'PICKLER AND BEN' NOMINATED FOR THREE DAYTIME EMMY AWARDS IN FIRST SEASON

The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) announced that daytime talk show newcomer "Pickler & Ben" has been nominated for three Daytime Emmy Awards.

Hosts Kellie Pickler and Ben Aaron are nominated for Outstanding Informative Talk Show Hosts; set hairstylist Debbie Dover Hall is nominated for Outstanding Hairstyling; and show Director Joe Terry and Associate Director Wesley MacMillan are nominated forOutstanding Directing in a Talk Show/Entertainment News/Morning Program. The 45th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards will be held at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium on Sunday, April 29, 2018, and hosted by Mario Lopez and Sheryl Underwood.

"We are so honored to be amongst such incredible talent in this category. There's no way we are beating Steve Harvey," said Ben Aaron.

Disney/ABC Home Entertainment and Television Distribution is distributing the show in national syndication and has so far cleared 125 markets for the second season, adding more every day.

"I am so happy for all our nominees and couldn't be more thrilled for Kellie, Ben, Joe, Wes and Debbie," said Executive Producer and Happy Street Entertainment Co-Founder Lisa Erspamer. "To get a show off the ground is no easy feat, but getting these nominations in our freshman year is a testament to everyone involved with the show, both in front of and behind the cameras."

Recorded in front of a live studio audience, "Pickler & Ben" features the best in lifestyle and entertainment. In its first season, which debuted in September 2017, "Pickler & Ben" has featured a roster of celebrity guests including Dolly Parton, Faith Hill, Tim McGraw, Little Big Town, Molly Sims, Christian Siriano, Cat Cora, Reba McEntire, Duff Goldman, Ty Pennington and more. The show has been renewed for a second season.

KELLIE PICKLER SWINGS BY LOS ANGELES FOR "PICKLER AND BEN" PRESS TOUR ... AND GETS SCARED BY ELLEN


Country music star and co-host of “Pickler & Ben,” Kellie Pickler wrapped up a whirlwind Los Angeles press tour this week to promote the freshman talk-show, which was recently picked up for its second season.

She began the week on Tuesday, February 20th with an appearance on “Ellen” where she was scared by “Faith Hill.”



On Wednesday, she headed over to E!’s “Daily Pop” for a chat about her upcoming birthday and her favorite things about hosting the first talk show based out of Nashville. After which, she visited CNN for a live interview on HLN’s “MichaeLA.”  Kellie and Michaela Pereira talked about the show and Kellie’s three USO Tours.  At “ET Online,” Kellie and Sophie Schillaci talked about her most recent single and played a game about country slang terms.

Thursday, the day began with a visit to “Access Live” where she spoke with hosts Kit Hoover and Scott Evans about the instant chemistry she and co-host Ben Aaron had from their very first meeting.  Next she headed to “Perez Hilton,” who expressed how much he’d like to appear on “Pickler & Ben.”  After a wild visit with “Extra” amid the crowds of Universal CityWalk, Kellie wrapped up her press tour at “Steve Harvey” where she shared her passion for extreme sports, including sky diving for a segment to air on February 26th.

"PICKLER AND BEN" RENEWED FOR SEASON TWO

The E.W. Scripps Company (NYSE: SSP) has greenlit a second season for “Pickler & Ben,” its Nashville-based daytime talker hosted by country music star Kellie Pickler and Emmy Award-winning television personality Ben Aaron.

Recorded in front of a live studio audience, “Pickler & Ben” features the best in lifestyle and entertainment. In its first season, which debuted Sept. 18, 2017, “Pickler & Ben” has featured a roster of celebrity guests including Dolly Parton, Faith Hill, Tim McGraw, Little Big Town, Molly Sims, Christian Siriano, Cat Cora, Reba McEntire, Duff Goldman, Ty Pennington and more.

“Kellie and Ben are a breath of fresh air in the daytime space, and audiences have loved watching them bring this fun, dynamic show to life,” said Cater Lee, vice president of programming for Scripps. “The creators’ vision that a show originating from Middle America would appeal to viewers everywhere was spot on, and we are seeing that in just a few months it is already outperforming many long-established talk shows in key demos and on social media. I am delighted that we are recommitting for a second season.”
