During a time of national uncertainty, GRAMMY® Award-winning country music group Shenandoah is looking to brighten spirits with a special Facebook Live performance event that will bring music to the masses. Amid concert postponements nationwide, the event will provide a unique opportunity for fans to enjoy live performances from the comfort of their living rooms.

Shenandoah has enlisted Michael Ray, Aaron Tippin, Austin Merrill, T. Graham Brown, and Katie Austin to join them during the live web broadcast. The event, sponsored by Foundry Records and hosted by Inside Edition's Megan Alexander, will take place at Nashville's SIR Rehearsal Studios with no live audience and minimal staff.

SHENANDOAH TEAMS WITH CHARLIE DANIELS FOR TRIBUTE TO LYNYRD SKYNYRD: "FREEBIRD IN THE WIND"

Newly-Released Ballad is a Modern-Day History Lesson
Honoring the Most Iconic Southern Rock Band of Our Time

GRAMMY®, CMA, and ACM Award-winning country band Shenandoah releases "Freebird in the Wind" featuring Charlie Daniels to all digital service providers today (October 25).

The ballad tells the story of the tragic plane crash that took the lives of several members of the legendary rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd on October 20, 1977. The Convair CV-240 passenger aircraft ran out of fuel and crashed near Gillsburg, Mississippi. The crash resulted in six fatalities, including the band's lead signer Ronnie Van Zant.

"Everyone knows Charlie Daniels plays a pivotal role in the southern rock genre," explains Marty Raybon, Shenandoah's frontman. "He also has a friendship with Lynyrd Skynyrd that goes back nearly four decades including a close relationship with Ronnie (Van Zant) before he passed away. With the connection he has to the history behind the song, we felt he would be perfect to have on this record, and we were honored when he said yes."

"The Devil Went Down to Georgia" singer recites a poem during the intro of the track. This recitation is carved into a stone bench at Ronnie Van Zant's gravesite. "What an absolute honor to have such an amazing piece of music history embedded into this song," says Raybon.

"Freebird in the Wind" was written by Nelson Blanchard and Scott Inness. In 2018, Inness visited the crash site on its 41st anniversary and spoke with two of the the crash's first responders. After, he and Blanchard both knew they had something historic on their hands. "We even played the demo to drummer Artimus Pyle who survived the crash, and he cried," says Inness. "We truly feel we captured the story in a song."

"The first time I heard this song, I remember thinking 'Wow, what memories it brought back.' Then I thought 'My goodness what a tribute,'" Raybon continues. "Not that they were in a plane crash and not that one of the most gifted songwriters and vocalists in southern rock had been killed, but the love for who and what they were had not died. We recorded this song not to gain from it, but to pay our respect to them."

Shenandoah recorded the new tune at Muscle Shoals Sound in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, the same studio where Skynyrd tracked some of its earliest recordings.

The tribute is available now for purchase or download via all digital streaming services HERE. All proceeds from the song go directly to the Lynyrd Skynyrd Foundation, the band's official charity.

SHENANDOAH AND CODY JOHNSON TEAM UP FOR EXCLUSIVE COUNTRY REBEL PERFORMANCE

Unplanned Moment Produces Duet Performance Dubbed "Pure Country Gold"

GRAMMY, ACM and CMA-Award winning singer Marty Raybon of Shenandoah and CoJo Music/Warner Music Nashville artist Cody Johnson have teamed to film a special acoustic music video of "I Can't Even Walk (Without You Holding My Hand)," exclusively for Country Rebel.

Johnson was wrapping his performance at Country Rebel's "The Church Sessions" when he learned Raybon was about to take the stage.

What happened next was spur-of-the-moment, as Johnson, a longtime fan of Raybon and Shenandoah, asked him to join him onstage for his final song. The two started to hum the chorus and within minutes, Country Rebel had captured a piece of country music magic.

"It was a real thrill to sing with Cody," says Raybon. "It was one of the highlights of which we've been experiencing for the last few years now. What truly excited me was when I heard that Cody had asked if I would mind singing with him on 'I Can't Even Walk (Without You Holding My Hand).' I thought 'goodness sakes alive, I'd love to do that!' It was a lot of fun and I'm really excited about what's going on with his career."

"We captured a priceless moment during a recent taping of Country Rebel's 'The Church Sessions,'" explains Kevin Blue, Country Rebel CEO and co-founder. "This unplanned, unrehearsed duet between Cody Johnson and Shenandoah is pure country music gold. We are honored to have connected these two incredible artists for an unforgettable duet with a powerful message."

The video premiered on Country Rebel's Facebook Page last week and has since racked up more than 13,000 shares and nearly a million unique views.

SHENANDOAH EXTENDS 30TH ANNIVERSARY TOUR INTO 2018

Due to popular demand, legendary GRAMMY® Award-winning country music group Shenandoah has announced an extension of its 30th Anniversary Tour into 2018. Today, the band unveiled its first round of live concert dates scheduled to take place next year as a continued celebration of Shenandoah's three decades of music. A total of 21 extended tour concerts were announced with stops in Green Bay, WI, Bremen, GA, Hinton, OK, Lubbock, TX, Pigeon Forge, TN, Greenville, AL, and more.

"I still can't believe it's been 30 years since we started this journey," notes Shenandoah's Mike McGuire. "We could've never imagined back then that we would've lasted this long. A big 'thank you' to the unsung heroes that are the driving force in any career like ours, the songwriters. They gave us great material to record and other than Marty's vocals, I believe that is the biggest ingredient that has afforded us this kind of longevity."

Shenandoah frontman Marty Raybon adds, "It's been great watching the crowds get larger and more energized. It allows you to believe and feel that what you're doing is right. It's not only a wonderful time in life, it's a great place to spend it, in front of a multitude of people, friends and fans. I say load the calendar and bring on 2018!"

Last month, Shenandoah premiered a new song, "Noise," on SiriusXM Prime Country, marking the group's first single released to radio in 20 years. The track, available through BMG, and produced by Jay DeMarcus of Rascal Flatts fame, has critics raving and is quickly gaining traction at radio. The new song serves as a preview to an upcoming full-length album, currently scheduled for an early 2018 commercial release.

"Noise" is available for digital download now at iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon and Google Play.

Shenandoah's 2018 30th Anniversary Tour kicks off January 12 is Palmetto, FL.

SHENANDOAH ANNOUNCES 2015 RELOADED WITH MARTY RAYBON TOUR DATES

Raybon Hits the Road with Shenandoah for First Time in Nearly Two Decades

PRESS RELEASE

Nashville, Tenn. (February 12, 2015) - After a near 18-year absence, the original voice of Shenandoah, Marty Raybon, is officially back in the band.  Since announcing his return last fall, Shenandoah and Raybon have performed a handful of dates, leaving concertgoers in awe.  Today, Shenandoah announced dates for their 2015 tour, Reloaded With Marty Raybon.

"We are so excited to see the reaction so far to having Marty back with us," notes Shenandoah's Mike McGuire.  "Smiles are big, seats are full and autograph lines are long.  It's like country music fans are starved for real country music these days.  At least that's what they are telling us.  And we are happy to take them back in our time machine!"

Raybon adds, "The crowds have been unbelievable.  Packed and loud.  It seems to me that they've missed hearing the music as much as I have.  The excitement is right in front of us and that's what makes us want to make sure they leave entertained and glad they came.  It's good to be back with the boys!"
