"A TRIBUTE TO THE JUDDS" OUT NOW

In Honor of the Duo’s 40th Anniversary, the Album Brings Together Artists Across Multiple Genres to Celebrate the Legacy of The Judds

In celebration of The Judds’ 40th anniversary, some of music’s biggest stars have come together for A Tribute to The Judds, a compilation album full of reimagined versions of the legendary duo’s discography out now, on BMG. 
 
Throughout the record, the featured artists – Wynonna Judd, Ashley McBryde, Barnett, Lynne, and West, Blake Shelton, Carl Perkins, Carly Pearce, Cody Johnson, Dolly Parton, Ella Langley, Gabby Barrett, Gwen Stefani, Jamey Johnson, Jelly Roll, Jennifer Nettles, K. Michelle, Lainey Wilson, LeAnn Rimes, Megan Moroney, Molly Tuttle, O.N.E. The Duo, Raul Malo, Reba McEntire, Rob Ickes, Shelly Fairchild, Sonya Isaacs, The Fisk Jubilee Singers, Trey Hensley, Trisha Yearwood, and Wendy Moten – all intertwine their signature sound into the beloved music of The Judds, creating a powerful adulation to one of the most iconic duos in Country music.

All tracks from the album were developed by The Judds’ original producer and six-time Grammy award winner, Brent Maher outside of “Cry Myself to Sleep,” which was produced by four-time CMA winner Cactus Moser. Forty years after signing the mother daughter duo to RCA Records, Joe Galante now serves as the project’s executive producer and spearheaded the record into fruition alongside Renee Bell. Galante’s previous work with The Judds culminated in multiple accolades including: 6 multi-platinum studio albums, 5 Grammy awards, 9 CMA awards, 8 ACM awards, and an induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame.

“Mama He’s Crazy” featuring multi-award-winning artists, Dolly Parton and Lainey Wilson will serve as the focus track for the album and can be heard HERE.

Country music icon, Wynonna Judd, recently announced that The Judds: The Final Tour, produced by Sandbox Live and Live Nation, will be continuing on in 2023 thanks to the overwhelming love and support of fans. The explosive 11-date first run of the arena tour saw generations of Judds fans singing along to the duo's most enduring and beloved hits. Wynonna has once again enlisted the talents of some of Nashville's brightest stars - joining her for the 2023 run include Ashley McBryde, Brandi Carlile, Kelsea Ballerini, Little Big Town, and Tanya Tucker. Also, returning as a very special guest on all upcoming tour dates, is country music powerhouse, Martina McBride.

CMT and Sandbox Live today announced “NAOMI JUDD: A RIVER OF TIME CELEBRATION,” a LIVE celebration from Ryman Auditorium, in partnership with The Judds' family, to honor the extraordinary life and legacy of country music icon Naomi Judd. CMT will exclusively televise the public memorial service as a commercial-free special on Sunday, May 15th at 6p/5c.

“We are sincerely privileged to work alongside Wynonna and Ashley to present this live celebration of life for their mother Naomi. While we all continue to deeply mourn the loss of such a legendary artist, we are honored to commemorate her legacy alongside the country community, her friends, family and legions of fans across the world at the perfect venue: The Mother Church of Country Music. This special will celebrate her timeless voice, unforgettable spirit and the immense impact she left on our genre through the best form of healing we have - music,” shared CMT Producers.

Additional details on the public memorial service, performers and special appearances to be announced in the coming days.

NAOMI JUDD TO STAR IN LIFETIME V.C. ANDREWS MOVIE SERIES "RUBY"


Lifetime, the exclusive home of V.C. Andrews movies, adds big names to their next movie series event centered on the Landry Family with Naomi Judd (The Killing Game), Crystal Fox (Big Little Lies), Gil Bellows (Patriot) and Deborah Cox (Influence) in the first installment of the series, "Ruby." Naomi Judd’s film installment of “Ruby” is set to air in 2021, with air dates and times to be announced at a later date.

Naomi Judd joins the previously announced cast twins Raechelle Banno (Pandora) and Karina Banno (The Letdown) and Lauralee Bell (The Young and the Restless).

The movie series follows Ruby Landry, who after being raised by her loving grandmother (Naomi Judd) in the Louisiana bayou, is ensnared in a world of dark family secrets and betrayal, upon discovering that she has another family living in New Orleans. 

Ruby is filled with hope as love blooms with her high school sweetheart Paul Tate, but lingering thoughts of her mysterious father and her mother’s death often creep into Ruby’s mind. As dark family secrets begin to reveal themselves when Paul's parents forbid him from seeing Ruby, Ruby is further devastated when her beloved Grandmère (Naomi Judd) passes away. Forced to flee to New Orleans from the bayou, Ruby searches for her estranged father (Bellows), one of the richest men in the city, as she clings to her memories of Paul and their forbidden love.
 
This Labor Day weekend, Lifetime will air a special V.C. Andrews Marathon starting on Saturday, September 5th at 12pm PT/ET and Sunday, September 6th at 10am PT/ET - full schedule below.  Saturday titles will include My Sweet Audrina starring India Eisley and William Mosely, followed by the Heaven series - Heaven, Dark Angel, Fallen Heart, Gates of Paradise and Web of Dreams - starring Annalise Basso, Jason Priestley and Daphne Zuniga.  Sunday will include and encore presentation of select Heaven titles, followed by the Flowers in the Attic series - Flowers in the Attic, Petals on the Wind, If There Be Thorns and Seeds of Yesterday - starring Heather Graham, and Ellen Burstyn. Viewers will also be treated to a sneak peek of the Ruby trailer.

The V.C Andrews Landry Family book series—Ruby, Pearl in the Mist, All That Glitters and Hidden Jewel is the second highest-selling series from the author, and becomes Lifetime’s latest adaptation of the prolific writer’s work and will debut 2021. Lifetime’s VC Andrews Landry Family movie series comes on the heels of last summer’s premiere of  V.C. Andrews’ Casteel Family movie series, which ranked as cable’s No. 2 new drama series among W25-54* for 2019.

#CMAFEST2018 - NAOMI JUDD AND THE SCOTT BROTHERS JOIN CITY OF HOPE 28TH ANNUAL CELEBRITY SOFTBALL GAME

Country music icon Naomi Judd and The Scott Brothers' Jonathan and Drew Scott are the first celebrities to sign up for the City of Hope 28th Annual Celebrity Softball Game. The event returns to First Tennessee Park on Saturday, June 9. CLICK HERE to purchase tickets.

Naomi Judd, who participated in the game in the late 80s and early 90s, is dusting off her glove and returning as a play-by-play Guest Announcer. Additional legendary artists will be announced soon.

"I may not be on the mound this time around, but I wanted to take a swing at cancer by being part of the game as one of the announcers! City of Hope is an incredible institution, so I'm honored to have a role in the event. I'm looking forward to seeing all the fans!" Naomi Judd said.

The Scott Brothers are warming up for some sibling rivalry! “The City of Hope Celebrity Softball game is always great fun and for a really good cause. Can’t wait to play again this year,” says Drew. Jonathan adds, “It’s like a family reunion of the most giving people in the biz. I’m practicing my swing already with sledgehammers on Property Brothers.”

"MORE THAN THE MUSIC" PREMIERES TOMORROW NIGHT ON HEARTLAND

"More Than the Music", Heartland's  first original series, is set to premiere tomorrow night, January 9, at 8:00 p.m. Eastern (7:00 p.m. Central; 9:00 p.m. Mountain; 8:00 p.m. Pacific) with its first episode featuring guests Colin Hay and John Paul White. The series’ host, Stacy Newman, caught up with both Hay and White recently at Americana Fest in Nashville, Tennessee.

“It was an absolute treat to sit down with Colin Hay and John Paul White at Americana Fest – both are talented, fascinating singer-songwriters that I had a lot of fun talking to, and I can’t wait for everyone to watch,” said Newman.

"More Than the Music" takes viewers everywhere from Heartland’s own studio in Chattanooga, Tennessee, to recording studios in Nashville, to popular venues and music festivals across the country.  Along the way, the series will feature the musicians who inspire us – both those at the pinnacle of success and those still making their way to the top. The Judds, one of the most successful country duos of all time, hit their high in the ‘80s with 14 number one hits in short span of only five years. One of those hits was their 13th #1 song released in February 1989, "Young Love", written by Kent Robbins and Paul Kennerley, the story of two young lovers and the timeline which follows them from first meeting to marriage and having a family. The single was a track from their "River of Time" album. What a sweet song.

THE JUDDS LAUNCH "TELL ME 'BOUT THE GOOD OL' DAYS" SOCIAL CONTEST


In their 1986 classic, The Judds sang “Grandpa (Tell Me ‘Bout The Good Ol’ Days)”. The lyrics from that song that still evoke feelings of nostalgia for their millions of fans to this day and Naomi and Wynonna want fans to help them remember the 'Good Ol’ Days’ from their celebrated career.

Every Thursday, a new year in Judd herstory will be posted on The Judds Facebook page. Wynonna and Naomi are encouraging fans to look back through their photos and share pictures from that year that they may have taken of or with the five-time Grammy winning duo. Each week, the ladies will select a winner for a prize pack of CD’s including their five studio albums, Why Not Me (1984), Rockin’ With The Rhythm (1985), Heartland (1987), River Of Time (1989), Love Can Build A Bridge (1990), as well as the catalog staples Christmas Time With The Judds, Spiritual Reflections, and Number One Hits – with one CD in each package autographed by the duo. Each winner will be included in a drawing at the end of the promotion for a personal video message from Wynonna and/or Naomi Judd themselves.

THE JUDDS - GIRLS NIGHT OUT THE VENETIAN THEATRE OCTOBER 7-24

LAS VEGAS - Mother-daughter duo, The Judds, will reunite and grace the stage for Girls Night Out, a truly special nine-show residency at The Venetian Theatre inside The Venetian Las Vegas, Oct. 7-24, 2015.

Produced by AEG Live, Girls Night Out will mark the iconic and multi-platinum country duo's first concerts together in nearly five years. Songs fans might hear include "Love Can Build a Bridge," "Why Not Me," "Give A Little Love" and the residency's signature song "Girls Night Out" as well as solo numbers such as Wynonna's "No One Else on Earth" and "I Saw The Light." Girls Night Out will boast an all-new show created specifically for the Las Vegas audience featuring a set list handpicked by Wynonna and Naomi. Performances will take place Oct. 7, 10, 13, 14, 16, 17, 21, 23 and 24.
