Benefit Concert Honoring Miami’s Vets & Their Families

Nashville, Tenn. (September 28, 2012) - Country music artist Danielle Peck is part of an impressive line-up of stars performing at “Miami Rocks Our Troops,” a benefit concert and celebration at the BankUnited Center at the University of Miami on September 29, 2012, at 8:00 p.m. Hosted by Grammy winner, Jon Secada, “Miami Rocks Our Troops” will benefit HonorVet.org, an organization dedicated to helping veterans and their families in their lives after service. Backed by an all-star band, the show’s extensive line-up includes Grammy-winning artist Jon Secada, ZZ Top’s Billy Gibbons, multi-Grammy award-winner Jose Feliciano, renowned Puerto Rican duo Angel & Khriz, American Idol Winner Kris Allen, country music star Billy Ray Cyrus, American dance/club music sensation Erika Jayne, Miami native American Idol contestant Sammy Arriaga, Latin sensation Ana Isabelle, Colombian Grammy-winning musician Jorge Villamizar and others.
Currently recording her new album, Peck will debut her upcoming single, “Impossible Dreams,” at the event. Written by Lari White, Chuck Cannon and Mark Portmann, “Impossible Dreams’,” powerful lyrics deliver a message of encouragement for people to overcome challenges and reach for dreams that may seem unattainable.
“I’m so honored and excited to have an opportunity to honor Miami’s vets, and be a part of this diverse musical line up,” commented Peck.
Produced in partnership by HonorVet.org, Unity For Foundation, YME Entertainment and Sunset Pictures, the concert will be honoring and supporting America’s veterans by directly financing crucial resources and services instantly available through HonorVet.org.
This national 501(c)(3) organization was founded by two U.S. Marines, Jesse Canella and Jim McCain, who served together in the Al Anbar Province in Iraq. The charitable purpose of HonorVet.org is to assist American veterans returning from years of wars by helping them to reestablish themselves in civilian life.
