NRA COUNTRY NAMES GRETCHEN WILSON AS FEATURED ARTIST FOR JUNE

Enter To Win Exclusive Giveaway via NRACountry.com

Grammy, ACM, CMA, and AMA award winning country artist, Gretchen Wilson, has been chosen as NRA Country’s Featured Artist for June. As part of the promotion starting Monday, June 5, fans can enter for a chance to win an autographed copy of Wilson’s newest CD release and an NRA Country/Gretchen Wilson Merchandise Pack.

After an almost three-year pause to focus on raising her daughter, Wilson is back in the country scene with new single, “Rowdy,” followed by a new album release in mid-June and a nationwide summer tour.

Best known for her smash hit and first single, “Redneck Woman,” Wilson has produced three #1 albums and a New York Times Best Selling autobiography, “Redneck Woman: Stories from My Life.”

“I recently moved from a farm to a neighborhood, so my daughter could study theatre in high school- she’s incredibly talented.” Gretchen Wilson said. “I just love being outside. I mow the grass every few days just to have something to do outside! I’m sure I came up with some the song ideas for my new record in my backyard. I miss riding through the woods on four wheelers and having target practice out in the field, but we do pretty much anything for our kids, don’t we?”

As an NRA Country Featured Artist, Gretchen Wilson joins some of country music’s biggest acts including Hank Williams Jr., Florida Georgia Line, Lee Brice, Frankie Ballard, Love and Theft, Easton Corbin, Eric Paslay, Craig Morgan, Chase Rice, The Swon Brothers, Jon Pardi, Montgomery Gentry, LOCASH and many more, in teaming up to celebrate their support of our brave men and women in uniform, appreciation for the great outdoors, and love of family.

In May of this year, Wilson was featured as a surprise guest for the Hank Williams Jr. concert at the NRA Annual Meeting in Atlanta.

"My passion for the outdoors is a reflection of who I am. It was passed down to me from my dad by my granddad and so on. It's my connection to him and my heritage. It's my release between a busy schedule and my slow road when the world gets too fast. It's a deer blind with my brothers on a crisp December morning. It's a rattle-trap hook, a lazy yellow dog, a hand-me-down Wingmaster 870 when the birds are flying in September. It's caliche gravel, cattle guards & grass hoppers in the summertime. It's one of the greatest gifts I'll be able to pass down to my children. It's home. I am Granger Smith. I am NRA Country.”

Country artist Granger Smith continues to reinvent the face of traditional country music. His consistency in providing powerful, heartfelt, blended hits have made him into a fan and critic favorite over the years. His ninth studio album, "Dirt Road Driveway,” impressively debuted at #1 on the iTunes Country chart and went on to become the best selling independent country album in digital sales of 2013. iTunes also named it as one of the “Best Albums of the 2000’s.” Granger's country boy alter-ego, Earl Dibbles Jr., has its own rabid following and has garnered him a weekly segment called “Dip ‘Em and Pick ‘Em” on CBS Sports’ Inside College Football.
