BLACK RIVER ENTERTAINMENT SIGNS RAY FULCHER TO ARTIST ROSTER

Back Row: Terry Wakefield (Universal Music Publishing), Gordon Kerr (Black River), Abby Miller (Black River), Zebb Luster (River House), Doug Johnson (Black River), Neil Mason (Badlands Management), Lynn Oliver (River House Publishing), Ray Fulcher, Mike Wilson (Black River), Rick Froio (Black River), Austin Mullins (WME), Dawn Delvo (Black River), and Chris King (King Business and Financial Management).

Front Row: Tali Canterbury (50 Egg), Ron Stuve (Universal Music Publishing), Rebekah Gordon (Black River), Emily Hungate (Black River), Lauren Kilgore (Shackelford, Bowen, McKinley & Norton, LLP), Bill Macky (Black River), Tanya Schrage (Black River), Jordon Petty (270 Media Co), and Jonathan Singleton (Producer).

Black River Entertainment is proud to announce the signing of hit songwriter and artist Ray Fulcher to its artist roster today.

With more than 30 million streams as an artist in his own right and 3 billion streams as a songwriter, Fulcher has amassed a loyal fanbase. Today, Fulcher honored his fans' support on his musical journey thus far by sharing this special moment with them first.

"Fans are the reason I write songs," said Fulcher. "They are the lifeblood of our industry, and without them, this wouldn't be possible, so it's only right for them to know first."

Black River joins an accomplished team alongside WME, Universal Music Publishing, River House Publishing, and Badlands Management. They all look forward to a music-filled 2021, complete with a fall tour as Fulcher is set as support for Luke Combs for the third time.

"What a great day for all of us!" said Black River's President and CEO Gordon Kerr. "What an impressive team we are now partnered alongside. Most importantly, what an artist! We are honored to step into this already impressive journey and can't wait to see what is in store for Ray!"

Upon signing with Black River, Fulcher shared, "I always knew I didn't want to sign anywhere unless they really believed in our music and vision as much as we did ourselves. They had to really get the songs and what we wanted to do with them and believe that I was the guy to carry them to the masses. With Black River, we have gotten all that and more...and the more I've gotten to know the people, the more I see what a great group of not just professionals they are, but humans. Just felt like a real easy decision."

Black River Entertainment's President and CEO Gordon Kerr and Ray Fulcher

Born and raised in the small town of Harlem, Georgia, Ray Fulcher grew up on many of country music's best songwriters & storytellers, and it shows. Some of his biggest influences were Alan Jackson, Keith Whitley, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Eric Church, and George Strait. Seeing Eric Church play at Athens' Georgia Theatre at 21 years old, Fulcher was filled with inspiration and immediately went out and bought his first guitar. Shortly after graduating from the University of Georgia in 2014, Fulcher moved to Nashville to pursue a songwriting and an artist career. Soon after, Fulcher signed his first publishing deal with River House Publishing, began getting cuts as a songwriter, and released his second EP, Here We Go Again, which debuted in the Top 10 of the country charts. This early success led to coveted support spots, including the Luke Combs Beer Never Broke My Heart Tour (2019) and the Matt Stell Everywhere But On Tour (2020), as well as extensive headlining and festival dates.

Songwriting ignited Fulcher's career as he's the co-writer of eight songs on Luke Combs' Platinum debut album, This One's For You, including the No.1 single "When It Rains It Pours," which has been certified triple platinum. Adding fuel to the fire, Fulcher co-wrote eight songs on Luke's follow-up album, What You See Is What You Get, including the No. 1 singles "Even Though I'm Leaving," "Does To Me" ft. Eric Church, and "Lovin' On You." Ray's latest EP, Somebody Like Me (2019), features the singles "Anything Like You Dance" and "Life After Your Leavin'." Signed to Black River Entertainment in 2021, Fulcher is writing and recording new music with producer Jonathan Singleton and is set to support Luke Combs this fall on the What You See Is What You Get Tour.

APA is excited to announce the signing of family Bluegrass act Mountain Faith for booking representation. “Over the past fifteen years, Mountain Faith has become one of the most respected acts in the Bluegrass genre,” said APA’s Cass Scripps. “We are anxiously looking forward to sharing their unique story and talents with fans across the country, and putting them in front of as many people as possible.”

Formed in 2000, Mountain Faith consists of lead vocalists Summer McMahan and Luke Dotson, banjo player and harmony singer Brayden McMahan, bass player Sam McMahan – who is Summer and Brayden’s father, and mandolin player Cory Piatt. Their unique style puts a new spin on Bluegrass music, featuring touches of Gospel, Folk, Pop, and R&B.

The band, who has just returned from a successful series of stops performing for U.S. troops in the Persian Gulf, is wrapping up the year with several performances, including one at the Atlanta Falcons vs Carolina Panthers game on December 27. They will ring in the new year at the Berry Freewill Baptist Church in Berry, AL. Details concerning their 2016 tour dates will be forthcoming.

Mountain Faith, who still practice in their family tire shop in rustic Sylva, North Carolina, has become a road circuit favorite, playing everywhere from arenas and auditoriums to churches. When they are not on the road, they can be found delivering their music to the crowds at Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, TN.

They've also become well known through their television appearances on the Daystar Television Network, as well as their recent stint on season ten of America’s Got Talent. Their performance of OneRepublic’s “Counting Stars” earned them four “Yes” votes from the celebrity judging panel, which led to performances with some of the major stars in the format, including Alison Krauss & Union Station. They also have been featured in the pages of many of the top magazines, newspapers, and websites in music – including Bluegrass Today and HNGN.com. The exposure on the show also helped to send their social numbers into the stratosphere.

2015 marks a watershed year for the group, who earned a staggering fifteen nominations from the SPBGMA (Society for the Preservation of Bluegrass Music of America) Bluegrass Music Awards – including nods for each member in their respective categories, as well as Entertaining Group of the Year and Album of the Year for their Feelin’ Blue album, released on Mountain Fever Records. Already Amassing International Appeal & Opening Slots On Major Tours

Earlier today, Dallas Smith inked a new U.S. record deal with Blaster Records through the label’s recent partnership with Big Loud Mountain. In celebration of the signing, the record-breaking Canadian country artist will release his new super-charged single “Kids With Cars” to Country radio this September and to digital retailers September 11. Produced and mixed by Joey Moi (Florida Georgia Line, Jake Owen), a preview of the high-octane song is now available on YouTube.

“Nothing excites us more than being involved with great music and with passionate, committed people,” says Blaster Records’ President Derek Simon. “We loved the music Dallas was making and jumped at the chance to partner with Big Loud Mountain to become his American label. Spend 10 minutes watching one of Dallas' shows and it’s clear how special of a singer and performer he is. The new music he's making is so strong and compelling and we couldn’t ask for better partners than Craig, Seth, Chief and Joey.”

"It's great to collaborate with the team at Blaster. They are equally as passionate as I am," shares Dallas Smith. “I’m excited to continue to build on what we are doing and take it to the next level."
