HANK WILLIAMS JR 4-CD BOX SET AVAILABLE AT WALMART

Since he made his Billboard chart debut in 1964, Hank Williams, Jr. has amassed one of the most prolific catalogs in the history of the music business. On October 21st, Curb Records will celebrate that legacy with the release of Hank Williams, Jr: A Country Boy Can Survive, a four-disc box set that stands as one of the most comprehensive Williams sets ever released.

The four disc box set is available now at Walmart: http://flyt.it/HankJr

Focusing on his superstar era that kicked off with 1979’s “Family Tradition,” twenty-nine of his thirty Billboard Top-40 Country hits from 1979-1990 are featured on the collection, which also includes nine of his ten number one hits (including his first 1970’s “All For The Love Of Sunshine,” with The Mike Curb Congregation.) The set also contains fan-favorite album cuts, such as ‘”Outlaw Women,” “Dinosaur,” “The Blues Man” and concert favorite “My Name Is Bocephus,” which originally appeared on his million-selling 1986 set Montana CafĂ©. The fourth disc of A Country Boy Can Survive focuses on Williams’ legendary live show, including performances of such classics as “I’m For Love” and “If Heaven Ain’t A Lot Like Dixie,” as well as the iconic title cut – which will celebrate its’ thirty-fifth anniversary in 2017.

Williams’ run with Curb remains one of the most successful recording affiliations in Country Music history. Beginning with 1977’s One Night Stands, the singer charted thirty-seven albums with the label, selling well over seventy million albums worldwide, with fifteen of his albums being certified Gold and eight Platinum. In 1982, the singer earned the distinction of becoming the only artist to simultaneously have nine albums on the Billboard Country Albums chart at one time. He was also one of the most-awarded artists of his time, winning a trio of Entertainer of the Year trophies from the ACM, as well as back-to-back honors from the CMA in 1987 and 1988. His collaboration with his late father, “There’s A Tear In My Beer,” (included on the set) won a Grammy, as well as several other honors in 1989 and 1990.

The release comes as “Bocephus” continues to experience a career resurgence. His latest Nash Icon album, It’s About Time, opened up on the Billboard Country Albums chart at No. 2 – his highest peak on that chart 1990’s Lone Wolf. The album features “Are You Ready For The Country,” a cover of the Neil Young classic with Eric Church that brought Williams his highest singles chart position since 2009. He has also played to sold-out show after another this year – both by himself, as well as with critically-acclaimed singer-songwriter Chris Stapleton.

AARON LEWIS' NEW ALBUM SINNER DEBUTS AT #1 ON iTUNES ALBUMS CHARTS

American Songwriter Premieres "That Ain't Country" Video

Serves Up Budweiser One Night Only Concert Series in NYC on November 15

Cover Art Courtesy of Dot Records

Aaron Lewis delivers the “authentically country” (Wide Open Country) SINNER today on Dot Records, marking his third solo project in the genre. Already summiting the iTunes All Genre and Country Albums charts this morning, the entire album was recorded in 16 hours at Nashville’s Blackbird Studios under the helm of legendary producer Buddy Cannon (George Strait, Merle Haggard, George Jones). Lewis single-handedly penned eight of the 12 tracks, including “That Ain’t Country,” which he performed on FOX & Friends yesterday (9/15). The lead single serves as a commentary on the current state of “country, if you can call it that,” as Lewis pines for the sound of his honky-tonk heroes.

“I have certainly not kept my feelings a secret about some of the stuff that is popular today,” expressed Lewis. “Sometimes it is hard for me to even recognize Country music and that is why it was very important to me to go back to my roots and record a more traditional album. This is the type of music I grew up listening to and I to make sure that my influences like Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard and Waylon Jennings are reflected in my record.”

Filmed at the iconic Ernest Tubb Record Shop in Nashville, American Songwriter exclusively premiered the Jim Wright-directed music video. Watch “That Ain’t Country” now.

Beginning October 24, legions of fans can see Lewis’ live show throughout his SINNER TOUR and as he joins the Budweiser One Night Only concert series at the Beacon Theatre on November 15 for MSG Live, in association with Big Machine Label Group and Cumulus Media. Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Saturday, September 17 at 10:00AM. The Budweiser One Night Only concert series is a joint initiative between The Madison Square Garden Company and the brewer, as part of the long-standing partnership between the two organizations.

As Lewis continues to build his strong fan base early praise fuels his Country music pedigree. Gayle Thompson from The Boot raves, “Aaron Lewis shows a surprising understanding and respect for country music with his latest album, SINNER. Drawing from his childhood influences of listening to country music in his grandfather's car, Sinner shows Aaron's abilities as a singer, songwriter, musician and stylist. With guest appearances from Vince Gill, Alison Krauss, Willie Nelson and Dan Tyminski, SINNER might just be the record that propels Aaron to a permanent place in country music.” Maverick Magazine’s Eric Dahl concurs, “Aaron Lewis brings a raw honesty to his songs on the new album SINNER that Country Music radio hasn’t heard in a long time. The imagery of the lyrics sucks you in, but his mournful voice and guitar keep you!”

COLLIN RAYE CELEBRATING 25 YEARS OF HITS ON U.S. TOUR

25 years after Collin Raye shot to fame with the timeless No. 1 hit “Love, Me,” the country sensation is still considered one of the hardest working acts in the business, with a heavy multi-state touring schedule, including a Mexican Riviera Cruise, remaining in latter part of 2016. Raye is bringing his exciting and uplifting live show across the U.S. to celebrate a quarter-century of success in the industry.

Further proving his staying-power and impact on the genre, Collin Raye was recently named to the list of Billboard’s ‘Greatest of All-Time Country Artists.’ Considered one of the greatest voices of our time, his aforementioned hit “Love, Me” was also named No. 68 on Billboard’s ‘Greatest of All-Time Country Songs.’

On The Big 25 Tour, the energizing showman performs vivid rockers like “My Kind Of Girl,” “I Can Still Feel You,” “That’s My Story” and “Little Red Rodeo.” Fans can also look forward to hearing his smooth tenor on iconic ballads like “In This Life,” “One Boy, One Girl” and many more.

Raye has built a career on songs with an emotional connection to listeners that other acts of the era can only dream of. In 1994, the music video for the poignant hit “Little Rock” led to more than 100,000 calls to Alcoholics Anonymous from people seeking help for their addictions. The song and video for “I Think About You” exposed the exploitation of women and children, earning Raye the award for “Video of the Year” from the Academy of Country Music in 1997.

In addition to impacting lives with his issue-oriented music, Raye has utilized his stardom to advance social causes through his tireless charity work. He has supported organizations like Special Olympics, Parade of Pennies, Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt and The Tennessee Task Force Against Domestic Violence, as well as founding the Haley Bell Blessed Chair Foundation to honor the memory of his granddaughter.

Fans are anxiously awaiting Raye’s soon-to-be released “Silver Anniversary Album” to commemorate his 25 years in country music, featuring new recordings of his greatest hits. Most recent projects for the ten-time Male Vocalist of the Year nominee include a tribute to Glenn Campbell, Still On The Line, an inspirational album, His Love Remains, and his first autobiography A Voice Undefeated. CHARLIE DANIELS' NEW ALBUM "NIGHT HAWK" TAKES FLIGHT ON AUGUST 26

2016 Inductee to The Country Music Hall of Fame Shows No Signs of Slowing Down Amidst Induction, Museum Exhibit and 80th Birthday Celebrations

Charlie Daniels has never fit into any certain label, purposely creating a sound and blend of music all his own. The new album, Night Hawk, stays true to that tradition with Daniels putting a unique spin on cowboy songs both well known and uncovered from through the years. The album will be available on August 26 at www.CharlieDaniels.com, FYE, and wherever music is sold.

Night Hawk will be available for presale on August 15 here where the first 100 autographed copies sold will also be hand numbered by Charlie Daniels himself.

"Most of our concepts about cowboys, and all things western, are mostly derived from movies and TV. Well, the truth of the matter is, the real cowboys are not glow in the dark characters who go around fighting rustlers and cleaning out saloons with their fists. The actual working cowboy is a hard working, different breed who spend endless hours in the saddle and as Louis L’Amour said, they ‘ride for the brand.’ Night Hawk is a tribute to the working cowboy and his way of life,” said Charlie Daniels.

Night Hawk is a reflection of stories from the trail told by cowboys around the campfire through the years. Many of the songs, introduced in an acoustic style, are obscure songs with deep meaningful lyrics, while some are classics presented in a new way.

NIGHT HAWK TRACK LISTING:

Big Balls In Cowtown
Billy The Kid
Night Hawk
Stay All Night (Stay A Little Longer)
Goodnight Loving Trail
(Ghost) Riders in the Sky: A Cowboy Legend
Running With The Crowd
Old Chisholm Trail
Can’t Beat The Damned Ole Machine
Yippie Ki Yea

The album comes in the midst of one of the most important years of Charlie Daniels’ career. In early 2016 it was announced that he would become the newest inductee to the Country Music Hall of Fame, along with Randy Travis and Fred Foster. The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum curtailed that with the announcement of an exhibit in his honor, called Million Mile Reflections, set to open September 23. Adding to the fun, Kid Rock, Chris Stapleton, Travis Tritt, Larry the Cable Guy and more will join Charlie in celebration at his 80th Birthday Volunteer Jam on November 30 at Bridgestone Arena. “We’re thrilled our artists are getting the recognition they deserve! From Randy Travis to Big & Rich, these acts defined how to entertain and make music for decades to come,” said Webster Public Relations president Kirt Webster.

Billboard’s list includes current and deceased Webster PR clients:

According to Billboard, the Greatest of All-Time Country Albums are based on weekly performance on Top Country Albums (from its Jan. 11, 1964 inception through June 4, 2016). Titles are ranked based on an inverse point system, with weeks at No. 1 earning the greatest value and weeks at lower spots earning the least. Due to changes in chart methodology over the years, eras are weighted differently to account for chart turnover rates over various periods.
