LINDSAY ELL’S DEBUT ALBUM 'THE PROJECT' TO BE RELEASED ON AUGUST 11 / MAKING TODAY SHOW DEBUT AUGUST 8

Rising Star To Perform on NBC’s Today Show August 8

Continuing her red-hot momentum, Country artist Lindsay Ell will release her eagerly-awaited debut album The Project on August 11 via Stoney Creek Records. The 12-song collection is available for pre-order today, 7/14. Click HERE for pre-order.

The Project, produced by celebrated Grammy-winner Kristian Bush (of Sugarland), follows their acclaimed collaboration on Ell’s debut EP Worth The Wait. The album features current single “Waiting On You,” which Rolling Stone Country applauds “is a showcase not only for the Canadian's gifts as a singer but also as a guitarist.” Watch the official music video HERE.

“This new music is the best I’ve ever done,” the multi-instrumentalist shares. I called the album The Project because that’s exactly what this whole process was. I’ve discovered who I am, what I want to say and how I want to say it. I’m so excited to finally have an album that is me, and I can’t wait for fans to hear it.”

The Project is the end result of a soul bearing creative process powered by true-to-life songwriting that inspired Ell to “find her artistic voice” (Billboard). From the funky and spirited “Champagne,” to the resilient and superbly relatable “Wildfire” to crowd-favorite “Criminal,” the album is layered with stand-outs.

Adding to the excitement, following a recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Ell will make her morning TV debut on NBC’s The Today Show on Tuesday, August 8. Tune-in at 10 AM (all time zones) to watch her perform “Waiting On You.”

The Stoney Creek Records artist is currently supporting superstar Brad Paisley on his Weekend Warrior World Tourthroughout the U.S. and Canada. To see all tour dates, click HERE.

SINGLE REVIEW: "SHUT ME UP" - LINDSAY ELL

SINGLE: "Shut Me Up"
ARTIST: Lindsay Ell

Purchase "Shut Me Up" on iTunes

Lindsay Ell’s newest single “Shut Me Up” is a break-up song about a woman scorned by her man. He’s a cheating, duplicitous dog and she saw them under a tree and is off to tell the world. The girl, who’s unaware that his lips are already spoken for, his mama and the preacher are all included in her rooftop roars. There’s no way you can “shut her up” and who would want to?

She has a rocker chick mixed with country vibe going on in this song. It’s definitely a song that screams power in the vocals and the guitar. Not to be confused with the recently released Old Dominion song of the same name, as it’s the polar opposite wherein a guy who can’t stop talking about his girlfriend that he’s so enamored with.

“If you’re going to kiss, I’m going to tell” is a refrain featured here. If he ever worries that the attention here will die down, no need she’ll make sure it won’t. I wonder what the story behind this song is, if there was actually a guy in her life that she’s drawing from to write and sing this. She screams with ebullition at this previous paramour that has betrayed her in such a grievous manner. I rather like it, she’s talented and enjoyable. The lyrics are clever, the song’s entertaining and I want to hear more from her.

THIS WEEK'S MEDIABASE ADDS ... IS RADIO TUNING IN TO YOUR FAVORITE NEW MUSIC?

Congratulations to all of the artists making this week's Mediabase Adds list, with special kudos to Lindsay Ell, Kip Moore and Charlie Worsham who represent the new artists with being the most 3 added NEW ARTISTS this week! Thanks to your requests, radio stations nationwide are paying attention to the new music and it's starting to show by these add numbers. Let's keep that trend going! Remember, an artist's success isn't based on numbers, it's true success is the impact they make on their fans.

REMEMBER: An add does NOT guarantee air play, it simply means the station has added the song to their library. Air play is based on demand and sales, so get on the phone/internet/text and start requesting your favorites now. Most major radio stations now allow you to text or email your requests so it's not just making a phone call anymore. If you don't request, don't complain when you don't hear your favorite artist on the radio, plain and simple. These guys need our help, so let's show them we support them and their hard work. Don't depend on their side to do all the promoting. If you really love an artist, jump in there and work with them to get the word out. Your voice does make a difference and it shows in these add numbers each week. Radio is listening, we just have to keep talking and make sure they hear what YOU the LISTENER are saying.

Just a side note: Notice the number of new artist adds this week. These numbers show that radio is listening to you. Keep requesting and get these artists added nationwide! Way to go!
