Nashville, TN ... (August 17, 2012) ... On stands now, Country Weekly’s August 20 issue features Black River Publishing writer Josh Osborne with Shane McAnally and Sam Hunt as the songwriters of Kenny Chesney’s multi-week number one, “Come Over.”  Certified Gold in just over nine weeks, “Come Over” is the fastest Gold single certification in Chesney’s career and the first number one for Osborne.

In addition to “Come Over,” Josh also co-wrote Chris Young’s current single, "Neon," and the Lost Trailers’ single, "American Beauty."  On August 2, “American Beauty” was featured during a Late Night In London montage celebrating American gymnast and gold medalist Gabby Douglas.  Josh Osborne, Mason Douglas and Matt Jenkins specifically tailored the lyrics for the segment honoring Gabby on Dial Global Sports, the exclusive national radio broadcaster for the London 2012 Olympic Games.

Osborne's songwriting has also made its mark in Hollywood.  Pop star Katy Perry took special notice of "Merry Go 'Round," the debut single from new artist Kacey Musgraves.  She recently raved via a tweet to her 25 million international followers, "I love this song/video by Kacey Musgraves...GREAT chorus."

Country Gold: Exclusive National Radio Olympic Broadcast Uses The Lost Trailers' "American Beauty" as Backdrop for Gabby's Golden Moment

(Nashville, Tennessee...) - Dial Global Sports, the exclusive national radio broadcaster for the London 2012 Olympic Games, went country Thursday night with a stirring montage for new Women's Olympic All-Around Gymnastics Champion Gabby Douglas. With The Lost Trailers' new hit "American Beauty" as the foundation, the montage highlighted Douglas's historic night, and featured not only custom Olympic-themed lyrics and play-by-play highlights of her performance but also Gabby's reaction to bringing home the gold.

"When I heard 'American Beauty' for the first time last month, I knew immediately it would be a great anthem to use somehow during our Olympic coverage," said Dial Global Sports Executive Producer Howard Deneroff. "Stokes and Jason were receptive and gracious enough to cut customized lyrics, and Gabby Douglas gave us the reason to put it all together."

"Jason and I are extremely proud that when Dial Global was looking for music to capture this awesome win for Team USA, that they chose 'American Beauty,'" said Stokes Nielson, who mans the three-time ACM-Nominated act with singer Jason Wyatt.

"We were freaking out, as we listened to the coverage," said Wyatt, "We get super psyched about the Olympics anyway, so to have this connect is just icing on the cake."

MASON DOUGLAS IS GETTING INTIMATE IN NC NEXT WEEK

Mason Douglas is heading back to the great state of North Carolina next week and, in case you didn't see it posted on the website, we thought we'd give you a quick point in the right direction so you know where to find him.

On Thursday, April 19, Mason will be on stage at local favorite, Bistro 150,  in Oak Ridge, NC. The show starts at 7:00 pm...come hungry and ready to sample some incredible food and wine there. The show is free and the venue is very small so reservations are highly recommended.

Saturday, April 21, Mason returns to Bocci Trattoria in Cary, NC at 6:30 pm to toss out tunes with his good friend, Shelby Merchant. This is a no-holds-barred event - these two haven't played together since last year (which is the last time I saw them together), so they're good and ready to try to one-up each other by any means possible. Expect alot of fun from Mason and Shelby while you enjoy the great atmosphere and beautiful weather as well as the fantastic food.

As part of our "Thank a Songwriter Day", we're casting the spotlight over one of the first songwriters to ever really catch our attention, wow about 3 years ago now, Mason Douglas. Mason's upbeat personality, great sense of humor and love of what he does carries over into his music and his confidence is evident in every song he writes and performs. Audiences love him and with good reason, he engages them throughout the show, has them laughing and singing along (most of them very off key I might add.) Oh my God, I never thought I'd see Mason Douglas pulling a Run DMC, but I love it! 3.) Monday, Dec 12 - Christmas4Kids Tour Bus Show!

This event raises money to help less fortunate kids in the middle TN area buy Christmas presents for their family. Check out this interview that Inside Music Row did with one of my favorite people on the planet, singer/songwriter/and friend, Mason Douglas. Mason is an outstanding Nashville based artist. Check out his music at www.masondouglasmusic.com and book him for a house concert. He does these nationwide.

If you're not familiar with house concerts, they're a great way to bring your favorite independent artist to your living room. You provide the artist's lodging and invite your friends to come to your house for an intimate living room concert, charging a small cover charge and have them all bring a potluck style dish for dinner. The money charged for the show will all go to the artist to cover travel expenses. You may also allow the artist to have a tip jar to bring them additional funds. This is a great way to get up close and personal with an artist, get to know them and establish a good relationship while supporting their music.
