EASTON CORBIN CELEBRATES TEN YEARS OF “A LITTLE MORE COUNTRY THAN THAT” WITH ACOUSTIC RELEASE

In 2010, Easton Corbin took country music by storm with the release of his debut single, “A Little More Country Than That” - which quickly hit the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot Country charts and was the first debut single by any country artist to go No. 1 since Dierks Bentley’s “What Was I Thinking” release in 2003. Now, ten years later, Corbin is paying homage to his musical origins with today’s release of an acoustic version “A Little More Country Than That.” Showcasing his innate talent and “rare, glorious voice” (American Songwriter), the acoustic track brings a fresh, new take on the song that put Corbin on the map

“The feeling of that first number one – there’s nothing like it. It was one of the greatest days of my life,” Corbin told Sounds Like Nashville. “After that, things just kind of took off. I’ve been so fortunate over the past ten years to have the career I do – and the loyalty of fans that continue to show up and listen. I’m so honored that people continue to choose to support me and my music, and I’m excited for them to hear what’s coming.”

“NO FOOLIN’ ME” RELEASED TO RADIO BY AWARD WINNING COUNTRY MUSIC ARTIST, DANI-ELLE KLEHA

Award Winning Country Artist, Dani-Elle Kleha, who recently announced the kick off of her Positive Youth Tour, has released “No Foolin’ Me,” to radio via CDX Nashville.

“I am so excited to be releasing “No Foolin’ Me” to country radio. This has been one of my favorites from the EP and it quickly became a fan favorite which makes me incredibly happy,” shares Dani-elle Kleha. “I think it’s a song we can all relate to at least once in our lives.”

“No Foolin’ Me” is about the realization of dealing with an individual who is sneaky, but you have caught on and not allowing them to manipulate you any longer.

“You have a way just like a snake of fooling people with your smile
You have a way of making me think I’ve had enough of all your lies

Fool me once fool me twice
I can see right through your heart of ice
You’re not the person people think they see
And darling there’s no fooling me anymore …”

The next Positive Youth Tour performances will announce soon. Texas Roadhouse of Wilkes Barre and Ronald McDonald House of Scranton both continue to support the tour as sponsors.

For information on booking the Positive Youth Tour or interest in getting involved as a sponsor, click here.

The 24 year old Country music artist engages schools, youth camps and entities centering around young adults in Lackawanna and Luzerne Counties and beyond. Kleha shares her music along with messages of empowerment and anti-bullying, including her own personal stories of being bullied and how she got through her struggle, following her dreams, and the importance of making responsible decisions in life.

#NOWPLAYING: SONGS YOU SHOULD BE LISTENING TO - FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 20

If you're looking for new artists and you're getting tired of the same old Top 40 repetition on today's country radio, check out these names you may or may not be familiar with. Some songs listed are new, some may have been out for quite awhile, and all are of various styles because one taste doesn't suit all palates. Some may also be veteran artists that you might already love or some of country's most talented songwriters.

I'm simply introducing you to artists you might enjoy and music you might connect with. There's such a wide world of artists and songs out there to broaden your listening base and beyond what radio is telling us is good music. Don't limit yourself to radio when there are so many other outlets where truly good music can be found.

If you find yourself liking any of these artists, please follow them on social media and let them know you enjoy their music. Please be sure to talk about and share any of the songs and artists you like on this list. I'm sure they'd appreciate it! One more thing, if you purchase and download a song, please be sure to leave a review. These help the artists and their teams more than you realize. If you like the song, let them know why you love it. If not, be constructive and honest (not mean) about why you don't like it so much.

SINGLE REVIEW: "WHEN I'M GONE" - CRAIG MORGAN

SINGLE: "When I'm Gone"
ARTIST: Craig Morgan
REVIEWER: Maria Talamo
Follow Maria on Twitter at @Maria_Talamo

Craig Morgan is definitely a one of a kind guy. There is truly no one else out there quite like him. He’s been in the military, became an EMT and was also a sheriff’s deputy, just to name a few things. He is also an incredible outdoorsman and family man. He quoted on his website “music is like a center for all of those things.  It' It's the outlet for me to express everything I am. When I'm riding my dirt bike, you may not know about my music, and when I'm in a military environment, it's not the center point. But my music career allows me to talk about and be a part of all of those other energies in my life. When I'm on stage, I get to express all of it.” Because of this, there isn’t a song of his out there that someone can’t relate to. His most recent single “When I’m Gone” is the perfect song for Morgan. In the song he sings about how he wants to be remembered as the guy who lived live to the fullest. In the chorus he sings about laughing more than crying, staring down all of his fears and living ever moment so that his memory lives on after hes gone. It is truly an amazing song that you won't want to miss!

SINGLE REVIEW: "MIND READER" - DUSTIN LYNCH

SINGLE: "Mind Reader"
ARTIST: Dustin Lynch
REVIEWER: Maria Talamo
Follow Maria on Twitter at @Maria_Talamo

In late 2011, Dustin Lynch signed a record deal with Broken Bow Records. Since then, he has released quite a few singles such as “Cowboys and Angels,” “She Cranks my Tractor,” which became his first top 20 hit, and “Wild in Your Smile.” He released his fourth single “Where It’s At” in early 2014 which went on to become his first number one and really put Lynch on the map. Since then he has released “Hell of a Night,” which became his second consecutive number one and now he's released his newest single “Mind Reader.” The new single shows a bit of Lynch’s R&B side while still maintaining his country sound. It was written by Rhett Akins and Ben Hayslip, two out of the three Peach Pickers. In the first few lines Lynch sings "How'd you know to wear your hair like that/ How'd you know to turn up that song/ How'd you know them little tore up jeans was gonna tear me up and turn me on" and it sets the tone for the rest of the song.

There is no doubt Dustin is going to keep this hot streak going and have this become his third consecutive #1. Listen for “Mind Reader” which was just sent to radio on September 28 and don’t forget to check him out on his head line tour. It's going to be a great show!

TASTE OF COUNTRY PREMIERES NEWCOMER DENNY STRICKLAND'S SIZZLING "HOW FAR YOU WANNA GO" VIDEO TODAY

Taste of Country premieres Country newcomer Denny Strickland's sizzling "How Far You Wanna Go" video today.  Producer/Actress Lindsey Labadie (Where The Red Fern Grows, Removed, Desert Friends) helmed the project and drew on the talents of director Caleb Kuhl (Wu-Tang Clan, Tedashii, Dylan Scott) and Emmy Award-winning Director of Photography Isaac Alongi (National Geographic, BBC, Discovery) to round out the visual feast.

Strickland looks confident crooning seductively from a towering Nashville rooftop, while a pair of comely young actors energetically engage the viewer with their on-the-road adventures throughout.  Sparse Mojave Desert and Lancaster, California scenery focuses the eye on the couple, and brings a sense of quiet urgency to the song's title.  Denny loves the video process he says, "because you're painting a picture for the listener.  I also enjoy editing; digging through eight hours of film to find the perfect 'diamond-in-the-rough' two-and-a-half minutes."  The fast chart-rising single, "How Far You Wanna Go," follows his recent Top 40 MusicRow hit, "Swerve On."

An Arkansas native, Denny made his CMA Music Festival debut this year with booth signings at the AT&T U-verse® Fan Fair X, and performances at various Music City hot spots.  He is currently on a radio promotion tour for the new single, and recent features can be found on the following sites:  Billboard, CMA Close Up, MusicRow and Country Music Matters.

Denny's early career was guided by The Statler Brothers' longtime manager (and Bass player for Johnny Cash), Marshall Grant.  Strickland soon found himself sharing the stage with legends Kris Kristofferson, Rosanne Cash and George Jones.  With Grant's passing in 2011, he took a brief hiatus; regrouping and re-focusing his efforts.  An accomplished guitarist and keyboardist, Denny has firmly thrown his hat back in the ring.  He's touring regularly and rising to national prominence with the success of hit single/video "Swerve On."  A former American Quarter Horse Association World Champion Western Pleasure winner (2007), Strickland enjoys riding for pleasure - on both his beloved horses and in his cherished 1968 Camaro.

SINGLE REVIEW: "SOUTHERN BELLE" - SCOTTY MCCREERY

SINGLE: "Southern Belle"
REVIEWER: Maria Talamo
Follow Maria on Twittter at @Maria_Talamo

Season ten American Idol winner Scotty McCreery is back again and breaking all expectations with his new single “Southern Belle.” It shows an unusual side of Scotty that we haven’t really seen with the song being on the verge of country rock. McCreery has cut five songs so far for his third studio album with “Southern Belle” being the one he has started playing at live shows. The first single from the upcoming album has a lot of energy to it. The pre-chorus “You can go around the block, ‘round the town, ‘round the world, but there’s nothing like a down home girl,” basically stating there’s not a girl in the world that could compare to a southern belle. It was penned by Jason Saenz and Sean McCormick and I guarantee it’ll be a huge hit. Unfortunately the radio release has been pushed back until September but I promise you it’ll be worth the wait.

Jerrod Neimann is back with his impressive new single “Blue Bandana.” It is the first single off of his forthcoming studio album set to be released in 2016.

The Harper, KS native recently said “The first two albums I tried to cover all the music I enjoy. This time, we mashed it all together and that’s what you do when you’re really attempting to create your own sound…” After hearing this song it’s definitely safe to say Neimann has successfully created his own sound. “Blue Bandana” is a song about a free spirited girl with a love of music that has her traveling all over the place to attend music festivals such as Bonaroo, Coachella, Woodstock and Lollapalooza, just to name a few. It leaves the listener wanting more of what’s to come from his new album.

Listen for “Blue Bandana” hitting radio July 27th.

SINGLE REVIEW: "GIRLFRIEND" - BROOKE HOGAN

Brooke Hogan is back and has decided to go country!

Hogan is the daughter of pro wrestler Hulk Hogan and is most commonly known for her reality TV show “Brooke Knows Best” as well as her pop music. Her most recent single “Girlfriend,” although country, still has that pop influence within the up-tempo beat. It’s a song about a girl who has a crush on a guy and is begging him to make her his girlfriend rather than being just friends. The up-tempo beat is accompanied by great vocals from Hogan. I give Brooke so much credit for staying true to herself and following her heart by going country.

"Girlfriend” which was produced by Blake Bollinger and Drew Davis is scheduled to hit radio August 13, 2015 and I highly recommend keeping an ear out for it.

You can purchase "Girlfriend" on iTunes here

SINGLE REVIEW: "I'M COMIN' OVER" - CHRIS YOUNG

SINGLE: "I'm Comin' Over"
ARTIST: Chris Young
REVIEWER: Alyse Smith
Follow Alyse on Twitter at @ASmith1300

Chris Young’s newest single “I’m Comin’ Over” is a break-up not quite broken up song.  Young has previously been done for songs such “Voices” “Aw Naw” “Gettin’ You Home (The Black Dress Song.)  A song wherein he can’t hold in the passion he still feels for his ex-paramour, on the phone to her he discovers they’re both lonely and aching for one another.  Disregarding traffic laws and closure, he tells her “I'm comin' over, runnin' every red light, to hell with the closure - save it for another time.” Young croons about the on-again off-again relationship they can’t seem to escape when they had said good-bye and agreed they were better without one another but alas, he queries “Why put out a fire when it’s still burnin’?”  Young’s baritone growls through the speakers, a lustful serenade we can’t get enough of.  Tangled up in one another, with no chance of being extricated he starts off warbling

“We say “goodbye, see you around"
We turn our backs then turn back around
We break up, we make up, and we make love
We can't seem to let go, girl”

As the story builds, so does the passion in Young’s voice and the guitars in the background.  This newest song of his is sure to steam pouring out of the speakers everywhere it’s played.

The video will make you wanna smoke a cigarette afterwards even if you're a nonsmoker. This is a hot one.

HUNTER HAYES DROPS NEW SINGLE, “21,” GLOBALLY TODAY

Hayes’ latest project available worldwide at Country Radio, the iHeart Radio app and Spotify today, May 21, and will arrive at all other digital retailers on Tuesday, May 26

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (May 21, 2015) – After teasing fans and curious followers with his mysterious social media blackout this week, Hunter Hayes has finally unveiled the significance of it all with the release of his anthemic new single, “21.” Available via Country Radio and on the iHeartRadio app and Spotify today, May 21, Hayes’ latest single will be released to all streaming services and to digital retail on Tuesday, May 26.

“21” is the first taste of new music from Hayes that will be rolling out through streaming and digital platforms in the coming weeks. Produced by Hayes and his co-creator, Dann Huff, “21” simultaneously captures the anticipation of marking the milestone birthday and the nostalgia of its youthful abandon once it’s come and gone. Hayes also shares a co-writing credit on the tune with Dallas Davidson, Kelley Lovelace and Ashley Gorley.

Listen to “21” at http://smarturl.it/hh21

Hayes is currently overseas headlining his sold-out Let’s Be Crazy Tour UK in support of his I Want Crazy UK album release this week and will resume the Wheels Up Tour with Lady Antebellum and Sam Hunt in Wantagh, N.Y. on May 29.

He will also perform “21” on ABC’s The View on Monday, May 25.
