RHONDA VINCENT RELEASES NEW SINGLE AND VIDEO - "PLEASE MR. PLEASE"

Stream / Download "Please Mr. Please" Here

The queen of bluegrass, Rhonda Vincent, is back with a new single and video, "Please Mr. Please."

Rhonda says "I was working on the song ‘Four Strong Winds’ from our upcoming “destinations” themed album and as I turned from working on that song, all of a sudden, out of nowhere, I started singing ‘Please Mr Please,’ smiles Vincent. “There was something similar in the songs. My heart started to race and I instantly thought, ‘This will be a great bluegrass song!’ I couldn't wait to tell the guys in The Rage. When I mentioned it, none of them had heard the song before. This made it even better. I found so many people have never heard of the song and it's like having my own original bluegrass song. We rehearsed it at sound check and then started performing it on our shows. I could instantly tell this song was special with everyone’s reactions, with many singing along, and best of all, people are now asking for it everywhere. I love that!"

"Rhonda Vincent is truly the people's bluegrass queen! It's hard not to have as much fun as she clearly does, seeing how meaningful it is when she's surrounded by her musical community. Rhonda is effortlessly country and quintessentially bluegrass – and these qualities are on full display with 'Please Mr. Please.'"

BILLY GILMAN TEAMS WITH RHONDA VINCENT ON NEW SINGLE "THAT'S BLUEGRASS TO ME" - OUT NOW!

Listen HERE

Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter Billy Gilman is excited to release his original new single, “That’s Bluegrass To Me” featuring Rhonda Vincent. Available today, the song is an anthem for the ages that pays homage to some of the most iconic singers, venues and festivals in the genre’s esteemed history.

"I wanted to write a song that is a tribute to Bluegrass music and our heritage as a genre, and one that also showcases how widespread and diverse the Bluegrass audience is these days - from New York to California to North Carolina and everywhere in between,” says Billy Gilman. “And I thought that a Bluegrass anthem would be even more complete if it had the Queen of Bluegrass singing on it, so I played it for Rhonda Vincent and she really liked the song and blessed me by agreeing to record it with me. What an honor that is!"

“That’s Bluegrass To Me” was co-written by Gilman alongside frequent collaborators Dan Murph and Philip Douglas. This single resonates with powerful vocals of both Vincent and Gilman, paying tribute to legends such as the Osborne Brothers and Bill Monroe. The song further enriches the Bluegrass experience by referencing cultural landmarks and festivals, including The Station Inn in Nashville, Sonny's Bar in New York City, the Grand Ole Opry, Huck Finn Jubilee, and Telluride Bluegrass Festival. The studio recording also includes instrumentation from world-class band, The Rage. The dynamic pair first performed the song together last summer during Vincent’s sold-out Ryman show.

The previous single, “Delta Queen” was released last fall and went on to become the Rhode Island native’s highest charting Bluegrass single to date. It climbed all the way to No. 2 on the Bluegrass Today Weekly Airplay Chart, following the success of the lead single “Roller Coaster.” The latter is the title-track to the upcoming full-length Bluegrass project coming later this year via Pinecastle Records (release date TBD). Gilman is planning on making 2024 a year to remember, with even more great music on deck to come.

Success started early for Gilman, who experienced a meteoric rise with his debut single “One Voice” in 2000. He went on to gain sales exceeding 10 million units, which led to a Grammy nomination, and helped him break the record for the youngest artist to hit No. 1 on Billboard’s “Top Country Albums Chart.” Throughout the duration of his career, Bluegrass has always been a passion. Growing up, Billy would sit around and listen to the genre with his grandparents, with hopes of one day recording a Bluegrass project. That inspiration is on full display with “That’s Bluegrass To Me” where it mentions a Grandmother sitting on the porch listening to Bluegrass music. The upcoming Roller Coaster album marks Gilman’s first full-length collection after coming in second place on season 11 of NBC’s The Voice in late 2016.

RHONDA VINCENT RETURNS FROM SUCCESSFUL INTERNATIONAL TOUR

Continues Extensive North American Fall Tour

The International “Queen of Bluegrass” returns from a week of traveling abroad. Rhonda Vincent kept a jet-setting pace, flying from New York City to Dublin, Prague, and Zurich, before returning on Sunday.

The All American Bluegrass Girl, along with the Most Award Winning Band in Bluegrass Music History, “The Rage” performed amongst the breathtaking beauty of Prague, Czech Republic and Gstaad, Switzerland.

“The response was overwhelming,” Rhonda stated. “It is such an amazing feeling to know our music transcends beyond borders, languages, and cultures. Music is a universal language, and we certainly felt the love by the ovations received after every song. It was equivalent to a finale ending after every solo, and at the ending of each song. What an exhilarating experience to feel such response to our music!”

The first performance of this International Tour was in Prague, Czech Republic at the historic Rudolfinum, it is the current home to the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra. Rhonda Vincent & The Rage are the first artists to perform bluegrass music at the Rudolfinum. Known for its excellent acoustics, this historic hall was the perfect setting for their pure form of acoustic music in tandem with the incredible architecture of Prague. www.rudolfinum.cz

On Friday and Saturday, Rhonda Vincent set another historic landmark, being one of the few who have made triple performances at the most prestigious country music festival in Switzerland “Country Night Gstaad.” The festival is an annual event, spanning over 20 years, and hosted by entrepreneur Marcel Bach in the beauty of the Swiss Alps. Rhonda first performed at the Country Night Gstaad in 1997 with a country music band; next in 2007 with The Rage; and her third appearance another 10 years later in 2017 along with country music newbie Mo Pitney and the multi-charting Mark Chesnutt. Rhonda Vincent & The Rage stole the night with their energetic performance. After an uproarious, demanding ovation, Rhonda returned to the stage with only her guitar to deliver what many felt was their favorite part of the night. She gave a solo performance of the title song, which she wrote from the #1 CD with Daryle Singletary, “American Grandstand.” In addition to their nightly performances, Rhonda & The Rage did a special meet and greet with fans who traveled from all parts of Europe, which included Slovakia, Italy, France, and Spain. On Saturday afternoon, they even hosted a special impromptu jam session at their sponsor booth D’Addario.

"We love getting involved in every aspect of a festival,” Rhonda explains. "It’s more than just coming to a concert. We love getting to visit with our friends, and meeting new friends. With Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat, we can stay in touch well beyond the show. It’s important that I can shake each person’s hand, and look them in the eye to really make a connection you cannot make from the stage. They are lifelong friendships. We bring our heart and soul to every venue, and this is displayed in the amazing love we are shown in return.”

Beyond their performances, they were treated to luxury accommodations at The Alpina Gstaad. The Alpina Hotel is on the registry as one of the Best Hotels in the World! A 5-star hotel, nestled in the mountains of Gstaad Switzerland, and its features are nothing short of exquisite! Every aspect has been carefully selected, from the room design to restaurants, pools, and spa.

“Thank you Marcel and your entire staff for a once-in-a-lifetime experience!” Rhonda shares. “We love Country Night Gstaad, and staying at The Alpina was a most amazing addition to this already awesome festival.”

Although they are still soaring from their International experiences, this week finds Rhonda & The Rage at the Dumplin Valley Bluegrass Festival in Kodak, TN, Starvy Creek Bluegrass Festival in Conway, MO, and Pickin’ In The Pines Festival in Flagstaff, AZ.

RHONDA VINCENT AND DARYLE SINGLETARY TEAM UP ON NEW DUETS ALBUM, "AMERICAN GRANDSTAND": EXCLUSIVE VIDEO

Album Features 12 Traditional Country Tracks Including Lead Single, “One”

Purchase "American Grandstand" here or at digital outlets such as iTunes.

Rhonda Vincent, who The Wall Street Journal dubbed “The New Queen of Bluegrass,” has teamed up with country music superstar Daryle Singletary for their newly released duets album, "American Grandstand" which was released today, July 7. The project delivers honest and real traditional country music with a unique American twist. This is a must have for any country music fan.

“I’ve always loved singing with Daryle Singletary. He’s one of the greatest singers in this generation of country music,” said Vincent. “It’s so fun to sing with someone who challenges me as a singer. The songs were given great thought, along with one that was totally unexpected. It’s one of the best projects I’ve ever been part of. I am so proud of this recording, and I cannot wait for the world to hear our wonderful creation, American Grandstand.”

The lead single, “One,” offers the very first taste of American Grandstand. The slow love song takes fans on a musical journey. The track may sound familiar, as it was previously made famous by country legends George Jones and Tammy Wynette, whose demanding vocal duets helped propel both acts to superstardom. Singletary and Vincent first performed “One” together at the legendary Grand Ole Opry at the Ryman Auditorium in April of 2016. Due to the overwhelming response, the dynamic pair chose to add the track to American Grandstand.

Standout songs include the title track, which was written by Vincent. When Vincent and Singletary were first trying to think of a title, American Grandstand stood out, which by definition is “to behave or speak in a way that is intended to impress people and to gain public approval.” This isn’t Vincent’s first venture into country music, as her previous Grammy-nominated studio album Only Me featured a combination of six traditional country songs and six bluegrass tracks, featuring “We Must Have Been Out of Our Minds,” which is also included on American Grandstand.

“Rhonda and I have been singing together since my first CD on Giant Records in 1994. I've been a fan of Rhonda's singing before that, but since then for sure and it's obvious as she has sung on most of my Indie records as a background vocalist or a duet partner,” said Daryle Singletary. “If you love traditional country music, and remember songs originally sung by well-known duet partners like George Jones and Tammy Wynette, Conway Twitty and Loretta Lynn, and Merle Haggard and Bonnie Owens, this is a must-have CD that we are extremely excited about.”

Listen below as Rhonda and Daryle discuss one of the songs on the album, "As We Kiss Our World Goodbye":

You can experience both Singletary and Vincent together as they play select shows later this year. The full tour schedule can be found here. Dates with Singletary will be noted as they are added.

RHONDA VINCENT SET TO RELEASE NEW ALBUM 'ONLY ME' THIS WEEK

Vincent duets with Willie Nelson on new project; set to appear on Today Show on February 1 & 2

PRESS RELEASE

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (January 27, 2014) – Rhonda Vincent – the fiery vocalist, multi-instrumentalist and songwriter dubbed “the new queen of bluegrass” by the Wall Street Journal – is set to release her new two-disc album Only Me on January 28, 2014. In addition to receiving an unprecedented seven consecutive “Female Vocalist of the Year” awards from the International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA), being named IBMA’s 2001 “Entertainer of the Year,” and being the co-author of the 2004 IBMA “Song of the Year,” Vincent was nominated for a 2006 Grammy® award for “Best Bluegrass Album” for Ragin’ Live, as well as a double nomination in 2007 for “Best Bluegrass Album” for All American Bluegrass Girl, along with “Best Country Collaboration with Vocals” for Midnight Angel featuring Bobby Osborne.

Since her debut, Rhonda has met with increasing acclaim for her dynamic, infectious take on bluegrass. Her gift for balancing classic bluegrass sounds with subtle contemporary touches is featured throughout music. Gleaming with hope, resilience, and gratitude, Rhonda presents a set of songs that range from timelessly straight-ahead bluegrass to classic country. Joining her on the album is Willie Nelson on the title track, Daryle Singletary featured on “We Must Have Been Out of Our Minds”, and members of Diamond Rio.

“When Rhonda Vincent opens her mouth, it’s great… whether she’s singing country or bluegrass. This collection of songs on “Only Me” is incredible. God gave Rhonda an unbelievable voice and I am so thankful that we get to enjoy it. I love her like a sister and enjoy her music as her biggest fan,” says Dolly Parton.

Currently nominated for six SPBGMA awards including Entertainer of the Year, Rhonda continues to be a trailblazer for the genre. Rhonda Vincent & The Rage are the most awarded band in bluegrass history with 88 industry awards.

As part of the promotional blitz for Only Me, Rhonda will be featured in a special two-part Today Show segment that was taped in Nashville (not sure which day Rhonda appears, as of press time), as well as RFD’s Cumberland Highlanders, GAC Top 20 Countdown, RFD’s Rural Evening News, CMT.com, Country Weekly, Bluegrass Unlimited, Huffington Post, the Tennessean, Woodsongs, Billboard, The Boot, Bluegrass Today, AOL, and much more.
