Multi-Platinum hitmakers Eli Young Band will join the 2022 National Memorial Day Parade as an American tradition returns to Washington, D.C. for the first time since prior to the pandemic. Musical band of brothers Mike Eli, James Young, Jon Jones and Chris Thompson will perform “Love Ain’t” on the broadcast and those watching at 7th and Constitution Ave. will also be treated to their latest single “Love Talking” at 1 p.m. ET.

The American Veterans Center (AVC) re-introduced the tradition of a Memorial Day parade along Constitution Avenue in 2005, decades after it had faded away during the Second World War. It has since grown into the largest Memorial Day commemoration in the country, sharing the sacrifices of generations past and present, in front of hundreds of thousands of spectators along the National Mall.

The parade’s television special will be hosted by Anthony Anderson (“Black-ish”) and Joe Buck (ESPN “Monday Night Football”), with veteran and celebrity Robert Irvine, with additional performances by Jimmie Allen and the United States Army Band “Pershing’s Own.” The star-studded line-up of celebrities also includes Renee Elise Goldsberry, Jimmy Kimmel, Joe Mantegna, Chris Pratt, Glen Powell, Gary Sinise and Wilmer Valderama with veteran of the legendary Tuskegee Airman Lt. Col. James Harvey III chosen as the Grand Marshal of the parade.

The National Memorial Day Parade will be nationally syndicated to over 100 million households on ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX and CW stations, airing throughout the month of June. In addition, it will be broadcast to U.S. troops serving around the world and on Navy ships at sea on American Forces Network. For more information, visit NationalMemorialDayParade.com.

EYB will release their full-length album, "Love Talking" (The Valory Music Co.), later in the week and continue a tour of the same name that brings them back to D.C. for a release day concert on Friday, June 3. The trailblazing group has come a long way since their formation in 2000 at the University of North Texas, with a dynamic career thus far producing four chart-topping singles; 3x Platinum “Crazy Girl” and 2x Platinum “Even If It Breaks Your Heart” plus Platinum “Love Ain’t” and “Drunk Last Night.”

"Love Talking" Track Listing:

1.) Love Talking (Mike Eli, Eric Arjes, Jeffrey East)
2.) Lucky For Me (Mike Eli, Jimmy Robbins, Laura Veltz)

LEE BRICE MEMORIAL DAY CELEBRATION TO BENEFIT THE FOLDED FLAG FOUNDATION

National Radio Special Sponsored by O’Charley’s Restaurant + Bar, Coca-Cola and Powered by PickleJar

The Folded Flag Foundation has been announced as the beneficiary of Lee Brice’s Memorial Day Celebration, a national radio special sponsored by O’Charley’s Restaurant + Bar, Coca-Cola, and PickleJar and produced by Gator Michaels Consulting. Listeners across the country can tune in to their local radio stations throughout the holiday weekend and donate directly to The Folded Flag Foundation via PickleJar or by visiting giveforheroes.com. Folded Flag is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and 100% of contributions go directly toward educational scholarships and grants for the families of fallen soldiers.

PickleJar is also giving one lucky fan a trip to see Lee Brice this summer on his “Label Me Proud” tour with special guests Michael Ray, Jackson Dean, Tim Montana and Tyler Farr. Fans will be automatically registered with a donation, but they can also register for free at giveforheroes.com.

“Anyone who knows me and my music knows that I take supporting our veterans and Gold Star families very seriously,” said Lee Brice. “Those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country deserve nothing short of our utmost respect. The mission of Folded Flag is a sacred one for me, and that’s why I’ve become such a vocal champion of their work. This Memorial Day Celebration is going to be a blast for listeners, and I hope they will donate what they can to such a great nonprofit.”

In addition to the Lee Brice Memorial Day Celebration live national radio show, O’Charley’s employees will be wearing t-shirts during Memorial Day weekend featuring PickleJar’s intelligent QR code technology that restaurant patrons can use to access the PickleJar app to participate in the event.

“O’Charley’s support for Folded Flag and its mission is a pillar of our brand. This event is just the latest way we are working to raise money and awareness for these deserving Gold Star families,” said O’Charley’s CEO Craig Barber. “Having Lee Brice involved in such a deep way is absolutely awesome. He’s not just an outstanding musician – he’s a man who sincerely cares about helping others and using his platform to do so. I can’t thank him enough for his involvement.”

“To see the evolution of O’Charley’s support over the years has been incredible,” said Folded Flag President Kim Frank. “O’Charley’s continues to go above and beyond to help us carry out our mission and we consider our partnership with them critical for our success. I can’t wait to tune in to this Celebration to hear some special music and see how much money Lee can help us raise.”

O’Charley’s launched the first ever charity-based virtual restaurant concept last year, the Songwriters CafĂ©, wherein all proceeds went directly to supporting The Folded Flag Foundation.

The groundbreaking concept was the evolution of the Songwriters Cafe virtual benefit concert series, which O’Charley’s launched in 2020 by teaming up with country music stars like Lee Brice and Russell Dickerson to shine a spotlight on Gold Star families and their needs.

Furthering their support for Gold Star family members, this year O’Charley’s also launched a Gold Star hiring campaign focused solely on getting Gold Star family members jobs and securing opportunities for their career success.

“The Lee Brice Memorial Day Celebration intersects PickleJar’s two biggest passions: celebrating artists and mobilizing donations to worthy recipients,” said Jeff James, CEO of PickleJar. “We couldn’t be more grateful for the opportunity to play a role in this inspiring campaign.”

PickleJar is available for IOS and Android smartphones. The intelligent QR code technology is in use at select venues nationwide and fundraising events which allows participants to send monies in support of musicians and charitable events without having to download the app. Most importantly, PickleJar’s TipShare feature means the funds are automatically routed to the intended organization and they receive 100% of the funds.

WES COOK BAND SHOWS THEIR AMERICAN PRIDE WITH "I STAND FOR THE FLAG" VIDEO

You may have caught the music video for Wes Cook Band's patriotic song "I Stand For The Flag" last July when it became a national news story around the Independence Day holiday. The single charted #1 on the iTunes Country sales chart, #2 on the iTunes all genre sales chart, and #24 on the Billboard sales chart for the week ending July 7, 2018. The music video received over 1 million views across the band's social media accounts and led to a publishing deal with Sea the Desert Entertainment. The group released the single to radio in April.

Wes Cook Band has also recently partnered with NASCAR driver Ryan Ellis. "I Stand For The Flag" will serve as inspiration for the #99 car's design for two races this year: Sunday June 16th, at Iowa Speedway, and Saturday, August 24th, at Road America. “As a lifelong NASCAR fan, it is an honor to partner with Ryan and share the message of this song”, explains Wes Cook. Ryan Ellis adds: “I am thrilled to represent not only the Wes Cook Band, but also this song. It’s great to have the support of my new friends, The Wes Cook Band. I know they love America just as much as I do, and I know the NASCAR fans share the same love for this great country!" The Wes Cook Band will also be joined by the Enlisted Nine Fight Company, Nine Line Apparel, Top Cover Hats, and Audio Video Specialists as sponsors of the #99 car for the two events.

VIDEO: MEMORIAL DAY TRIBUTE BY THE OAK RIDGE BOYS

It's hard to find anyone more patriotic and supportive of our troops than Joe Bonsall and the Oak Ridge Boys. They recorded a special tribute for Memorial Day. The song is "Sacrifice ... For Me" which can be found on their Cracker Barrel cd, "It's Only Natural". Just an FYI, both of Joe's parents served our country and we remember them this Memorial Day.
