CHARLES ESTEN MARKS ONE-YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF "LOVE AIN’T PRETTY" WITH DELUXE EDITION AND RELEASE OF DUET WITH SARA EVANS

DROPS DOUBLE VINYL PLUS DIGITAL SONG RELEASE
FEATURING SARA EVANS
CELEBRATES TONIGHT (1/24) AT
CHIEF’S ON BROADWAY IN NASHVILLE
RETURNS TO THE KELLY CLARKSON SHOW
MONDAY (1/27)

Multi-talented entertainer Charles Esten today marks the one-year anniversary of his highly acclaimed independent debut album with the double vinyl release of “Love Ain’t Pretty” Deluxe Edition. Now shipping worldwide, fans can purchase here.

Co-writing all 14 songs with acoustic guitar credits on the landmark version of the Marshall Altman-produced full-length project, Esten adds nine new bonus tracks to this special edition delivery. Featuring star-studded collaborations with Keb' Mo' and Sara Evans, with the latter also available today as a digital song release. Listen here - https://ffm.to/inabarsomewhere_duet

“‘In A Bar Somewhere’ is an ethereal and dreamlike reverie describing that moment in time, when everything about a past love affair seemed to be perfect. Although I originally recorded it solo, it always struck me that both sides of that romance might miss and mourn that magical moment, no matter how bad the whole thing ended up going,” shares Esten. “Sara Evans and I have been friends for about 10 years now, going all the way back to the time she was on NASHVILLE. By that time, I already counted myself as a fan of Sara’s. Now, cut to all these years later when she recently asked me to be on her podcast, and I in turn, was smart enough to beg her to jump on this song with me. God bless her – she was kind enough to say, ‘Yes.’ The result is a check off my bucket list, and a duet for the “Love Ain’t Pretty” Deluxe Edition that makes me very happy.”

The 23-track Deluxe Edition further includes never-before-heard demos and worktapes from the creation of “Love Ain’t Pretty”, as well as a live performance recorded from the sold-out NASHVILLE Reunion Tour (with Esten, Clare Bowen, Jonathan Jackson, and Sam Palladio). With supplies selling fast, Esten is also offering a 250-count limited edition batch here. Pressed in a beautiful “velvet chair” red-colored vinyl (to match the album cover art), this exclusive collectible will be autographed, hand-numbered, and bundled with a poster and guitar pick.

Listen to “Lonely” HERE

Scotty McCreery may be a happily married father, but that is not stopping him from tapping into a bit of sorrow for his latest release out today, “Lonely,” from his upcoming album Rise and Fall. This will be the final song released from Rise and Fall before the album comes out on May 10.

“I love a good heartbreak, honky-tonk country song, and ‘Lonely’ is definitely that,” said McCreery. “Brent, Derek, Frank, Bobby, Jeremy, Monty and I had such a good time writing this song on my back porch in the mountains of North Carolina. This song is so much fun to perform live and have the audience sing along with us. I’ve had a lot of requests from fans who’ve heard this song on the road to put it out on streaming. Here you go!”

Written by McCreery with Brent Anderson, Derek George, Frank Rogers, Bobby Hamrick, Jeremy Bussey and Monty Criswell, “Lonely” is a dark-and-dusky two-stepper drenched in heartbreak. Set in a late-night local hole-in-the-wall and narrated by a guy looking to forget why he came in the bar to begin with, friends join him in his effort to drown out the pain turning the barroom into a sing along.

Friends on the jukebox and friends wall to wall
Dimes on the dance floor and cheap alcohol
Round after round, we're all having a ball
I guess lonely ain't lonely after all
No lonely ain't lonely after all

The newest member of the legendary Grand Ole Opry will also return to the stage where he won hearts across the nation over 13 years ago. McCreery is set to perform his chart-topping hit “Cab in a Solo” on “American Idol” this Sunday, April 28. Catch his guest performance live coast-to-coast on ABC at 8 pm ET / 5 pm PT and stream on Hulu.

McCreery is also set to return to “The Kelly Clarkson Show” on Wednesday, May 1 with a special performance from the Grand Ole Opry stage. Check local listings for time.

McCreery will return to the Grand Ole Opry stage on May 11, just one day after he releases his new album Rise and Fall. The first 400 ticketholders who also purchase the album onsite in the Opry Shop that evening will gain access to an exclusive album release celebration and acoustic performance with Scotty directly following the show in the Opry House’s Studio A. For Opry tickets and information, visit Opry.com.

Rise and Fall will feature 13 tracks that find him exploring not only heartbreak but rowdy nights, nostalgia, faith, newfound joy, fatherhood and enduring love, resulting in a project full of insightful storytelling. The album was produced by McCreery’s longtime production team of Frank Rogers, Derek Wells and Aaron Eshuis.

McCreery co-wrote 12 of the 13 songs on the album, which will be released digitally as well as on CD and vinyl. In addition, Amazon will release a limited edition, forest green vinyl version of the album.Pre-order/pre-save Rise and Fall HERE or pre-order autographed vinyl and CDs of Rise and Fall HERE.

“I know every artist says it, but this is truly my favorite album I’ve made so far,” shares McCreery. “I wanted to create an album that reflected the music I grew up on and wasn’t chasing trends. So, I brought several of my songwriting buddies to the mountains of North Carolina to sit down and write a full-on country album that told a story, start to finish, and spoke to my soul. We’ve been performing most of the album live on the road and the response from the audiences has been overwhelming. I can’t wait for everyone to hear Rise and Fall when it comes out May 10th.”

The North Carolina native knows all too well there’s a rhythm to life and a cycle of ups and downs. And right now, he’s on the upswing.

Now 30 years old and a seasoned country music veteran selling out concerts across the globe with five consecutive No. 1 hits under his belt, McCreery is also a dedicated husband and father, welcoming a son named Avery in 2022, whose impact on the singer is highlighted in several songs on the album. Recently, he even celebrated the milestone of all milestones for a guy who grew up on Randy Travis, Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton and Ronnie Milsap; he was invited by his musical hero Garth Brooks to become the newest member of the iconic Grand Ole Opry. McCreery was just welcomed into the Opry family on April 20 by two more of his heroes, Josh Turner and Randy Travis.

But folks like McCreery know it means more when you’ve seen the other side. For him, each highlight has come in contrast to a challenge – things like the loss of his first record deal and the year of naysaying uncertainty that followed before he built himself up again, brick by brick. As a result, Rise and Fall comes from an artist who knows to appreciate the ride – no matter where it leads.

“I feel like we’re on the rise now, but I’ve fallen pretty low as well,” McCreery admits. “I learned from every little part of that, and it helped me to know who I was as a person – let alone an artist. The rises and the falls helped craft these songs. They made this album what it is.”

“Lonely” is the sixth song released from the album, following lead single “Cab in a Solo” and tracks “Red Letter Blueprint,” “Slow Dance,” “Can’t Pass the Bar” and “Love Like This.” A full listing of the album’s songs follows.

#REVIEW - "AUTOBIOGRAPHY", THE NEW ALBUM BY JOSEPH HABEDANK: FROM DARKNESS TO THE LIGHT OF REDEMPTION

Listen and experience the power of "Autobiography" here

Author Jamie Arpin-Ricci once wrote that “There is more hope in honest brokenness than in the pretense of false wholeness.” I have been trying to come up with the right words to describe "Autobiography", the new album from Joseph Habedank, and these words seem to say exactly what this album is about.

"God is our refuge and our strength, a very present help in trouble." - Psalm 46:1

Grammy nominated and Dove Award-winning singer/songwriter Joseph Habedank struggled with a heavy prescription drug addiction for several years after developing an ulcer in his throat while he was the lead vocalist and songwriter for the gospel music group, The Perrys. During his addiction, he met his wife, Lindsay. He hid the drugs from Lindsay and tried to live a life under the disguise of "false wholeness" until 3 weeks before their wedding. Lindsay found out about the drugs and his addiction. They married, but shortly after their honeymoon, he started taking pills again. His addiction worsened as time went on, eventually leading to his being asked to leave the group. After losing the job he loved as a musician and in the middle of a crippling addiction, he didn't know what to do or where to turn. He was lost. He knew he had no choice but to find help. He reached out to a counselor at Porter's Call who told him about MusicCares, a program run by the Grammys to assist those in the music industry who need help. He contacted MusicCares and they paid for his complete rehabilitation. Up until his recovery, Lindsay was told over and over that she should leave him and get out of this situation but she knew she had to stay by his side. She stayed, they worked together through the worst times and now there they are, nearly 11 years later, still together with Joseph celebrating over 10 years of being clean and with a thriving ministry that travels around the country telling of Joseph's redemption through faith and music in hopes of helping others overcome their own situations.

"Autobiography" is an extremely personal and vulnerable album of truth, faith and the celebration of victory. His story is one of hope, love and overcoming adversity just when you think you can't handle any more. Each song represents a "chapter" in his life, steps forward, resulting in a change that only comes from believing that help comes from above. He is living proof that Jesus can indeed save you from yourself if you surrender the battle to Him. Opening up, putting it all on the table and sharing his experience may help someone who listens to the album begin to open their own heart to accept hope and to build in their faith. Sharing this truth, as painful as it is, can help others begin to heal.

Thank you Joseph for sharing your own "honest brokenness" through this album and for being the first step that someone who hears it has been wanting to take. There is something about the power of a song and this album proves it. This is one of the best album releases of the year and I hope that the word spreads about the power of this message.

EMILY ANN ROBERTS RELEASES DELUXE EDITION OF DEBUT ALBUM "CAN’T HIDE COUNTRY" FEATURING THE VIRAL TRACK “WORKING ON LOVE”

Stream "Can’t Hide Country Deluxe Edition" here: emilyannroberts.lnk.to/chc-deluxe

Emily Ann Roberts’s Deluxe Edition of her debut album, "Can’t Hide Country", is out now! This special release features three new tracks: “Working on Love,” “When I’m Gone” and “Back Home.” "Working on Love '' has been striking a chord with couples everywhere, amassing over 4.2 million views across TikTok and Instagram. “Back Home” perfectly rounds out this collection of songs as it showcases Roberts’s bluegrass roots with a stunning acapella intro that seamlessly transitions into a lively blend of guitar and fiddle. Roberts’s album embodies the essence of authenticity and celebrates what makes her unique.

Since the debut’s release in September, the album has soared and now boasts over 26 million streams and has earned widespread critical acclaim. 2024 has already become a banner year for the singer. She recently joined CMT’s esteemed Next Women of Country 2024 class and just wrapped up a successful 17-date stint on Blake Shelton’s Back To The Honky Tonk Tour presented by Kubota. Night after night, city after city, Emily Ann delivered electrifying performances and grew her fan base immensely. You can still catch her out on the road this summer playing fairs and festivals.

“This record is my introduction to country music and when you have the opportunity to have 3 more songs as a part of that, they better say something. I’m so excited to complete this project with, ‘Working On Love,’ ‘Back Home,’ and ‘When I’m Gone.’ These songs mean so much to me for different reasons, but most of all they’re all rooted in the things I’ve learned from over the past 8 years of pursuing this dream. I love songs that make me think and feel something that wasn’t there before. ‘Working On Love’ is fun and sweet but it’s real to the core. As a married woman of 3 years, I will be the first to say marriage is the blessing of a lifetime, but if it’s gonna last that long, you have to put the work in. ‘Back Home’ is the wake up call that the grass isn’t always greener past your county line. When we find ourselves always searching for more, it may be time to take a breath and count the blessings we have right in front of us. Best part of this song is when you realize what you had, it’s always waiting for you back home. 'When I’m Gone' probably means the most to me out of the bunch. We never know when our time on Earth will end, and I wanna make the most of the days I’ve been given. I wrote this song with Autumn McEntire after going to a family members funeral. I realized no one spoke about his job, his title, his achievements, or his money. They spoke of his love, his friendship, and his character. Achievements are great, but they don’t amount to a hill of beans when you’re dead and gone. Love lives on and wins every time.”

Reviews are in:

“It’s representative and autobiographical of a young woman in the Southern United States (Knoxville, specifically) telling stories of the hopes, joys, and tribulations of her life. But it’s undoubtedly country, heartfelt, and delightfully simple and true. In an ideal world, this would be what popular country sounds like.”

- Saving Country Music

“This album was a blast from beginning to end for me, with plenty of smart lyrics and a mischievous flair running throughout this record that I’d say helps separate Roberts a bit more as a writer.”
- The Musical Divide

"Can’t Hide Country offers an amalgam of retro-country, bluegrass and folk leanings and contemporary songwriting.”

- Billboard

“Drawing inspiration from the leading ladies of ‘80s and ‘90s country, Can’t Hide Country feels like an homage to those who came before her, while not just depending on them to make an impact. Bringing in elements of the female country greats, there's just as much Emily Ann, too. “

- Holler Country

"This album rules. Emily’s voice just has PERSONALITY. She can belt or deliver a line with a giggle, or she’ll move note-to-note in half steps that are SO damn country over the most tasteful 90’s production and so much fiddle and steel (and horns! and harmonies!). We got songs about lovemaking and arson and faith on here — but there’s a clear through-line about wanting to be a good wife to a good man, and she’s got this wholesome confidence about that whole pursuit in a way that almost feels rebellious to me. And she’s funny, too!”

- Grady Smith

Can’t Hide Country Deluxe Edition Track List:

1.) Whole Lotta Little - (Emily Ann Roberts / Trent Willmon / Jeremy Spillman)

2.) Chickens - (Emily Ann Roberts / Trent Willmon / Paul Overstreet)

COUNTRY VOCAL POWERHOUSE NATE SMITH RELEASES "THROUGH THE SMOKE" EP TODAY

JOINS MORGAN WALLEN ON HIS ONE NIGHT AT A TIME 2024 TOUR
Two Songs Currently Top 25 At Country Radio
“World On Fire” & New Single “Bulletproof”

Fresh off his 10 consecutive week No. 1, country breakout star Nate Smith releases his new EP Through The Smoke today (Listen Here). The 7-track EP features new single “Bulletproof” as well as 5 additional new songs and a cover of Nirvana’s “Heart Shaped Box.” Showing no signs of slowing down, “Bulletproof” reaches top 25 on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart this week.

Smith shared about the project, “I’ve been through a lot of adversity in my life, but ‘through the smoke’ came to mind one day and I thought that was the perfect way to describe making it through tragedy. It captures what it looks like on the other side of heartbreak, on the other side of tragedy, on the other side of giving everything you’ve got to go after what you want to do in life. I think this EP is a transition between all the fire and pain and everything I went through, and then overcoming. And that’s what I want people to feel. It’s layered in there.”

Through The Smoke Track List:

Bulletproof
Wish I Never Felt
Rather Be Lonely
Here’s To The Hometowns
Make It With You ft. The War & Treaty
Hollywood
Heart Shaped Box

Last night, Smith joined Morgan Wallen for the kickoff to Wallen’s ONE NIGHT AT A TIME 2024 tour. Smith will open the highly sought-after tour in stadiums across the country, with stops in Arlington (TX), Charlotte, Denver, Indianapolis, Kansas City, Las Vegas, Minneapolis, Nashville, Oxford (MS), Tampa and other cities. THE FRONTMEN'S SELF-TITLED DEBUT ALBUM ARRIVES TODAY VIA BBR MUSIC GROUP/BMG NASHVILLE

Stream and Download "The Frontmen" HERE

THE FRONTMEN, three of ‘90s country’s most recognizable voices — Richie McDonald, formerly of Lonestar; Tim Rushlow, formerly of Little Texas; and Larry Stewart of Restless Heart — today release their self-titled debut album via BBR Music Group/BMG Nashville.
The Frontmen, produced by two-time GRAMMY-nominated Mickey Jack Cones, features nine original songs, as well as three Lonestar, Little Texas and Restless Heart No. 1 hits, re-recorded Frontmen-style. The trio tag team lead vocals throughout.

"It's super cool to release brand new Frontmen music as a full album," says Stewart. "I'm so excited about this music, these songs and how this project represents the three of us so perfectly. Mickey Jack Cones did a magical job capturing Richie, Tim and myself from top to bottom. I can’t wait for the world to hear it and I couldn’t be more proud!"

Original tunes on the project ("Beatles and Eagles," "The Radio Played," "Layin' Low in Mexico," "It Was Always You," "Rattlesnake," "I Need You," "Goodbye Beautiful Goodbye," "Should've Run Out of Angels" and "Left Their Mark") were hand-picked by the trio and Cones. Classic tunes on the album are songs most will instantly recognize: Lonestar's “Amazed (The Frontmen Edition),” Little Texas' “God Blessed Texas (The Frontmen Edition)” and Restless Heart's “I’ll Still Be Loving You (The Frontmen Edition).”

"I feel like a kid on Christmas morning, waiting to unwrap the presents," notes McDonald. "We’ve been anxiously waiting to unwrap this new Frontmen music and share with the world for awhile now. Thanks to everyone involved for help making this dream a reality."

“It feels quite surreal to finally let the world in on what we have been cooking in the kitchen with The Frontmen," adds Rushlow. "For 14 years playing select shows at home and overseas for our men and women in uniform, it's time to see what the world thinks of us! I am more proud of this record with Larry and Richie than any music I have ever been involved in making. Mickey Jack Cones is a true believer who totally knew where to navigate this new sound and yet still be reminiscent of our past successes. We are so grateful to Jon Loba and his team at BMG Nashville for this opportunity. Let's GO!"

The Frontmen Track Listing:

1. It Was Always You
2. The Radio Played
3. I Need You
4. Beatles and Eagles
5. Left Their Mark
6. Should've Run Out of Angels
7. Rattlesnake
8. Layin' Low in Mexico
9. I'll Still Be Loving You (The Frontmen Edition)
10. Amazed (The Frontmen Edition)

Triple Tigers recording artist Scotty McCreery announces his fifth studio album Rise and Fall, featuring 13 tracks that find him exploring themes of heartbreak, rowdy nights, nostalgia, faith, newfound joy, fatherhood, and enduring love, resulting in a project full of insightful storytelling that includes last night’s surprise release, “Slow Dance.” McCreery co-wrote 12 of the 13 songs on the album, which will be released digitally as well as on CD and vinyl. In addition, Amazon will release a limited edition, forest green vinyl version of the album.

1 hits under his belt, McCreery is also a dedicated husband and father, welcoming a son named Avery in 2022 whose impact on the singer is highlighted in several songs on the album. Recently, he even celebrated the milestone of all milestones for a guy who grew up on Randy Travis, Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton, and Ronnie Milsap; he was invited by his musical hero Garth Brooks to become the newest member of the iconic Grand Ole Opry. McCreery’s induction will take place on April 20 with another of his heroes, Josh Turner, officially welcoming him into the Opry family.

But folks like McCreery know it means more when you’ve seen the other side. For him, each highlight has come in contrast to a challenge – things like the loss of his first record deal and the year of naysaying uncertainty that followed before he built himself up again, brick by brick. As a result, Rise and Fall, produced by longtime collaborators Frank Rogers, Aaron Eshuis and Derek Wells, comes from an artist who knows to appreciate the ride – no matter where it leads.

“I feel like we’re on the rise now, but I’ve fallen pretty low as well,” McCreery admits. “I learned from every little part of that, and it helped me to know who I was as a person – let alone an artist. The rises and the falls helped craft these songs. They made this album what it is.”

With last night’s release of “Slow Dance,” written by McCreery with Brent Anderson, Derek George and Monty Criswell, McCreery looks for an exit to life in the fast lane, dropping everything to focus on what matters most. After teasing the song on social media a few months back, fans have consistently urged him to drop the track, as the romantic ballad can turn a kitchen floor into a ballroom with its ‘90s-country sway and deep, heart-melting vocal:

Baby, you’re my slow dance
To Whitley in the kitchen
Taking my hand, and all of my attention
Cheek to cheek across the floor
When I need to shut the door
On a world that’s always moving so fast
Baby, you’re my slow dance

“I am not the greatest at doing social media, but my team encourages me to do it,” explains McCreery. “A few months back, I was waiting on some hibachi takeout and listening to the new tracks in my truck. I filmed a quick video of me singing along with ‘Slow Dance’ and posted it on my socials, picked up my takeout food, and went home to eat dinner with Gabi. I looked at my phone that evening and the song had blown up; it’s now my most watched TikTok video to date. Over the last few weeks, anytime I post a photo on social media, the response I get back is ‘that’s great…so when are you putting ‘Slow Dance’ out?’ I’m excited to finally put it out!!”

“Slow Dance” is the fourth song released from the album, following lead single “Cab in a Solo” and tracks “Can’t Pass the Bar” and “Love Like This.”

ELVIE SHANE RELEASES THE REVIVAL ROUSING “DOES HEAVEN HAVE A CREEK” – OUT NOW

Shane’s Transformative Sophomore Album "DAMASCUS", Out 4/19
Available To Pre-Order/Pre-Save/Pre-Add HERE

Singer/songwriter Elvie Shane has released his latest single. “Does Heaven Have A Creek,” available today.

Written solo in the days before recording his imminent album "DAMASCUS", “Does Heaven Have A Creek” came from a question Shane once asked himself following the passing of his grandmother, about what really matters, and what comes next. His alluring vocals take you to church, with the heartland hymn serving as another reminder of how the Kentucky native "forces you to rethink anything you think you know, or assume, about the genre’s Music Row bros” (Stereogum).
“‘Does Heaven Have A Creek’ is simply the wondering mind of a believer,” said Shane. “A testimony of hope that Heaven has a few of the simple pleasures we enjoy here on earth. Is Heaven only for A-List Christians? Is there room for a prodigal ‘Good Ole Boy’ from Kentucky just trying to live a decent life and be a good man?”

The track comes as the sixth release from Shane’s sophomore album "DAMASCUS", releasing April 19th. Full of unflinching honesty rooted in compassionate clarity, each track steps into the shoes of another, with Shane taking pieces of each character he’s met on his path, melding them into one beautifully woven work. The album is available for pre-order/pre-save/pre-add HERE.

One of Nashville Scene’s “2024 Artists to Watch,” Shane has already garnered buzz for the project, with releases of “Baptized,” “Jonesin’” and “Forgotten Man,” with the latter dubbed “an ode to blue-collar workers that exposes the heart-aching realities of the working class,” (Billboard), and with his track “Pill,” critics praised its gripping honesty as it “further cements Shane as a new voice of the damaged, addicted, and lost in country music,” (Rolling Stone). Shane also recently released “What Do I Know,” along with a moving video to accompany the track featuring a cameo by John Carter Cash, available to watch HERE.

KEEP UP WITH ELVIE SHANE

BRYCE LEATHERWOOD SETS TONE OF WHAT’S TO COME WITH “NEON DOES”

Leatherwood Hits Studio with Will Bundy for First Full-Length Album
for Republic Records / Universal Music Group

Listen to "Neon Does" Here

Republic Records / Universal Music Group Nashville recording artist Bryce Leatherwood is starting the new year with new music: the neotraditional, line dance ready “Neon Does,” out now.

“Y’all I am so excited to share my song ‘Neon Does,’” shares Leatherwood. “This is the first song I’ve written to be released to the public and I am amped up to hear what y’all think! God bless country music and let the neon do what the neon does."

Written by Leatherwood along with Matt McKinney and Alex Maxwell and produced by Will Bundy, the track finds the Woodstock, Georgia native waxing poetic about the intoxicating effects of neon lights on the dance floor. It’s the first taste of new music to come in 2024, as the rising star hits the studio with Bundy to begin recording his debut full-length project.

On the inspiration for the song, Leatherwood recalls, “The write happened pretty quickly. I was wanting to write something fun and upbeat that people would love to dance to. Someone threw out the line ‘Neon Does’ and it immediately sparked thoughts of Brooks and Dunn’s ‘Neon Moon’ and Chris Young's ‘Neon.’ Once that idea was shared, the song just came out...I think we had it written in less than 90 minutes!”

A Georgia Southern University alum, Leatherwood began honing his craft in college, playing local venues and fostering his country music repertoire. At Georgia Southern, he formed his band in late 2021 and began playing all around the Southeast.

After graduating college, he competed on the NBC hit television show The Voice and was crowned the Season 22 winner in December of 2022. Following his success on The Voice, Leatherwood began pursuing a full-time music career, signing with Republic Records and Universal Music Group Nashville in October 2023.

Leatherwood is currently recording and will be releasing new music throughout 2024.

DALTON DOVER READIES NEW COLLECTION TAKE ME HOME: COVERS SET FOR FEBRUARY 9

Pre-Save "Take Me Home: Covers" Here

Growing up in Polk County, Georgia, Dalton Dover is no stranger to rural origins. His love of country music was sparked by his grandfather, who introduced him to a wellspring of artists that traversed decades of tradition. With Take Me Home: Covers, set for release February 9 via UMG Nashville/Mercury Records, Dover is paying homage to his roots and saluting some of the songs that first enamored him to the genre.

“I grew up in a musical family, where we’d sing at church and then go home and keep singing,” reveals Dover. “My grandpa would put on his favorite records, and I’d listen to the stories. Seeing my own life in those lyrics is what made me fall in love with country music, and I can’t think of a better way to honor that than sharing these songs.”

Although the full track list is yet to be revealed, Dover recently released a rendition of John Denver’s “Take Me Home, Country Roads,” earning MusicRow’s “Disc of the Day” and praising, “He remains one of our finest young country voices. Think again, if you think you’ve heard this oldie often enough. Dover’s slowed-down, gentle, caressing, thoughtful reading of the lyric brings a whole new dimension to the song. This man has the goods. A loud, “Amen” from this corner.”

Wide Open Country observes, “By singing one we all know, Dover drew attention to his smooth twang and his innate ability to make us feel the emotions packed in every line,” calling him “one of the more captivating young artists to sign a big-label deal in recent memory.”

After honing his live show with festival dates and supporting acts such as Luke Combs, Tyler Hubbard, Sam Hunt, Parker McCollum, Justin Moore and Chase Rice, Dover is gearing up to embark on his first headlining club tour with his Never Giving Up On That Tour, kicking off Feb. 23 among dates on Larry Fleet’s The Earned It Tour. Tickets are on sale now at DaltonDoverOfficial.com.

Dover is signed with United Talent Agency for worldwide booking representation in all areas, along with Sony Music Publishing Nashville in partnership with Droptine Music Publishing. For more information, visit DaltonDoverOfficial.com or follow along on Instagram, TikTok, Twitter and Facebook.

LANCE COWAN RELEASES FIRST SINGLE FROM FORTHCOMING ALBUM "SO FAR SO GOOD"

PRE-SAVE ALBUM HERE

Lance Cowan’s first single, “This Heart Of Mine,” from his upcoming album release, "So Far So Good" (release date: Feb. 23 on CPI/The Orchard) is available today, January 19, 2024. - LISTEN HERE.

“Over the years, so many folks have supported my songwriting, waiting on me to actually release an album,” Cowan said. “I can’t say how much I’ve appreciated their patience and how they’ve stood behind me and allowed me to find the right time for this project. I’m overwhelmed by the response.“

For the past 30 years, Lance Cowan has worked behind the scenes with some of the country’s finest songwriters, including Joe Ely, Jimmie Dale Gilmore, Butch Hancock, Michael Martin Murphey, Nanci Griffith, Guy Clark and many more.

Pat Flynn, who plays on the album, is a hit songwriter for such artists as Garth Brooks and is perhaps best known for his work with wildly influential New Grass Revival, recently observed “Of course, writing good songs puts one in a fairly exclusive group – but actually creating a distinctive voice, form and style is to ascend into rarified air. Lance Cowan has achieved a very distinctive style, warm and engaging, but most importantly, recognizable. Lance continues to make a significant contribution to songwriting, not just as a form of expression, but as creative art at the highest level.”

Like so many, Cowan came to Nashville planning to make a living in the music business. His foot in the door at a leading music pr firm, Network Ink, led to work with the likes of New Grass Revival (Sam Bush, Pat Flynn, John Cowan & Bela Fleck), Charlie Daniels, Nanci Griffith, Reba McEntire and many more. It wasn’t long before he moved to powerhouse Vector Management, which represented Griffith, New Grass Revival, Steve Wariner, Ely, Lyle Lovett and more. As an independent publicist, he has worked with artists as diverse as Ely, Clarence “Gatemouth” Brown, Bobby Charles, Murphey, Drew Holcomb and many more. As a songwriter, his works have been covered by the likes of Joan Baez, Janis Ian and David Mallett, to name a few.

For So Far So Good, Cowan assembled some of the finest musicians in the world, including Dan Dugmore (Linda Ronstadt, James Taylor), Sam Bush, Flynn (New Grass Revival), Dave Pomeroy (Don Williams), Andrea Zonn (James Taylor), Keith Sewell (The Chicks), Robert Reynolds (The Mavericks), Jay Turner, among others.

CHARLES ESTEN FUELS EXCITEMENT FOR DEBUT ALBUM WITH TWO NEW RELEASES: “MAKE YOU HAPPY” + “WHEN LOVE AIN’T LOVE”

With his highly anticipated independent debut album, Love Ain’t Pretty, out January 26, multi-talent Charles Esten reveals the true dichotomy of matters of the heart with two new releases from the full-length project. Available now across all streaming platforms and digital retailers, listen to “Make You Happy” and “When Love Ain’t Love” here.

Both co-written by Esten, as his pen is credited on all 14 songs on Love Ain’t Pretty, “Make You Happy” – written by Esten, Gary Burr, and Jon D’Agostino – finds a stand-up guy lost in love. Soaked in an irresistibly romantic and restless desire, Esten offers a playful proposition with a hard to resist spirit. Produced by Marshall Altman with an upbeat mix of honky-tonk, beachy Doo-Wop and funky Soul, “Make You Happy” also features a bouncy Caribbean beat and a touch of whirring organ, plus Esten’s love-drunk vocal and a spirit-lifting hook. All along, he promises not to ask for the world – just to see a smile.

Like the album title suggests, “When Love Ain’t Love” – written by Esten and Jeffrey East – taps into the opposing side of love, as it explores the slow-motion unraveling of a relationship. Serving as a cautionary tale of a romantic fallout and the inevitably hard truths that accompany it, the Altman-produced confessional boasts Esten’s raw vocal cutting through the ‘80s Rock atmosphere, with reverb-soaked guitars that further create the woozy, disoriented feeling of a world turned upside down. The steady back beat continues to pound on like a desperate heart, hoping things might one day turn around, even through the stark resignation of the final chorus lyric: “When it ain’t like before, but there ain’t no because. Love ain’t love no more. It just is what it is, when it ain’t what it was.”

Vividly detailed and filled with the emotional daring of a celebrated storyteller – both onscreen and onstage – Esten dives into wide-ranging themes of earth-shattering romance, big-picture reflection, and beyond, in Love Ain’t Pretty. Spotlighted as the High Note in Nashville Lifestyles’ The Music Issue on stands now, the diverse and richly textured full-length project was also just featured by GRAMMY.com and Parade. In addition, it’s been spotted on anticipated albums of 2024 lists by The Tennessean, STEREOGUM, Men’s Journal, and Taste of Country. More than 10 years in the making, Esten explores life, love, and the passing of time through the lens of a traveled and tested everyman, who has never lost his innate sense of wonder, or his wide-open soul, with a rollout of already released songs including “One Good Move,” “A Little Right Now,” “In A Bar Somewhere,” “Down The Road (feat. Eric Paslay),” and “Somewhere In The Sunshine.”

Come join Charles and celebrate "Love Ain’t Pretty" with an album release show at Exit/In on January 26 - limited tickets are remaining. Fans can purchase here.

WADE HAYES PROVES "OLD COUNTRY STILL ROCKS" WITH FORTHCOMING ALBUM SET FOR NOVEMBER 17 RELEASE

Wade Hayes has always paid homage to the traditional country music of his roots while establishing his own legacy in the genre. Now the Oklahoma Country Music Hall of Famer takes his admiration for classic country music a step further with "Old Country Still Rocks", an 11-song set that celebrates his heroes, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Bob Wills, Merle Haggard and other icons due out November 17, 2023 on Conabar Records.

“I’ve always wanted to make a record covering some of my favorite country songs,” Hayes says. “You couldn't find a better batch of songs to find out where I came from, what influenced me and why I do the style of music that I do. Honestly, I could do another covers album tomorrow of songs that didn't make the cut. There are so many great country songs that sound just as relevant today as they did when they were first hits.”

His first full-length album since 2019’s Who Saved Who, the new collection kicks off with the relatable anthem “Old Country Still Rocks.” The song, which is also the album’s focus track finds Hayes name-checking Waylon, Willie, Haggard, Joe Diffie and other favorites while celebrating the swagger those honk tonk heroes brought to their incredible catalog of hits. These songs were part of his musical education as he grew up playing in Oklahoma clubs with his father Don, a well-respected local musician.

Hayes puts his distinctive touch on such beloved hits as Willie’s “Whiskey River,” Keith Whitley’s “I’m Over You” and George Strait’s “Does Fort Worth Ever Cross Your Mind,” but he was also mindful to serve up some more obscure gems like Haggard’s “Can’t Break the Habit.” He also delivers a poignant cover of the Patty Loveless hit “Here I Am” that breathes new life into the emotional Tony Arata-penned ballad. He concludes the collection with an uplifting take on the gospel singalong “I’ll Fly Away.”

He also serves up a potent rendition of his pal Johnny Lee’s hit “One in a Million,” a song that is especially meaningful to him because it was written by his mentor Chick Rains. The song takes Hayes back to his early days in Nashville when he played in Lee’s band until the wee hours and then would get up early to be at his construction job. Those long days of burning the candle at both ends inspired his debut hit “Old Enough to Know Better.’

Born with working man’s hands, a poet’s heart and an undeniably powerful voice, Wade Hayes continues to entertain fans and his passion for country music has never dimmed. He’s currently writing songs for his next album and his tour schedule has never been busier.

Jam-packed with all the traditional country sounds so many crave, this one is sure to please! The new music is available for download and streaming at https://vyd.co/Countrygonnabealright.

There are two very young boys from Arkansas who have been coming out to Byrnes shows. They know every word to every song, they have their little guitars, they are dressed head to toe in Western wear, and he has seen the love for country music in them. The vision reflected David Adam Byrnes at that age in them and he had a that in mind for some time for this album cover. His parents sent the photograph of me after they saw those two young fellas and he instantly was taken back to his love for country music at that age and knew that image had to be the album cover.
