TUNE IN REMINDER - OLD DOMINION TO ROCK THE ELLEN SHOW TODAY, JANUARY 20

Reigning ACM New Group of the Year, Old Dominion, will perform their latest No. 1 “Song For Another Time” off their debut album for RCA Nashville, Meat And Candy, on The Ellen DeGeneres Show Friday, January 20.

"Song For Another Time,” “an anthemic number that name-checks generations of popular odes to getting caught up in the moment” is, as NPR’s Jewly Hight puts it, “a songbook populated by Neil Diamond and Tom Petty, Van Morrison and John Mellencamp, George Strait and Katy Perry,” Hight adds, “that's the lineage Old Dominion wants to claim.” The single follows multi-week No. 1 Platinum-selling debut single “Break Up With Him” and RIAA certified-Gold Top 5 “Snapback.”

"'Song For Another Time' had been such a big song for us and has opened so many doors for us," said Old Dominion lead singer, Matthew Ramsey. "We are so excited to perform it on Ellen;  2017 is off to an amazing start."

With two years of solid touring finally affording them the opportunity, the band’s debut Ellen performance comes just weeks after wrapping their first headlining tour, which boasted sold-out shows in New York, L.A., Chicago, Boston and dozens more. The road-built band, known for putting its fans first, surprised Nashville with a free pop-up show last week (Jan. 12) to thank its fans for an incredible year filled with ACM, Music Row, AIMP and ACCA awards recognition.

Later this month, Old Dominion will join Miranda Lambert on her Highway Vagabond tour. Until then, the band is rehearsing before they hit the road and can be found in studio with GRAMMY Award-winning producer, Shane McAnally, (producer of Meat and Candy) working on its forthcoming follow-up album due later this year.

The band of songwriters reflects on their musical influences as nostalgic third single,
“Song For Another Time,” nears Top 10

With ACM, Music Row, ACCA and AIMP Awards already awarded, and two CMA nominations for the upcoming 50th CMA Awards in November in both the Vocal Group of the Year and Best New Artist categories, today Old Dominion earned their first American Music Awards nomination for Favorite Duo or Group – Country.

"Being nominated for an American Music Award somehow makes it seem like there are more people that know about us than we think," said Old Dominion's lead singer, Matthew Ramsey. "The groups we are nominated alongside are huge acts with a lot of fans outside of the country market. To be named in the same sentence as them really shines a light on the growth we've seen over the past year. We are beyond proud!"

The road-built band is currently headlining their 2016 Meat and Candy Fall Tour with upcoming stops in New York (Playstation Theater, Oct. 22), Chicago (Joe’s Live Rosemont, Nov. 22-23), Los Angeles (The Novo by Microsoft, Dec. 3) and more.

Their third single at Country radio, “Song For Another Time,” which People calls, “their most charming, and certainly their most unique [single], yet,” is the follow up to the Platinum chart-topper “Break Up With Him” and their catchy singalong, “Snapback.” The song focuses on a couple who knows their relationship is coming to an end, but wants to celebrate one last good moment with one another – strung together by song titles that span the genres. “Song For Another Time,” a single Billboard suggests “may have emerged at the perfect moment” is nearing the Top 10 with no signs of slowing down.

In celebration of the song’s success, Old Dominion invited Rolling Stone cameras to the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum to tour the artists who influenced not only “Song For Another Time,” but all five members of Old Dominion individually and collectively; watch here: http://rol.st/2e0Ak6Z

STORM SLAMS OLD DOMINION'S STAGE, BUT DOESN'T DAMPEN SHOWMANSHIP

Band incorporated whatever gear and instruments not damaged by torrential rain to deliver free show for Virginia Beach fans following wrecking winds and destruction to stage

Virginia Beach's 31st Street Stage wrecked by storm

With 75mph wind gusts ripping the light truss from the lip of the shed at Neptune Park's 31st Street Stage in Virginia Beach Wednesday night, it appeared ACM-winning band Old Dominion's return to their namesake and home state would be rescheduled or at least postponed to a later date due to damages, but Old Dominion -- band and crew -- proved to be a force of nature themselves. Taking the stage only 90 minutes behind schedule after resetting and securing the stage, Old Dominion members Matthew Ramsey, Brad Tursi, Trevor Rosen, Geoff Sprung and Whitt Sellers welcomed the droves of fans lining the tousled bike railing into the park for a free stripped performance that included their two-week No. 1 "Break Up With Him," "Snapback" and current single "Song For Another Time" from their debut album Meat And Candy, along with several of the hits they've written for other artists.

Old Dominion plays free acoustic concert for fans after storm

Stripped-down acoustic arrangements and minimal lighting spotlighted the hit songwriting, tight arrangements and camaraderie of the RCA Nashville band NPR calls “very clever” with "first-rate craftsmanship," Entertainment Weekly  dubs, “deceptively smart” and “infectious," and Vice raves is “on the cusp of superstardom."

The band will assess the ultimate damage to their touring equipment tomorrow before their headlining show at Wilmington, N.C.'s Greenfield Lake Amphitheater before joining Kenny Chesney at East Rutherford's MetLife Stadium on Saturday, Aug. 20.

Fans can also catch Old Dominion on ABC's Good Morning America on Monday, Aug. 22.

VEVO PREMIERES BRAND NEW OLD DOMINION VIDEO, "SONG FOR ANOTHER TIME"

OLD DOMINION'S MUSIC VIDEO FOR "SONG FOR ANOTHER TIME" INCORPORATES NEVER-BEFORE-SEEN THROWBACK HOME VIDEOS

VEVO premieres "Song For Another Time" Music Video as Single Climbs Charts

Every journey begins with a first step, and for the critically-acclaimed, award-winning band Old Dominion, those first few thousand strides were spent playing non-stop across the country, years before ever receiving recognition from Music Row. It’s those performances, and the moments in-between, that the band credits for preparing them for the onset of their recent success, however instead of dismissing their past, the five-member band consisting of Matthew Ramsey, Trevor Rosen, Geoff Sprung, Brad Tursi and Whit Sellers have chosen to put a spotlight on those nostalgic moments via never-before-seen clips in their latest music video. Beyond just highlighting the vast influences along their musical journey, “Song For Another Time,” their latest from Meat And Candy, takes a retrospective approach to the music video for their single that artistically combines home video footage from each member’s childhood, along with photos and videos from defining moments in the band’s emerging career.

"When we were writing this song - it was all about seeing the end of the road ahead," said lead singer Matthew Ramsey. "It was about two people realizing their love isn't going to be enough and the need to hold on to those last few moments. Music plays such a huge role in everyone's life, especially in relationships. We felt like it would add much more weight to the story if we told it using the titles of songs that are timeless somehow.  But when it came time to make the video, we realized we had an opportunity to show people a little of our history as a band. We had family and friends that supported us way back that pitched in when digging up old footage and sending it in. The journey our music has taken us on sometimes doesn't seem real. But watching this video proves that it is real beyond what we ever imagined. We are very proud."

Ramsey co-wrote the single alongside Old Dominion’s Rosen and Tursi and frequent collaborator, Matt Jenkins (co-writer on “Half Empty,” “Wrong Turns” and “Nowhere Fast” from Meat And Candy).

Old Dominion unveiled their music video for “Song For Another Time” today across all VEVO platforms. The music video again sees them collaborating with Director Steve (“Break Up With Him” and “Snapback”) for the song NPR calls “an anthemic number that name-checks generations of popular odes to getting caught up in the moment; it's a songbook populated by Neil Diamond and Tom Petty, Van Morrison and John Mellencamp, George Strait and Katy Perry,” adding, “that's the lineage Old Dominion wants to claim.”

2015 was an incredible year for Old Dominion, full of firsts for the band, and 2016 is shaping up to be another momentous year. This year, RCA Nashville’s band has received accolades including ACM Breakthrough Duo/Group of the Year, AIMP Songwriter/Artist of the Year, Music Row Breakthrough Artist of the Year and ACCA New Duo/Group of the Year. Their debut single and two-week No. 1, “Break Up With Him” is RIAA Platinum-certified and their follow-up hit, “Snapback” is RIAA Gold-certified. Fans can currently catch Old Dominion on tour this summer with Kenny Chesney on the Spread The Love Tour.

OLD DOMINION’S MEAT AND CANDY CONTINUES TO FEED THE COUNTRY MUSIC FAN’S SOUL

ACM Best New Vocal Duo/Group of the Year and AIMP Breakthrough of the Year winners now 2016 ACCA Breakthrough Group/Duo of the Year Victors

Second Single “Snapback” Top 5-and-Climbing

The Press-Enterprise raved Old Dominion brought “fun summer vibes” and The Desert Sun noted Stagecoach-goers were “impressed by Old Dominion’s modern country” when the five-piece band made their debut on the Mane Stage at the 10th Anniversary of the festival May 1. But it was later that night that the enormity of the weekend sank in following a win for Breakthrough Group/Duo of the Year on the ACC Awards on FOX.

“When we started this band, winning awards never crossed our minds,” shares frontman Matthew Ramsey who, like his bandmates, have celebrated successes as songwriters before having hit records as a band. “We just wanted to make the best music we could. But winning this award really shows us that the years of work we have put into this are paying off in ways we never dreamed of. We owe so much to our families, our management team, our record label, country radio and our FANS for embracing what we do and making us feel at home in the country music family!”

The win follows on the heels of earlier 2016 award wins at the Academy of Country Music Awards for Best New Vocal Duo/Group of the Year and the Association of Independent Music Publisher Awards (AIMPs) last month for Artist/Writer of the Year. Additionally, Ramsey, Trevor Rosen and Brad Tursi all individually took home CMA Triple Play Awards presented to to
p songwriters who have penned more than three No. 1 hits within a one year period in the Country format.

With an estimated 160 dates on the books in 2016—and it being a lighter year than 2015—Old Dominion are already looking to their next studio album, taking advantage of a break in touring to again join GRAMMY-winning producer Shane McAnally, their co-conspirator on Meat and Candy, in the studio to work on their upcoming second album. Old Dominion’s Trevor Rosen shared with The Press-Enterprise, “We’re working on new music. We’re writing and working up some new stuff and we’ll hopefully start recording in the fall.”

The five-piece band, consisting of Ramsey, Rosen, Geoff Sprung, Brad Tursi, and Whit Sellers, which Rolling Stone Country notes is “building on the country-band blueprint set by the likes of Alabama and adding some fuzzy guitars, catchy licks and even a little rap that shoots for stadiums, not saloons” is on the road in 2016 on select headlining Meat and Candy Tour dates as well as direct support for Kenny Chesney on his Spread The Love Tour amphitheater, arena and shed dates as well as his stadium stops along with Miranda Lambert and Sam Hunt.

OLD DOMINION: “SONGWRITER-DRIVEN, ROAD-TESTED”

From 20 fans in 2014 to over 2,000+, Old Dominion graduates to new Chicago establishment with record-setting inaugural sell out benefitting ACM’s Lifting Lives

Credit: Michael Elins

Hits Magazine calls Old Dominion “songwriter-driven, road-tested,” and the two-time ACM nominated band is certainly living up to that moniker. Last night (March 1) they became the first act to sell out Chicago area’s new venue Joe’s Live in Rosemont, Ill. with tickets going clean over three weeks ahead of their performance. The new bar, located not even 15 miles northwest of the famed Joe’s on Weed Street where Old Dominion cut their teeth before adding multiple nights at the 945-capacity venue to satisfy fan demand, teamed up ACM Lifting Lives, the charitable arm of the Academy of Country Music, to donate $2 of every ticket totaling an unprecedented $4,600 to benefit the ACM Lifting Lives’ mission of improving lives through the power of music.

“Music has the power to heal, motivate, empower, unite, and improve lives, and tonight, all those things converge,” shared lead singer Matthew Ramsey before thanking the assembled fans for their contribution to such an incredible organization. “Chicago fans have supported us from the first time we played Joe’s on Weed in March 2014; I think I even recognize a few of you from that first night. We cannot thank you enough for helping us get to this point in our careers.”

Old Dominion, who is nominated for New Vocal Group/Duo of the Year as well as Vocal Group of the Year at the 51st ACM Awards, is currently watching their Top 15 single “Snapback” climb the charts at double the speed their two-week No. 1, “Break Up With Him,” raced to its peak. The single, whose new music video captures the very zeitgeist of today’s eclectic music lover and features professional skateboarder Leticia Bufoni, premiered earlier this week.

The five-piece band, consisting of Matthew Ramsey, Trevor Rosen, Geoff Sprung, Brad Tursi and Whit Sellers, which Rolling Stone Country notes is “building on the country-band blueprint set by the likes of Alabama and adding some fuzzy guitars, catchy licks and even a little rap that shoots for stadiums, not saloons” is headlining their Meat and Candy Tour, selling out shows throughout the country. On April 23, they will join Kenny Chesney on the road for his 2016 tour for the second year in a row.

OLD DOMINION'S ASCENSION CONTINUES WITH TWO ACM AWARD NODS INCLUDING VOCAL GROUP OF THE YEAR

Tune in tonight for Old Dominion’s late night debut on ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live -- performances of current rapid-climbing single "Snapback" and multi-week No. 1 "Break Up With Him" from Meat and Candy

Credit: Michael Elins

After a whirlwind year that included a critically-acclaimed album, multi-week No.1 debut single, a slot on Kenny Chesney’s The Big Revival Tour, and multiple solo tour stop sellouts, Old Dominion receives two nominations for the 51st Academy of Country Music Awards: New Vocal Group/Duo of the Year and Vocal Group of the Year.
"As songwriters, we started playing together so our songs would be heard and people would hopefully want to cut them," says now four-time No. 1 hit maker and lead singer Matthew Ramsey. "So to know that as a band we have been honored by receiving this type of recognition has us all feeling incredibly grateful and truthfully, a little speechless."

The two nominations are Old Dominion's first. The band will have another first tonight when they make their late night debut on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live, Feb. 1 at 10:35 p.m. CT / 11:35 p.m. ET. They are set to perform two tracks from their album Meat and Candy, including their smash debut single “Break Up With Him” and “Snapback,” their current single that is soaring up the charts – at No. 20 and 21, on Billboard and Mediabase respectively,  in only its first month at Country radio.

Old Dominion is continuing to gain momentum with their do-it-yourself approach. From writing and recording every song they release to performing their own hits live, they are earning their name as "one of country music's few current, self-contained bands," as NPR recently declared.

Fans can catch Old Dominion on their headlining Meat and Candy Tour that has already claimed sellouts in 15 markets across the U.S. With upcoming performances at Country Radio Seminar’s highly-regarded New Faces Show and a stop in London, UK at the C2C after party, Old Dominion will have a busy 2016 before they join Kenny Chesney for the second straight summer along with Miranda Lambert and Sam Hunt.

The Academy of Country Music Awards will be broadcast live from Las Vegas, Nev. on Sunday, April 3 on CBS.

#VIDEOPREMIERE - OLD DOMINION’S MUSIC VIDEO FOR “BREAK UP WITH HIM” AVAILABLE NOW ON CMT

Old Dominion's music video for their single “Break Up With Him” is out NOW via CMT and on demand across all CMT digital platforms including OldDominion.CMT.com, CMT Pure and the CMT Artists app.

The thematic music video was shot in Nashville, TN during the annual CMA Music Festival in June and was directed by the aptly titled, Director Steve.

Old Dominion is currently in the studio putting the finishing touches on their debut album set to release via RCA Records Nashville late 2015. The untitled album comes on the heels of the gut-punch self-titled EP, which Rolling Stone Country says is dashed with “fuzzy guitars, catchy licks and even a little rap” and features the back porch smack of the undeniable first radio single “Break Up With Him” and the bruising “Shut Me Up,” and is the product of the five-piece band, which includes singer Matthew Ramsey, lead guitarist Brad Tursi, multi-instrumentalist Trevor Rosen, bassist Geoff Sprung and drummer Whit Sellers. They’ve spent eight years honing their craft, each making a name for themselves in Nashville by penning songs for the likes of Kenny Chesney, Keith Urban, Luke Bryan, The Band Perry, Dierks Bentley and Tyler Farr. Now the band that The Tennessean describes as “a humble group of songwriters and musicians who earned their way in the music industry” is out on the road on Kenny Chesney’s The Big Revival Tour for 18 stadium performances plus over 170 tour dates of their own in 2015.

RCA NASHVILLE'S OLD DOMINION TAKES COUNTRY RADIO BY STORM

DEBUT SINGLE “BREAK UP WITH HIM” NO. 1 MOST ADDED SINGLE,
76 REPORTING STATIONS SPINNING THE SONG ACROSS AMERICA

Nashville, TN – RCA Nashville’s own, Old Dominion, has taken Country Radio and America by storm with their debut single “Break Up With Him.” This week Old Dominion’s first single was the No. 1 most added song at country radio with 42 new playlist “adds” and 76 first week reporting stations spinning the song by the band Rolling Stone Country, Billboard, Country Weekly and the Huffington Post agree are a “band to watch.”

The support that Country Radio has shown us out of the gate like this is unreal,” says Old Dominion. “We are so proud of this song and the entire team of people who are working with us. We can't wait to see where this will take us!”

“What a great start to BREAK UP WITH HIM! It really shows the excitement Country Radio has for this song AND this band,” announces RCA’s Senior VP/National Promotion, Keith Gale. “We appreciate all of our partners at Country Radio who were a part of this historic start to Old Dominion's first single for RCA.”

Clint Higham with Morris Higham Management, Old Dominion’s artist management adds “It's so wonderful to see when good people win. Old Dominion possess all the qualities of amazing musicians, artists, writers and performers, but they are even better human beings and I speak on behalf of everyone involved on the team that they make it exciting to come to work every day . We are thankful to our friends and partners at country radio who are seeing it too and seeing the fans embrace the music.”

“Break Up With Him” was written by all five band members; lead singer Matthew Ramsey, multi-instrumentalist Trevor Rosen, drummer Whit Sellers, bassist Geoff Sprung and lead guitarist Brad Tursi, making the first song that the band has written together as a collective group.

It is also of note that the Old Dominion band members have other songs on the radio charts currently that they’ve written, including Blake Shelton’s “Sangria,” Tyler Farr’s “A Guy Walks Into A Bar,” and the recent Dierks Bentley hit “Say You Do.” In addition to the hit songs currently/recently on the charts, Old Dominion band members also wrote “Better Dig Two” and “Chainsaw” (The Band Perry), “Come Back To Me” (Keith Urban), “Wake Up Loving You” (Craig Morgan) and “Save It For A Rainy Day” (Kenny Chesney) to name a few.

Old Dominion has toured together for over 8 years and show no signs of stopping. Currently, not including solo headlining shows, they’ve joined Kenny Chesney for a run of 18 stadium tour dates on The Big Revival Tour to take the band through August.

With the amount of time Old Dominion spends on the road it was no wonder that “Break Up With Him” was penned there as well. With the beginning melody of “Break Up With Him” being laid down one day at a sound check, lyrics coming together in the band’s van and then being finished in a cabin down in Texas, Old Dominion proves they know how to write and perform.

Fans can find out more and stay up-to-date on both by visiting Old Dominion’s website, following them on Facebook or Twitter (@OldDominion).

YOU ASKED FOR IT: OLD DOMINION RUSHES SINGLE OUT TO MEET FAN, RADIO INTEREST

Nashville quintet releases "Break Up With Him" after huge response from fans, key stations; returns to No.1 on SiriusXM’s "The Highway Hot 45 Countdown"

PRESS RELEASE

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- (Jan. 20, 2015) – Old Dominion is turning the system upside down with the release of their new single “Break Up With Him.”

Things are done a certain way in Nashville. Singles are usually chosen in boardrooms with executives checking off must haves and statistics. Old Dominion is circumventing that system this time around, releasing a single based on fan -- and program director -- demand.

Break Up With Him” is being rush released after early success at satellite and terrestrial radio as an “album cut” from Old Dominion’s self-titled 2014 EP. The song reached No. 1 on SiriusXM's "The Highway’s Hot 45 Countdown" in December and returned to the No.1 spot on the countdown this week. It was added at country radio stations in Seattle, Phoenix, Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Nashville, Chattanooga and Salt Lake City due to fan demand at live shows and through social media.

"I've never done this before: Hear a song that's not a single and just go put it on the air and pound it,” says Ed Hill, Program Director at CBS Radio's KMPS in Seattle. And SiriusXM’s John Marks says, “The song is truly a breakout hit."

A mix of rock, country and blues with a bit of hip-hop vibe thrown in, “Break Up With Him” was written with contributions from every band member and captures the Nashville quintet’s rakish charm and already accomplished songwriting craft. The rising country act has already scored songwriting credits with many of the genre’s top stars, including Luke Bryan, Kenny Chesney, Keith Urban and its EP impressed critics, who are now paying close attention.

Rolling Stone Country called Old Dominion a country artist you need to know; Billboard and The Huffington Post put the group on their 2015 watch lists, and Bobby Bones named Old Dominion one of “Ten Artists of 2015 You’ll Thank Bobby for Later.” The group also landed an opening gig on Kenny Chesney’s The Big Revival Tour -- marking the band as the first independent act to ever be part of a stadium tour. All this new attention helped push “Break Up With Him” to sales of more than 4,000 digital downloads per week since the holiday period began.

Hill first heard the song on the radio while visiting California. He was driving down the road with three generations of family members in the car. “And they all say, ‘Who is that?’ I am asking the same thing. I get back to Seattle and start playing it and every listener is asking, ‘Who is that?’ That is Old Dominion. I can sing the hook myself and groove. The hook grabs you. I sing it over and over – ‘I know you're not in love with him/Break up with him.’ Over and over means smash single.”

And Ed Hill isn’t the only one who feels this way; iHeartMedia Pheonix VP of Programming, Steve Geoffries, is a firm believer – stating, “Old Dominion will be THE breakout act/artist of 2015.”

The EP is available for purchase on iTunes here.

The EP includes the hot current single “Shut Me Up” that Taste of Country recently called “the perfect song to end the summer” as well as “a song that's pure country rock with the perfect hint of an infectious pop hit.” You can also find fan-favorites “Break Up With Him” and the “charming” (Roughstock) tune “Beer Can In A Truck Bed.”

Old Dominion kicked off their release date by chatting with SiriusXM friend Storme Warren on the The Highway’s The Drive this morning (Oct. 7). “Shut Me Up” has received great feedback on The Highway and can also be heard on ABC’s hit show Nashville Wednesday, Oct. 8 at 9 p.m. CT / 10 ET.

This fall, Old Dominion will join Chase Rice on select dates for his Ignite the Night Tour, bringing their original songs and well-known hits to fans new and old. Between tour dates, you can catch the group in Nashville at the Grand Ole Opry onOct. 14 as well as at their headlining show at Mercy Lounge on Nov. 19.

“Shut Me Up” Debuts on Hot Country Countdown; Single Available at Digital Retail

PRESS RELEASE

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – July 1, 2014 – Old Dominion may not yet be a household name, but its members are behind many of the songs we hear in country music today. Comprised of Matthew Ramsey, Trevor Rosen, Whit Sellers, Geoff Sprung and Brad Tursi, during the past 10 years of writing and honing their sound as a band, a number of their songs have been recorded and released by an impressive list that includes The Band Perry, Dierks Bentley, Luke Bryan, Craig Morgan, Jake Owen, Keith Urban, Chris Young. And while it has been nice to experience radio success as songwriters, the band has their scope unwaveringly aimed at delivering their music personally to the people—a dream that is fast becoming reality.

That swagger, combined with an electrifying live show can be seen at fairs and festivals this summer including Faster Horses Festival, Oregon Jamboree, and headlining New Mexico State Fair. Having made their Grand Ole Opry debut earlier this year, Old Dominion will also be returning to the Opry stage on Wednesday, July 9.

“Shut Me Up” is now available on iTunes, and for more information, please visit www.olddominionband.com or follow them on Facebook at @OldDominionBand, on Twitter @OldDominion and Instagram @OldDominionMusic.
