Country Music Hall of Fame Member Kicks-off Last Season of Live Concerts on March 16

Country Music Hall of Fame member Ray Stevens today announced his final run of live concerts at his West Nashville CabaRay Showroom. The legendary singer-songwriter will be performing shows beginning March 16 and plans to continue through December of this year

Since opening CabaRay six years ago, Stevens has performed hundreds of concerts at the CabaRay. Now, as he approaches age 85, Stevens says he is ready to slow down a bit. But not quite retire.

"I plan to stop performing regularly at my CabaRay Showroom here in Nashville at the end of 2024, but I'll be going to work everyday in my recording studio and maybe I'll do a few, a very few, shows in some old familiar places,” he explains. "I'm definitely slowing down but I haven't come to a complete stop. Not yet, anyway!”

Ahead of his formal season of shows, Stevens will also perform a special Valentine's Day live concert on February 14.

Tickets for Stevens' last run of concerts at CabaRay are on-sale now and can be purchased online at raystevenscabaray.com or by calling 615-327-4630.

Country Music Hall of Fame member Ray Stevens has announced the reopening of his West Nashville showroom, CabaRay. Country music's legendary funnyman will resume live concerts at the entertainment venue on Thursday, October 1.

Due to the spread of COVID-19, a government-mandated shutdown forced CabaRay to close its doors earlier this year. After six months, Stevens is thrilled to return to the stage. "We are reopening CabaRay on October 1," he says. "We're excited to be able to get back to playing music, singing, laughing and having fun, all at a CDC-approved social distance of course!"

CabaRay will reopen with a limited capacity of 125 concertgoers with socially-distanced tables setup throughout the venue. During the initial reopening phase, dinner will not be available but Stevens plans to offer guests snacks, drinks and desserts.

Concerts will be held every Thursday and Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. / CT.

Tickets are available for purchase via phone at 615-327-4630. CabaRay is located at 5724 River Road. For more information, visit raystevenscabaray.com.

During the shutdown, Stevens kept his trademark humor intact with the release of "The Quarantine Song." The tune originally debuted on RFD-TV’s Larry's Country Diner and was later uploaded to the internet. To date, the video has surpassed one million views on YouTube and currently boasts more than 6.9 million views on Facebook— totaling an audience of nearly eight million.

RAY STEVENS REACHES 7.5 MILLION+ WITH VIRAL HIT, "THE QUARANTINE SONG"

Video Attracts Worldwide Audience on Facebook and YouTube

Country Music Hall of Fame member Ray Stevens has once again "broken the internet." In May, Stevens, who is known worldwide for his classic southern-style comedy music, debuted his latest tune, “The Quarantine Song," on RFD-TV’s Larry’s Country Diner. Following the airing, the video went live on the internet and quickly caught fire. “The Quarantine Song” just surpassed one million views on YouTube and currently boasts 6.8 million views on Facebook— totaling an audience of more than 7.5 million.

“Who'd a thunk it!" exclaimed Stevens upon hearing the news of the video's online success.

On “The Quarantine Song” video, a mask and glove-clad Stevens highlights the daily struggles of living through the era of COVID-19.

"I avoid old folks and should I sneeze, I do it in my elbow, or up my sleeve," sings Stevens. "Six feet apart, that is the rule, and I pray for the day the kids can go back to school. I'm washing my hands like a raccoon with OCD. I’ve watched Hulu, Roku, Netflix, PBS and BBC!"

“The Quarantine Song” was written by longtime Stevens pal Buddy Kalb and Nashville songwriter Joe Babcock.
