RADIO'S #1 MOST ADDED SINGLE: ERNEST’S “FLOWER SHOPS" BLOOMS WITH 88 FIRST WEEK STATIONS ON BOARD
It’s a sunny day for ERNEST with his brand-new song “Flower Shops (feat. Morgan Wallen)” launching this week as the most added single at Country radio with 88 stations spinning the record now. The Big Loud Records MULTI-PLATINUM artist/songwriter surprise dropped the fan-favorite track on New Year’s Eve, quickly catapulting to #1 at Apple Music Country, Spotify Country, and iTunes overall upon release and now debuting Top 30 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart. The melancholic ode was written by ERNEST with Ben Burgess and Mark Holman and produced by Joey Moi. "I'm so grateful for the fans and Country radio for getting behind this song so early on," says ERNEST. "It isn't every day that a record gets this kind of response and I couldn't be happier that 'Flower Shops' is getting so much love."
ERNEST is currently on the road for Chris Lane’s FILL THEM BOOTS TOUR, which kicked off January 13 in Boston, MA. Bringing “Flowers Shops” to the stage each night, the tour will stop this weekend at The Summit in Denver, CO (1/27), The Complex in Salt Lake City, UT (1/28), and Revolution Concert House in Boise, ID (1/29). Adding to his touring resume, the Nashville native will headline hometown hot spot Exit/In for two SOLD OUT nights, March 21 and March 22. Check out all upcoming tour dates HERE.
The hit-maker recently wrapped Season Three of his Just Being ERNEST podcast where he hosted up-close chats alongside trailblazers such as Bobby Bones, John Crist, Craig Wiseman, Morgan Wallen, Chris Lane and more. Past seasons have featured artists and creators from Diplo to HARDY to John Daly and Taylor Lewan. ICYMI, watch on YouTube HERE.
With an ever-growing portfolio of hits, ERNEST is one of the most in-demand songwriters and his profile only continues to rise. Spotlighted as “The Charmer” in MusicRow’s 2021 October/November print issue, he has penned FOUR #1 singles for artists Sam Hunt, Chris Lane, Morgan Wallen, and Florida Georgia Line. ERNEST’s credit is also on Kane Brown’s chart-rising “One Mississippi.” Check out Apple Music’s ERNEST: Songbook for his growing list of cuts.

SAVE THE DATE: MORGAN WALLEN LIVE FROM THE RYMAN (1/12)
The one night only, full-band Nashville concert will be livestreamed worldwide on Wallen’s YouTube and Facebook pages, showcasing “one of the most exciting stars in the genre” (Forbes) who “walks the line from Waylon to Paisley” (HITS). Fans can tune in to see Wallen perform a selection of Dangerous’ expansive 30 tracks, as shared on his socials earlier today.
Rounding out his skyrocketing year, Wallen continues to break records, notching a second consecutive week atop Apple Music’s all genre pre-add chart with Dangerous. CJ SOLAR CELEBRATES "UP DOWN" #1
Ships New Single,
Opening for Skynyrd This Weekend
“I’ve been dreaming of this since I wrote my first song when I was like 12,” said an elated Solar of “Up Down,” his first #1 Country single as a writer. “I can’t thank Morgan, FGL and the whole Big Loud crew for taking it all the way to the top and to the Country fans for helping make it happen!”
Solar, who Rolling Stone Country named one of their “New Artists You Need To Know,” wrote “American Girls” with Michael Hardy, Jake Mitchell and Michael Hobby of A Thousand Horses. “We were wanting to write something that felt current but still had that Southern Rock vibe that we grew up on,” said CJ. “I had been listening to the Tom Petty station on SiriusXM and got the idea to write a modern day song about American girls.”
CJ will have another dream come true, when he and his band head to Raleigh on Friday and Charlotte on Saturday to open for Lynyrd Skynyrd. 38 Special is on both bills, and Cheap Trick and Hank Williams, Jr. split the Raleigh and Charlotte shows, respectively.
“I can’t believe everything that’s going on right now. This might be the best week of my life, and I feel like we’re just getting started!”

RISING STAR MORGAN WALLEN SHINES IN GRAND OLE OPRY DEBUT
RISING STAR MORGAN WALLEN SHINES IN GRAND OLE OPRY DEBUT
Bill Anderson Raves About “The Way I Talk” Singer’s Potential
Currently Opening Select Dates On Florida Georgia Line’s Massive THE SMOOTH TOUR 2017

Receiving an overwhelming introduction from legendary Opry star “Whispering” Bill Anderson, Wallen was barely able to contain his excitement as a long-held dream came true.
Anderson, who is a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame and holder of 18 #1 hits as a solo artist, raved about the young singer-songwriter and predicted Wallen’s debut was only “the first of many performances on the Opry stage.” Anderson also drew an interesting parallel between Wallen and Country icon Johnny Cash, who made his own Opry debut 61 years to the day on July 7, 1956.

During his performance, Wallen delivered two original songs for the thousands in attendance and countless more tuning in from around the world; the grooving getting-over-her ballad “Whiskey Glasses,” and his breakout first single, “The Way I Talk,” both of which appear on his 2016 EP THE WAY I TALK (produced by Joey Moi). Written by Jessi Alexander, Ben Hayslip, and Chase McGill, “The Way I Talk” is a drawling, take-me-as-I-come anthem which rose into the Top 35 of the Country radio airplay charts, and has already been streamed more than 10 million times on Spotify alone.
Showing off a diverse sound based in modern Country and Southern Rock – along with Wallen’s distinctive sandpaper vocal – the song and EP have helped the Knoxville native earn recognition as one of Rolling Stone’s “10 New Country Artists You Need to Know” and Taste of Country’s 2017 Risers. His video for “The Way I Talk” premiered on CMT earlier this year, and he collected his first single credit as a co-writer on A Thousand Horses’ rocking new release, “Preachin’ To the Choir.”
Wallen is currently performing in front of massive crowds as an opening act on select dates of Florida Georgia Line’s game-changing THE SMOOTH TOUR 2017, a post-genre blowout which also features Hip-Hop icon Nelly and breakthrough Country star (and labelmate) Chris Lane. Wallen will continue touring through late October.
