IT'S "ALL OR NOTHING" FOR CASEY JAMES - KICKSTARTER PROJECT CLOSES JULY 1 - LET"S NOT CALL IT A NIGHT ON THIS PROJECT!

Following the critical acclaim and fan response to his first independent studio album "Strip It Down", Casey James returns to Kickstarter to raise funds for his follow-up independent album. The "All or Nothing" campaign ends on July 1.

“Having the fans involved absolutely makes the difference for me in terms of how I make records and what those records accomplish,” said James. “So, it just makes sense to me to come back to Kickstarter and do it again.
James continued, “I'd never experienced anything as amazing as having fans fuel an entire record, but that's EXACTLY what happened with Strip It Down, and it was huge in so many ways for me. It’s such a great feeling to be able to make the music that I want to make and to know that I’m finally connecting the dots between my heart, my music, and my fans. I’ve been getting so much great feedback from everyone in regards to the new material, and I can’t wait to get in the studio and record it.”

Fans aren’t the only ones anxious for new music. Three-time Grammy Award winner Tom Hambridge, who produced Strip It Down, has signed on to produce the next record as well.

After splitting from Sony Music Nashville, James went straight to the source – his fans – to fund his first Independent album. Teaming up with Hambridge was a great start, and at the conclusion of the crowd-funded creative collaboration, James was left with a record that garnered rave reviews from Blues/Rock/Americana media outlets and fans across the world with the Rock Doctor raving that that Strip It Down was “one hell of a delightful surprise!”

Fans who embraced "Strip It Down" will appreciate this next step in James’ evolution as a notable blues composer and performer. The approach for second recording will be very similar to the first. “If 'Strip It Down' was the liner notes to my musical biography, then the next record will read as the first chapter,” James explained.

Certainly, James had an exhilarating debut into the blues society with "Strip It Down", an appropriately titled album given the raw and rooted songs it contained – raucous and danceable album that was truly blues at its core.

His upcoming project rides the same lane, but allows musical breadth for his fans, who are watching James continue to reach as an artist. The new material is more diverse and yet somehow manages to come together and fit into a style that is pure Casey James.

James recently debuted some of his new music in a live, in-studio broadcast that is now up for all to see on YouTube. With title tracks “Come on Saturday Night” and “Here to Please” you don’t want to miss what James is coming out with next!

A LITTLE BACKGROUND ON CASEY:

Anyone who has followed his journey from “American Idol” to Sony Music Nashville will be thrilled to discover the passion that drives the guitar-slinging Texan is dialed to 11. His 2012 self-titled debut won critical raves and yielded Top 15 single “Crying on a Suitcase” – and Top 20 single “Let’s Don’t Call It A Night.” His follow-up, gut-wrenching single “Fall Apart,” powerfully showcased his skills as a producer, intense vocalist, and lead guitarist.

James has had an impressive career spanning from a local musician to playing for an audience of 22 million people weekly during his run on “American Idol.” From touring his hometown to touring the world while playing his own material, he has been consistently growing and evolving as an artist. This latest effort introduced his music to a whole new demographic and was well received worldwide. "The last few years have seen so many of my dreams come true. I'm finally interacting with people that I respect and admire; artists, producers, writers, musicians, and the fans. These are all people that have the same heart for music that I have. It's been an absolute pleasure working alongside artists like Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Delbert McClinton, Tom Hambridge, Lee Roy Parnell" and the list goes on. The point is that after a lifetime of dedication and work, James is finally busting in to the scene that he's always wanted to be a part of. "To drive down the road and hear my song being played on SiriusXM BB King's Bluesville is one of the best feelings I could ask for. Especially when I still feel proud and excited about how it sounds. I’m just thankful to be able to do what I love,” said James in a recent interview with his hometown Fox network television station in Dallas, TX. “I’m thankful to have a dedicated audience that believes in who I am and what I do. I couldn’t ask for more and I’m always excited for what’s next.”

Grammy® winning vocalist, film (Cast Away) and Broadway actress, published author, hit songwriter and history-making record producer, LARI WHITE, is marking 25 years as a recording artist as she prepares to release the double EP, Old Friends, New Loves, this fall. The passion project will lead with a Kickstarter campaign launching June 9 and allow her fans and fellow music lovers to be part of the creative process.

“I’m excited to bring everyone into the studio with me — and Kickstarter lets me do that,” White says. “This will be the first recording I’ve done where the fans ARE the record label. They back the project and I report directly to them on every little detail, giving them control-room access to the whole process.”

Recording at The Holler, White’s landmark recording studio, friends and fellow stars Suzy Bogguss, Lee Roy Parnell and other long-time collaborators from White’s earliest days as a country star will make special guest appearances on the first of two EP projects currently in the works — Old Friends — highlighted by rootsy re-inventions of breakout hits like “Lead Me Not,” “That’s How You Know When You’re In Love” and “That’s My Baby.” The second EP — New Loves — features White’s recently-penned originals and favorite covers, a rich stew of Americana, soul, jazz and country songs, featuring guests Shawn Mullins and bass legend Victor Wooten.

“My fans have followed me the whole way on this crazy 25-year creative journey,” shares White. “We love music and we love storytelling, and we don’t let ourselves be limited by rules about genre or medium or “brand” for God’s sake. The only rule is that it’s honest. And I honestly LOVE country and jazz and soul and movies and literature and photography and any art that moves the human spirit to a good place.”

Lari White’s Kickstarter campaign launches the first day of CMA Music Festival, Thursday, June 9 and runs through July 13 at http://kck.st/1U7K8qM. It allows fans to participate in the creation of Old Friends, New Loves and features a range of unique rewards for contributors. Standouts include a two-night Nashville vacation in White’s West Nashville bungalow with a champagne breakfast prepared by the singer herself. Other notable items include voice lessons with Lari through her new ArtistWorks Country Vocal School and a backstage pizza party at one of her upcoming concerts. Contributors can also get producer credit on the new albums or an intimate acoustic house concert.

“I can hardly believe I’ve been lucky enough to make music my entire life,” says White. “Sharing my music-making process is one way I can say ‘Thank YOU!’ to the fans who have made it possible for an amazing 25 years!”

JOHN BERRY KICKSTARTS NEW ALBUM PROJECT

PRESS RELEASE

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (June 29, 2015) – When John Berry and his wife, Robin, relocated to Nashville last summer, he knew it would spur creative energy. Now, less than a year later, Berry is looking forward to getting back into the studio for the follow-up to his 2011 record, RealMan.RealLife.RealGod.

“Robin and I were given the chance to move to Nashville last summer and it has been awesome! I have been renewed musically and taken advantage of every opportunity I could to submerse myself into the writing world,” Berry said. “I cannot recall spending this much time writing since I last wrote Standing On The Edge Of Goodbye in 1995. I have truly enjoyed this resurgence of creativity.”

Berry’s untitled project will be a two-disc set. The first disc will feature 10 brand new country songs that he says are “absolute John Berry.” The second disc in the set comprises five inspirational and Christmas songs.

To secure funding for his new album, the independent recording artist knew exactly where they would go. For his previous album, Berry relied on fans through the crowdsourcing site Kickstarter. He’s hoping to recapture that success for his upcoming album. For the upcoming project Berry is looking to raise $50,000 in 40 days.

"With our last Kickstarter campaign, we exceeded our goal and I believe we’ll do it again with this project,” Berry said. “Any monies raised above and beyond the $50,000 will be put towards some great marketing and promotion.”

Berry is excited to get back into the studio and get work. “I have been preparing for this new recording for two years. It's time to get started! Once the process begins, it will move quickly,” Berry said.

JO DEE MESSINA's FANS CHOOSE NEXT SINGLE “PEACE SIGN”

OVER 220,000 IMPRESSIONS IN JUST 10 DAYS
AVAILABLE TO RADIO THIS FRIDAY, AUGUST 23

Jo Dee Messina's recent success in fans backing her new album via Kickstarter continues to evolve her relationship with listeners.

The multi-platinum, award-winning country singer/songwriter has engaged fans by giving them a voice on her next album—literally. In addition to some Kickstarter contributors appearing on the album as backup vocalists, Messina messaged fans, asking them to vote on which song they would like to be the album’s first single. In just 10 days she received over 220,000 impressions and the fans have spoken. It was a close call between “Peace Sign” and “Woman’s Rant,” but winning the vote for her first radio single is “Peace Sign.” A signature Messina song, the new single grabs fans with the upbeat, country-rock fun she’s known for. “Peace Sign” will be available to radio programmers this Friday, August 23.

“This song is a blast,” shares Jo Dee. “The first weekend we carried the ‘Peace Sign’ T-shirts, we sold out in two shows. It's definitely a fan favorite.”

“Peace Sign” is the first radio single off Jo Dee's forthcoming full-length album. The song was written by Amy Dalley, Scott Ledger and Tyler Hayes and is produced by Jo Dee herself.

For the first time in her successful music career, Jo Dee is free to make the record she wants, and more importantly, the record her fans have been waiting for. Over the course of 30 days, fans--known as “Team JDM”--rallied behind the country music sensation and showed their support through pledges, shares and kind words. Her backers helped her reach and exceed her Kickstarter goal of $100,000.

Upon reaching the goal, an excited Messina noted that the project has become more than backing an album; it’s a testament to the limitless possibilities of artist and fan collaboration.

“The people are the ones that make music possible,” Jo Dee explains. “They are the ones that come to the shows, request the songs, and get the records. When I first started the campaign, many folks didn't get it. The ones that took the time to learn about it got that this project is something we are all doing together. Once again the fans have shown their love and loyalty. I am truly grateful.”

More news on the album release will be unveiled soon.
