelves in 1978. “The Gambler,” written by then-unknown songwriter Don Schlitz, became Rogers’ career song and inspired five TV movies starring Rogers as Brady Hawkes, “The Gambler.” In 1979, the song helped Rogers clinch the Best Male Country Vocal Performance Grammy and CMA honors for Album of the Year (The Gambler) and Male Vocalist of the Year. Rogers’ run of chart smashes continued with “She Believes in Me” (1979), “Coward of the County” (1979), and the Lionel Richie-penned ballad “Lady” (1980).

Known almost as well for his duets as for his solo recordings, Rogers continued to top the charts in the 1970s and ’80s with his collaborations. He recorded a string of hits with frequent partner Dottie West, including “Every Time Two Fools Collide” (1978), “All I Ever Need Is You” (1979), and “What Are We Doin’ in Love” (1981). The pair won Vocal Duo of the Year at the 1978 and 1979 CMA Awards. In 1983, he partnered with Dolly Parton for one of the most popular duets in music history: “Islands in the Stream” earned them ACM Single and Top Vocal Duo awards that year. In 1985, Rogers sang on the landmark USA for Africa recording, “We Are the World,” and in 1987, following another string of hits, Rogers teamed with Ronnie Milsap for a Grammy-winning performance on “Make No Mistake, She’s Mine,” which topped the country chart.

After forming his own company, Dreamcatcher Entertainment, in the late 1990s, Rogers returned to the country charts on Dreamcatcher Records with “The Greatest,” another Schlitz-penned tune. The follow-up, “Buy Me a Rose,” climbed to #1 in 2000. As decisive proof of his enduring significance in the 21st century, Rogers released the critically acclaimed Water & Bridges in 2006. In 2011, his first gospel album, The Love of God, became his 21st Top Ten country album. His memoir, Luck or Something Like It (2012), made the New York Times Best Seller list.

Rogers was elected to the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2013 and received the CMA Lifetime Achievement Award the same year, but he shows no signs of slowing down. In 2013, he released his latest album, You Can’t Make Old Friends, and the title cut, a duet with Parton, earned the pair their third Grammy nomination. Rogers is currently performing on his Through the Years World Tour, which has included performances at such popular festivals as Bonnaroo, Stagecoach and Britain’s Glastonbury Festival.

Kenny Rogers: Through the Years will be accompanied by an ongoing series of programs throughout the exhibit’s duration.

KENNY ROGERS & DOLLY PARTON NOMINATED FOR THE THIRD TIME TOGETHER AT THIS YEAR'S GRAMMY AWARDS

"You Can't Make Old Friends" Nominated For Best Country Duo/Group Performance

NASHVILLE, Tenn (December 9, 2013) – Is the third time a charm for Kenny Rogers & Dolly Parton? Kenny & Dolly received their third joint Grammy nomination on Friday night, December 6th for “You Can't Make Old Friends” for Best Country Duo/Group Performance. The song is featured on Rogers’ latest Warner Bros. album of the same name.

Kenny Rogers, the newest member of the Country Music Hall of Fame, and recent recipient of the Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award at this year’s CMA Awards had this to say about the nomination: “I'm excited and very flattered about this opportunity and am convinced I should work with Dolly more often if we're getting these kinds of results,” remarked Rogers.

Country Music Hall of Fame member Dolly Parton added, "I was so excited and proud to hear that the Grammys have nominated Kenny and I for Best Country Duo/Group Performance on ‘You Can't Make Old Friends.’ I am also very proud to hear that ‘Jolene’ made the Grammy's Hall of Fame. Thank you everyone!"

KENNY ROGERS AND DOLLY PARTON'S "YOU CAN'T MAKE OLD FRIENDS" SENTIMENT IS UNDERSTOOD IN ANY LANGUAGE

One of our favorite songs of 2013 is the song, "You Can't Make Old Friends" by two of country music's best artists with a life long "old friendship", Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton. This song is so much more than a great video and a thoughtful message, it's truth that is understood in any language, including this wonderful rendition in Auslan (sign language). Old friends are the best treasures a heart can have.

KENNY ROGERS LANDS HIS 22ND TOP 10 COUNTRY ALBUM

NEW CRITICALLY ACCLAIMED ALBUM "YOU CAN'T MAKE OLD FRIENDS"
DEBUTS AT #9 ON THE BILLBOARD COUNTRY CHART

Will Be Inducted Into The Country Music Hall Of Fame On October 27th

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – (October 16, 2013) – Legendary music icon Kenny Rogers has just landed his 22nd Top 10 Country album with the Billboard debut of You Can't Make Old Friends at #9 via Warner Bros. Records.

The album reunites the multiple Grammy Award-winner with long-time friend and collaborator, Dolly Parton, for a brand new duet on the title track, “You Can’t Make Old Friends,” and accompanying music video. The bold 11-track recording, highlighted by Rogers’ fresh takes on a diverse array of musical styles including country, soul, folk, rock and even zydeco, is receiving widespread critical acclaim.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel observes “his voice is still an instrument to be reckoned with” and the Associated Press calls You Can’t Make Old Friends “an album that blends the familiar with the challenging, seeking new hits and pursuing new ideas even as he enters the Country Music Hall of Fame this fall.” In a glowing review, Country Weekly notes “you have to give Kenny a ton of credit for being willing to spread his wings in new directions—and even more for pulling it off.”

In celebration of the album release, Rogers did a blitz of media appearances that kicked off with an interview and performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on October 2nd. Rogers was also featured on Hallmark Channel’s Home & Family, Extra!,GAC’s Backstory, CBS This Morning, Fox & Friends, Bloomberg TV, Kathie Lee & Hoda on The Today Show, and The Rachael Ray Show.

Rogers can be heard performing several new songs from the album live on SiriusXM’s Artist Confidential airing on Prime Country this weekend. He can also be heard guest hosting the nationally syndicated radio program After Midnite all this week through Sunday, October 20th.

With a collaboration of producers, including Kyle Lehning, Warren Hartman, and Dann Huff, You Can’t Make Old Friends is Rogers’ first country album since the release of Water & Bridges in 2006. Rogers considers this release the most varied and complete album of his lifetime. "I can honestly say this may be the best album I've ever recorded,” said Rogers. “I’m thrilled with how it turned out. I wanted to really stretch my boundaries and do something a little different. There are songs on this record that I would normally sing, and then there are songs I would normally never even listen to. In this business, you do albums to both grow artistically, and for the sheer love of music. We chose what I think are the most diverse and best songs I've ever had access to."

A trailblazing recording artist, vocalist, and entertainer, Rogers has sold more than 120 million records worldwide and recorded more than 65 albums during his illustrious 56 years in show business. Rogers has charted a record within each of the last seven decades and scored a hit single in the past six. He was the first country artist to consistently sell out arenas and quickly became a pop superstar as well – his 28 Billboard Adult Contemporary Top 10's is fourth-best all time among men, trailing only Elton John, Neil Diamond, and Elvis Presley. Rogers has recorded 12 No. 1 albums and 24 No. 1 hits – “The Gambler,” “Lady,” “Lucille,” “Coward Of The County,” and “Islands in the Stream” (with Dolly Parton) among them. His Greatest Hits album has sold over 24 million copies worldwide to date. He is the RIAA’s 8th best-selling male artist of all time with one Diamond album, 19 Platinum albums and 31 Gold albums.

Rogers will be inducted into the Country Music Hall Of Fame later this month on Sunday October 27th.

KENNY ROGERS: NEW ALBUM, NEW DUET WITH DOLLY PARTON

KENNY ROGERS RETURNS WITH YOU CAN’T MAKE OLD FRIENDS
OUT OCTOBER 8TH ON WARNER BROS. RECORDS

ROGERS AND DOLLY PARTON REUNITE FOR TITLE TRACK DUET ON
30TH ANNIVERSARY OF "ISLANDS IN THE STREAM" RELEASE

ROGERS TO BE INDUCTED INTO THE COUNTRY MUSIC HALL OF FAME THIS FALL

NASHVILLE, Tenn., September 3, 2013 – With an astonishing recording career that now spans over seven decades, you would think music legend Kenny Rogers had already accomplished it all. However, you’d be wrong.

Rogers returns with You Can’t Make Old Friends on October 8th via Warner Bros. Records, proving – once again – that he still has plenty to say. The album reunites Rogers with long-time friend and collaborator, Dolly Parton, for a brand new duet on the title track, “You Can’t Make Old Friends.” It was thirty years ago almost to the day when Kenny and Dolly released “Islands In The Stream,” which went on to become an instant classic and one of the most successful singles by a duo in history.

"What a thrill it was for me to work again with my buddy, Dolly Parton, and what a special song,” remarked Rogers. “Working with Dolly is always a little like going home. Everything felt comfortable."

With a collaboration of producers, including Kyle Lehning, Warren Hartman, and Dann Huff, You Can’t Make Old Friends is Rogers’ first country album since the release of Water & Bridges in 2006. Rogers considers this upcoming release the most varied and complete album of his lifetime.

"I can honestly say this may be the best album I've ever recorded,” added Rogers. “The musical diversity is extraordinary. It goes from songs I would normally sing, to songs I would normally never even listen to. In this business, you do albums to both grow artistically, and for the sheer love of music. We chose what I think are the most diverse and best songs I've ever had access to."
