AMERICAN IDOL’S HUNTERGIRL READIES LABEL DEBUT SONG “HOMETOWN OUT OF ME” FOR FRIDAY, OCTOBER 21

“It’s only been five months since HunterGirl ended her journey on American Idol, where she finished in second place, but she’s already making big moves in her Country music career” (Hollywood Life), as 19 Recordings/BMG today announces the signing of the powerhouse singer-songwriter.

Catapulted to fame on this year’s American Idol, the “Country singer with a bright future” (Hollywood Life) delivered star-making performances that Taste of Country called “impressive,” “shining,” “chill-worthy,” and “glowing,” winning her the hearts of millions across the country and enthusiastic praise from Idol judge and Country superstar Luke Bryan, who applauded her as the “new age Miranda Lambert” and his “favorite female Country voice.”

Up next – the budding Country star will release her first new music since wrapping the show with her label debut track – “Hometown Out Of Me” – on Friday, October 21. Written by HunterGirl with Laura Veltz and producer Jimmy Robbins, the deeply personal song is a thank-you letter to her hometown of Winchester, Tennessee. Pre-save/pre-add HERE.

Currently hustling out on the road, most recently with Justin Moore and Tracey Lawrence, HunterGirl will also kick-off her co-headlining tour with this year’s American Idol winner Noah Thompson on Thursday, October 27 in Columbus, Ohio.

“Despite missing out on the win, her crooning vocals and intimate original song, ‘Red Bird,’ has made her one to watch in the Country scene (American Songwriter). Skyrocketing to No. 1 on iTunes All-Genre and Country charts, “the budding Country star” (Taste of Country) performed her heartfelt and deeply personal original track “Red Bird” on Live with Kelly & Ryan and has appeared on Good Morning America.

Now, with a just-inked record deal and the release of her label debut song “Hometown Out Of Me,” driven by her distinct and genuine vocals, unwavering tenacity and heart of gold, HunterGirl is “settling in for what will be much longer than fifteen minutes of fame.” (Chattanooga City Lifestyle Magazine).

NEW SINGLE FROM MICHAEL ZAIB, "BROKEN HEARTS SHOULD BE A CRIME" IMPACTING COUNTRY RADIO MARCH 4

ARTIST: Michael Zaib

NEW SINGLE: "Broken Hearts Should Be A Crime"

RADIO IMPACT DATE: March 4, 2019

With a voice that evokes the smoothness of Chris Stapleton and the soul of Otis Redding, Michael Zaib blends country, folk, and soul into a new country sound that grips. Born in Shreveport, Louisiana and raised just north of Atlanta, Georgia, the singer-songwriter has been quietly roaring for years off America’s “Main Streets and Byways,” the name of his highly-anticipated studio album dropping 2019. A tale of love, family, and the roads of independent music, this five-song collection packs stories, hard truths, and powerful vocals into an intimate listening experience. This up-coming album is an invitation of sorts to join a singer-songwriter in the passenger seat of an empty car, where for a long time he has been “Traveling Alone,” the Jason Isbell song he covers on his album alongside four of his latest country originals.

MIKE AIKEN'S "VIRGINIA" VIDEO CAPTURES COMMONWEALTH'S GLORY

Mike Aiken's new video, "Virginia," features a unique and personal view of the Commonwealth this singer/songwriter calls home.  "Virginia" is the latest single from Aiken's critically-acclaimed sixth studio album, CAPTAINS & COWBOYS, released on Northwind Records.

"This should be our state song."
-Paul Shugrue, NPR - WHRV, Norfolk, VA

With the warmth of Lightfoot, the earthiness of the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and the unerring timing of Billy Joe Shaver, Aiken's vocals are uninhibited on the self-penned, sweetly vibrant "Virginia."  "It's a love affair," Aiken admits.  "This is my home and a special place to me.  She's beautiful, but just beneath the surface lies the story of a troubled past.  Look a little deeper and you can see and feel the pain of the Civil War's blue and gray; black and white.  It's part of what makes Virginia what she is.  It always sets my soul free to get back home," Mike adds.

The video was shot in a variety of locations, from graveyards to mountaintops to coastal beaches, but the Civil War cemeteries left a lasting impression on Mike and the crew.  "It was the first time I'd ever filmed in that type of location," Aiken reflects.  "When I looked at the tombstones, saw the names and where the soldiers were from, I felt their souls reaching out to me.  It gave me chills and inspired a sense of awe that I'd never felt before."

A well-traveled troubadour, Mike has always felt the pull of the past - and he admits that he sometimes feels as if he were born in the wrong century.  An inner sense of chivalry oozes from every track on CAPTAINS & COWBOYS.  A writer of enormous depth, Aiken knows whereof he speaks: he has lived on a sailboat for the past 20 years, sailed across oceans as a USCG-licensed captain, raised horses and made his living as a farrier.

Mike's upcoming CD, WAYWARD TROUBADOR, will be released this summer.  In the meantime, fans can follow his musical journey at MikeAikenMusic.com.

BROOKE EDEN'S 'SHINING' NEW SINGLE "DIAMONDS" FEATURED IN TLC HIT SERIES "TOO CLOSE TO HOME"/ AVAILABLE EVERYWHERE NOW

Championed by Billboard as a “fiery country star-in-the-making,” Brooke Eden is kicking off the Labor Day weekend with her new single “Diamonds,”available everywhere today, (9/2).

Purchase “Diamonds” here: http://bbrmg.us/diamonds
Stream “Diamonds” here: http://smarturl.it/streamdiamonds

Already lauded a “Song of the Week” by Whiskey Riff and landing a spot on Spotify’s sought-after“New Boots” playlist, the infectious power anthem exudes youthful confidence paired with a feel-good swagger, while telling a story directly from Eden’s high school years:

“I grew up in a small town. On the weekends we couldn’t necessarily have house parties because they would get shut down even before it started because of noise complaints. Instead, we would drive out to the woods and hang out using the headlights from our cars as lights. All the girls would get real dressed up and we’d listen to music and dance around in the headlights ‘shining like diamonds,’” says Eden, who co-penned the song.

This Labor Day, “Diamonds” will be prominently featured in TLC new hit series Tyler Perry’s “Too Close To Home.” Fans may also recognize Eden’s vocal stylings earlier in the broadcast – the pintsize dynamo was hand-selected by Perry to perform the show’s theme song for TLC’s first-ever scripted series.

TUNE IN: Episode 4 of “Too Close To Home” (featuring “Diamonds”) premieres Monday (9/5) at 9pm ET on TLC.

On the road, Eden’s reputation as a commanding live performer continues to grow:

Newsday proclaims Eden “won the crowd over” as the only mainstream Country performer at the recent Billboard Hot 100 Fest 2016, holding her own amid the likes of superstars Ariana Grande, Calvin Harris, Fetty Wap, J. Cole and more.

Billboard declared Eden’s set to be one of the “most memorable” of the two-day festival.

Country darling Tegan Marie made her first major television debut on ABC’s Good Morning America today (8/29), while serving up a bubbly performance of her current single “Lucky Me.”

The little girl with a big voice is wowing listeners with her jaw-dropping vocals at just 12 years old. She’s also making a big difference in her community, as the Flint, MI native is continuing to donate 100% of the proceeds from “Lucky Me” to the children in her hometown directly affected by the devastating water crisis.

Stealing hearts worldwide, the viral sensation charmed GMA’s live studio audience while also singing her impassioned rendition of Florida Georgia Line’s #1 smash-hit “H.O.L.Y.” Within three weeks of posting a cover of it on Facebook earlier this summer, it garnered over 15 million views, made FGL “misty-eyed,” and was featured in Us Weekly’s “Buzzzz-o-Meter” column.

CLICK HERE TO WATCH TEGAN MARIE'S PERFORMANCE VIDEO

A young star on the rise, Tegan has been incredibly well-received by critics. Country Rebel noted, “At only 12-years-old, Tegan Marie is proving that she could not only be the next young star in country music, but the next big star period.” RARE Country added, “If you remember the shock we all felt when a 13-year-old LeAnn Rimes first hit the country scene with ‘Blue’ back in the mid-‘90s, then you’ll appreciate how rare a talent we’ve got in Tegan.”

Her exceptional talent also recently caught the attention of the U.S. Women’s Soccer Team as they invited her to perform the national anthem at their last home game before the Olympics. Tegan rose to the occasion and didn’t let her home team down. RARE Country hailed, “The national anthem is considered by many singers to be one of the hardest songs to perform, but it was a piece of cake for Tegan.”

Natural Man, produced by Wolfe, Lex Lipsitz and Billy Decker and recorded at Nashville’s Westwood Studios and Ronnie’s Place, is a 13-track collection of songs that merges Wolfe’s signature traditional sound, influenced by some of Country music’s greatest legends, including George Strait, Garth Brooks, Clint Black and Dwight Yoakam, with an edgy, modern energy.

Wolfe describes the album as a personal journey, saying, “Natural Man is a concept that I have wanted to record for a few years. This album stretches me as an artist and as a vocalist, while staying true to who I am. I have known how I wanted it to sound, and how I wanted it to look for some time now. I’ve been visualizing this album for such a long time, and it feels great to finally bring it to life!”

Fans can preview Natural Man on its pre-sale date of March 3 through iTunes, Amazon and other major digital retailers.

Natural Man Track Listing and Songwriters:

Leadoff single, “Smile On Mine” hits radio in late January and be available for download on iTunes, Amazon and other major digital retailers on Feb. 3, 2015. The up-beat tune features Wolfe’s familiar traditional sound while showcasing a new modern flair. With its catchy hook and foot-tapping melody, “Smile On Mine” tells the story of budding romance on a first date.

Of the new single, Wolfe comments, “My new single “Smile On Mine” really clicked with me the first time I heard it. It represents this important bridge between traditional country and the more edgy, modern melodies we're hearing on the radio these days. That's what I feel like my whole new album is doing - I'm staying true to my roots and my traditional voice, but also growing and adapting with the times. I think my fans are going to love it!”

From his native small town in Miami, Oklahoma to the bustling Texas dancehalls and honky-tonks; Wolfe’s music has been burning up the Texas Charts where he garnered six consecutive Top Ten singles  (“Let A Country Boy Love You,” “That Girl In Texas,” “I Don’t Dance,” “It All Happened In A Honky Tonk,” “The Only Time You Call” and “What Are You Doin’ Right Now”), making Wolfe a “must see” act in the Texas touring scene.

His 2010 release, It All Happened In A Honky Tonk, became such a regional success that it was re-released as a Deluxe Edition by Warner Music Nashville in 2013. The album debuted at #34 on the Billboard Album Chart and has collectively sold 25,000 units.

A seasoned performer, Wolfe has opened for some of Country’s biggest stars and has played more than 400 live shows over the past four years. He has a busy 2015 tour schedule on the horizon. Details surrounding the forthcoming tour will be released in the coming weeks.

NEW ARTIST JASON MARKS NEEDS OUR HELP!

OK guys, REALLY REALLY need your help! Jason Marks is making a musical resurrection (thank God!) but he can't do it without your help! Jason is the reason I do what I do and the reason my heart bleeds for country music. He is the one that put his trust in me back in 2007 and gave me my first marketing title and we were able to get so much done for him (feature in Country Weekly magazine, opening gigs for Gary Allan, Rascal Flatts, and he was a runner up for Kenny Chesney's Next Big Star.). This guy's voice and commitment to country music are both impeccable and I am so glad to see that he's getting back on the horse after taking a break. Take a listen to his music, you will LOVE IT! -

Check out Jason's "Slow Down" CD HERE and seriously consider helping him. He's taking it old school with this next cd, concentrating on the musical style of those that paved the way for country music. He's a great writer, writes most of his own stuff and can cover any song with quality and perfection.

Here is the link to his crowd funding project. He needs to raise $5,750.00 in 17 days and I KNOW we can get this done for him. Thank you for any help you can give.

The 3,000 capacity crowd raucously welcomed their hometown hero who dominated headlines after winning FOX's The X Factor last December. Backed by his five-piece band, Stevens' 75-minute set included his current single, "Power Of A Love Song," "Can't Get Nothin' Done," as well as "I Got This" from Tate Stevens.

In an emotionally charged moment, Stevens invited his wife, Ashlie, and his two children, son Hayden and daughter Rylie, to the stage to acknowledge how much his life has changed since they signed him up to audition for The X Factor just over one year ago. Stevens thanked them profusely before presenting Ashlie with flowers.

FOX's Eric Burke proclaimed, "I knew he was good, but this is the best concert I've been to."

The Kansas City Star's Timothy Finn observed, "Stevens advised the crowd that he would be singing a lot of material no one had heard yet, but most of the songs from his album were well-received — and for good reason. The album is a collection of radio-friendly ballads, country-rock anthems, country-pop tunes and honky-tonk songs that evokes the sounds and styles of several established country stars: Toby Keith, Dierks Bentley, Kenny Chesney and Jason Aldean." Finn added, "Stevens may be a newcomer in the country-music big leagues, but he is a seasoned performer, having played with several country bands for years before auditioning for The X Factor in May 2012. He and his five-piece band kept the energy levels high all night."

KBEQ's Mike Kennedy also raved, "Tate is seasoned, he’s got an authentic delivery and personality and he can sing for real.”

Following the concert, Stevens stayed over two hours to personally greet and sign autographs for over a thousand fans. The Midland by AMC general manager, Larry Hovick, shared, "That was the longest autograph line for any show we've ever had at The Midland and that's in almost five years of operating. It went very well and the fans were very happy."

It's been a whirlwind for Stevens since winning The X Factor title and later today the City of Belton will honor Stevens with the appropriate "Living the Dream" water tower dedication. Stevens will attend the dedication before heading to New York for performances in support of the album release. Additionally, Stevens will perform "Power Of A Love Song" on ABC's Good Morning America on Friday, April 26 before a tour stop that evening in Atlanta, Ga. with Alan Jackson.

RACHEL FARLEY MAKES A 17-YEAR-OLD DREAM COME TRUE WITH GRAND OLE OPRY DEBUT

(Nashville, TN)- It’s not everyday that a 17-year-old has the opportunity to accomplish a lifelong dream, but RED Bow Records’ Rachel Farley did just that when she stepped onto the infamous Grand Ole Opry stage on Friday, March 15 for the first time in her musical career. The evening was quite surreal for Farley, considering it was only six years prior that she visited the Opry as a spectator to see one of her musical idols, Martina McBride, during her very first trip to Nashville.

"The first step in that circle, you always hear people talk about it, but wow," Farley told Shannon McCombs with America’s Opry Weekend immediately following her performance. "Wow, I mean, you just had to take a deep breath and take it in. It was amazing."

It was a reflective moment when legendary Country Music Hall of Famer and Opry member Bill Anderson introduced Rachel to the audience, reminiscing about how he came to know the young songstress several years prior.

“I met this little lady about three or four years ago, she was like 13 or 14 years old, and somebody from down in my home state of Georgia told me, ‘Listen out for this little girl ‘cause she is really gonna be something,’ and I’ll tell you what, she is.” explained Anderson.

THIS WEEK'S MEDIABASE ADDS LIST

Congratulations to all of the artists making this week's Mediabase Adds list. This week AGAIN was all about the new artists, having more adds than established artists as a whole! People are paying attention to the new music and it's starting to show. Let's keep that trend going! I've started posting the list with both new and established artists so you can see the comparison in numbers.

REMEMBER: An add does NOT guarantee air play, it simply means the station has added the song to their library. Air play is based on demand and sales, so get on the phone/internet/text and start requesting your favorites now. Most major radio stations now allow you to text or email your requests so it's not just making a phone call anymore. If you don't request, don't complain when you don't hear your favorite artist on the radio, plain and simple. These guys need our help, so let's show them we support them and their hard work. Don't depend on their side to do all the promoting if you really love an artist, jump in there and work with them.

Just a side note: The number of new music adds this week speaks volumes for how much radio is liking the new stuff. Way to go! Some of our favorites that we're glad to see this week include Florida Georgia Line, Blackberry Smoke, Brett Eldredge, Charlie Worsham, Parmalee, The Farm, and more!
