Most people don't take the time to find out about a song's writers, much less listen to the original version of a song to see how much the song may have started out before it got to the hands of their favorite artist and played on the radio. Case in point, check out the original version of Kenny Chesney and Grace Potter's "You and Tequila" as performed by one of the original songwriters, Matraca Berg. The other writer is Deana Carter.

COUNTRY REWIND: "I Got It Bad" - Matraca Berg
This is one of my favorite "sassy" songs by Matraca Berg (who wrote "You and Tequila" for Kenny Chesney and Grace Potter). Love her!
