Acoustic Tour to Hit 10 Markets

Jason Boland, one of the leading lights in the Red Dirt music scene, and eclectic singer/songwriter/producer Shooter Jennings have teamed up for a tour that will hit 10 markets beginning December 9, 2017. The unique acoustic tour will see the two share the stage for the entire show, swapping songs and stories about music and the road.

Friendship between the two creative minds dates back at least five years, when Shooter co-produced Jason Boland & The Stragglers' Rancho Alto album in 2011. Soon after Shooter signed with Red 11 Music for booking this year, the company's Jon Folk suggested they hit the road together.

This year has been a busy one for Shooter. His Black Country Rock label released his Countach (for Giorgio) album in March. Comprised of songs composed or inspired by production pioneer Giorgio Moroder, the collage style journey through 80s and 90s culture, innovative songwriting, genre-bending fiddle-meets-synthesizer soundscapes included guest appearances by Brandi Carlile, Marilyn Manson, Steve Young and Lord British Richard Garriott.

On election day he released Black Ribbons: The Ultimate Edition, a remastered version of his 2010 genre-breaking, dystopian concept album narrated by famed horror author Stephen King. He supported the new album with a provocative limited audio series entitled "Beyond The Black," which takes music lovers song by song through the story of Black Ribbons and how the concepts and theories behind the project still ring true today. He also dishes on politics, conspiracy theories and more on the weekly series, which is available now at http://beyondthe.black.

OUTLAW MUSIC HALL OF FAME CONCERT OCT 25-27 FEATURING SHOOTER JENNINGS AND MORE

The recently-created Outlaw Music Hall of Fame is holding a major concert event Oct. 25-27 featuring three days of performances by artists like Shooter Jennings, Wayne Mills, Bridgitte London, Stone the Crow, Chris Gantry, Billy Don Burns, and many more.

Held at the Chopper Hill Rally site in Altamont, Tenn., the show will also be available to fans around the world on pay-per-view for a minimum donation of one dollar.  All money raised will go to develop the headquarters of the Outlaw Music Hall of Fame in Lynchburg, Tenn., which is slated to open in the spring of 2014.

The weekend will also include a songwriters in-the-round on Oct. 26 featuring Chris Gantry, Steve Young, James Austin, Tom Ghent, Burns, Billy Gant, and a special surprise guest. The Hall of Fame’s inaugural inductees will also be announced during the evening.

The new Outlaw Hall of Fame will be dedicated to musicians and songwriters whose work best exemplifies the qualities of the Outlaw movement of the 1970s. Placing the spotlight firmly on the roots of country, the Hall will educate the public about Outlaw country, memorialize founders of the genre like Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, and Jessi Colter, and recognize current Outlaw artists, providing a platform for them and the independent record labels who give them a home. The museum will be housed in a 5000 square-foot facility on the town square in Lynchburg, Tenn. and will include interactive displays and a studio for live internet broadcasts. A concert series showcasing independent roots country artists will also be held each April-Nov.

The month of March is "Shooter Jennings Month" it seems. Shooter is releasing his brand new cd, "The Other Life" on March 12 (happy birthday to me!), is screening the film he made to go with the cd at various theaters and kicks off a 28 city tour. BUCKY COVINGTON AND SHOOTER JENNINGS DUET ON NEW SINGLE “DRINKING SIDE OF COUNTRY”

Nashville, TN…(July 16, 2012)…Country music star Bucky Covington recently got the chance to take a seat in the producer's chair when he went into the studio with Shooter Jennings to record the duet “Drinking Side Of Country." The new single, available on Bucky's upcoming sophomore album GOOD GUYS, due out September 11th, is an up-tempo party song written by Bucky with his twin brother Rocky Covington and lifelong friend Donald Medlock. The song delivers today to country radio via PlayMPE for immediate airplay.

“Getting to produce your own music rocks, but being able to say you produced Shooter Jennings just takes it to a whole other level.“ Covington remarked, “I am very proud of this song and can’t wait to share it with my fans!”

Bucky first recorded the song shortly after writing it in 2010 but thought it needed something extra… his friend and fellow musician Shooter Jennings. Covington and Jennings just shot the rowdy video for "Drinking Side Of Country" earlier this month in the tiny town of Greensburg, KY and the clip will be released in the coming weeks. The video, which will premiere in the coming weeks, is full of non-stop neo-outlaw action, as Bucky and Shooter are up to no good, have a run in with the law, and end up in a high-speed chase through the tiny town of Greensburg, KY. The raucous video, shot during record high temperatures in the region, also features cameos by country star Kellie Pickler, 5-time WWE Champion and current TNA Impact Knockout wrestler Mickie James, and professional freestyle motocrosser Cowboy Kenny Bartram.

“Drinking Side Of Country,” written by Bucky and twin brother Rocky along with Ducky Medlock, and recorded and produced by Covington, will be impacting country radio soon.
