#COUNTRYGIVESBACK - CHUCK WICKS' "VOICES FOR VALOR" EVENT RAISES OVER $25,000 TO SUPPORT THE SPECIAL FORCES CHARITABLE TRUST'

Chuck Wicks' “Voices For Valor” event raised a record-breaking $25,000 for Special Forces Charitable Trust during the event held last night, Wednesday, June 7, 2022, at the historic Woolworth Theatre.

The event, hosted by Wicks, featured RaeLynn, Logan Crosby, Laura Osnes, Bethany Joy, and a surprise appearances from Red Marlow, a finalist on NBC's The Voice.

As a devoted advocate of the SFCT's cause, Chuck Wicks passionately shared, "I've seen first hand how Special Forces Charitable Trust can help our Green Berets and their families from the numerous programs they have put together that specifically target what these brave men/women may need help with after being at war or being apart from loved ones for so long. This evening was just one way we can fight for them and show them that we appreciate all they do and care for the sacrifices they make for all of us and this country."

The event served as a way to raise awareness and funds for the SFCT, a renowned 501(c)(3) charity that provides crucial support to the Green Berets and their families. This remarkable organization implements innovative and comprehensive programs designed to enhance the well-being and health of Special Forces Soldiers and their loved ones.

“Voices for Valor,” coinciding with CMA Fest, provides an exceptional opportunity for country music enthusiasts to come together and support the brave Green Berets and their families.

One week before its official release, breakout country star RAELYNN’s debut album WILDHORSE is already running free, streaming exclusively and in its entirety as an NPR First Listen today (3/16).

Set for arrival on March 24, WILDHORSE (Warner Bros. Records/Warner Music Nashville) tells the story of the young artist’s life following her time on NBC’s The Voice, four years that have seen her move to Nashville, release hit songs like “God Made Girls,” and get married. Produced by Jimmy Robbins and Nicolle Galyon, RaeLynn co-wrote 11 of the album’s 12 tracks, including the powerful first single, “Love Triangle,” a divorce ballad told from the point of view of a little girl.

Showing a strong connection with young and old alike, “Love Triangle” is currently climbing the Country radio charts and gathering millions of online streams.

Meanwhile, the fun-loving singer-songwriter is also celebrating her inclusion in a new exhibit at the COUNTRY MUSIC HALL OF FAME AND MUSEUM. Opening Friday (3/17), AMERICAN CURRENTS (THE MUSIC OF 2016) is a collection of items from select artists who are making country music history every day.

Describing her inclusion as the highest of honors, the dress and accessories RaeLynn wore during her 2014 Grand Ole Opry debut are displayed alongside a stage outfit that belonged to the great Tammy Wynette. The American Currents exhibit runs through 2017.

On Saturday (3/18), RaeLynn and Blake Shelton will wrap the DOING IT TO COUNTRY SONGS TOUR in Omaha, Nebraska, and on April 20 she will begin her first-ever headlining tour. Kicking off in Columbus, Ohio, the RaVe TOUR will give country fans a concert experience like they’ve never had before, combining a Radio Disney curated pre-party, full performance from RaeLynn and a glitter-filled dance party with a live DJ after the show.

SINGLE REVIEW: "LIKE A BOY" - RAELYNN

SINGLE: "For A Boy"
ARTIST: Raelynn
REVIEWER: Maria Talamo
Follow Maria on Twitter at @Maria_Talamo

Click here to purchase "Like a Boy" on iTunes

Republic Nashville recording artist RaeLynn has come a long way after being eliminated in the quarterfinals of season two on The Voice. Her fist single "God Made Girls" was certified Gold by the RIAA and has sold over 472,000 copies. She has now released her follow-up single "For A Boy" which will be hitting the radio March 23.

"For A Boy" is a powerful song about life and the love and some of the risks that are associated with letting your guard down and leaving yourself vulnerable when it comes to relationships. RaeLynn recently states that that the idea for the song came about after a dinner date with this guy that was super transparent and wore his heart on his sleeve rather than putting on the typical macho man act.
This song has the upbeat tempo that we have previously seen from her first single as well as her signature country sound. I'll be completely honest, the first time I ever heard RaeLynn I was not a fan at all, but the more I heard her songs the more she grew on me. She has definitely won me over.

Although "For A Boy" was not released on her five song EP titled "Me" you will be able to find it on her full album which is expected to be released in the fall. For more information on RaeLynn you can visit her website at www.raelynnofficial.net and follow her on Twitter at @RaelynnOfficial

When Steve Holy’s breakout smash, “Good Morning Beautiful,” stood atop the country charts for five straight weeks in 2002, it sparked a fire that has continued to smolder throughout his decade-long career. Holy has shown unyielding tenacity and persistence since his first big break in 1993, when he beat out 500 hopefuls in the Dallas-Fort Worth area Johnnie High Country Review, the same contest that launched the career of LeAnn Rimes. After his break in Dallas, he signed with Curb Records. Three years later, in 2000, he released his debut album, Blue Moon. For the past two years, Steve has taken time off to return to his hometown of Dallas and spend time with his two young daughters. The time has come though, as Holy is once again touring relentlessly and climbing the charts with his top 20 single, “Love Don’t Run” and current hit “Hauled Off And Kissed Me.”

RaeLynn from The Voice

RaeLynn blew the judges away with her rendition of “Hell on Heels” by the Pistol Annies at the blind auditions for the Voice. RaeLynn chose Blake Shelton as her coach. She continued to gain national attention and support with her twangy voice, bad ass country – rock performances, great fashion sense, and adorable personality.

Dylan Scott started his career by winning two major music competitions--the final for the Colgate Country Music Showdown in his native Louisiana, and in 2009, the Neal McCoy East Texas Angel Network Talent contest. Now the multi-talented Sidewalk Records Artist is poised to become a major star with his new self-titled CD, Dylan Scott produced by Music City legend, Jim Ed Norman. Dylan’s signature style launches with the debut single, “Makin’ This Boy
Go Crazy,” arriving on the country music radio scene right now!

VIDEO: Adley Stump Watching Her "The Voice" Blind Audition

Looks like "The Voice" has turned into "Team Nashville" this season with so many great artists representing country music - Karla Davis, Adley Stump, RaeLynn, The Line, Nicolle Galyon, and Gwen Sebastian.

No matter which artist's team they're on, they're "Team Country" or "Team Nashville". Here's one of our favorites, Adley Stump, who became the last member to round out "Team Blake" on last night's episode, watching her blind audition for the first time with her friends and family. If you love any of these, regardless of whose team they're on, keep supporting because they're all representing the love of country music and they all represent the best of those who auditioned.
