AMERICAN IDOL ALUM ALEX MILLER RELEASES ROCKIN'NEW VIDEO - "WHEN GOD MADE THE SOUTH"

American Idol alum Alex Miller’s new music video, “When God Made The South, offers further proof of his willingness to explore outside of the “traditionalist” lane. The single, a guitar-driven ode to the glories of Southern living, translates to a video that is a rowdy, raucous, and rollicking good time. The focus switches between Miller’s edgy performance and two shapely brunettes who dance their hearts out throughout.

The Miller family farm in Lancaster, Kentucky sets the scene for the dancers in crop tops and cut-offs who were filmed slinking through barns, hopping on four-wheelers, and climbing into pickup trucks. Close friends and family members, including Alex’s great uncles and his grandmother, joined the dancers to cut a serious rug throughout a vibrant bonfire scene.

Approximately 250 fans joined Alex and his band at the Silver Eagle night club in Rockcastle, KY - a honky tonk he played at in his early years - to film performance shots. Alex’s obviously hereditary slick dance moves are featured, along with those of the brunettes, Gracie Thom and Calloway Denton, who kept things steamy. Miller was teased by the crew for literally blushing during filming and editing. “I’ve led a pretty sheltered life, I guess,” Alex admits. “I mean those girls were so nice and so … athletic. It was kinda overwhelming. But it’s all good.”

Fans can keep up with Alex on his website, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube, and purchase the “When God Made The South” single HERE.

ALEX MILLER DELIVERS GRITTY, GUITAR-DRIVEN ROCKER, "WHEN GOD MADE THE SOUTH", TOMORROW

American Idol alum Alex Miller’s fans have been eagerly awaiting new music, and tomorrow he delivers with “When God Made The South.” An anthemic, guitar-driven ode to the glories of Southern living, the track is a great send off to summer. “WGMTS” is as gritty as a gravel road, as raw as moonshine and as slick as goose … well, you know. It’s a bit outside of what most might consider Miller’s “traditional Country” lane, but the move was intentional and offers a glimpse at another side of this talented Kentucky-born vocalist. The track is available for pre-save now.

“I really took the Idol judges’ advice to heart,” Alex admits. “I get that I have to challenge myself and keep growing to keep going in this business. This song was perfect for me. It screams ‘hit’ and the minute I heard it I knew we had to cut it. The lyrics are straight on Country. If you just read them, you’d never know this single was so edgy, but Jerry’s production takes things in a whole different direction - and I think it is just awesome.”

There's no doubt He had a real good day
There were Blackberry's blooming in the red dirt clay
And the smell of Jasmine floating through the Pines
I bet He knew right then we'd love our chicken fried
And sweet tea to wash it down
When God Made The South

(Jerry Salley/C. Aaron Wilburn/Lee Black)

Early reviewers are sold on the track:

“I really struggle to think of a young artist as self-assured of his style and brand as Alex Miller. This single gives a nod to modern Country radio without sacrificing identity.”
- Billy Dukes, Taste of Country

“A trailer load of grits ain't got nothin' on Alex’s latest."
- Duncan Warwick, Country Music People

"Alex shows off his jammin' side with utmost perfection!"
- Preshias Harris, Nashville Music Line

“Best of all possible worlds – the past, present and future of Country - all wrapped up
in one song.” - Char Richards, The Life Box Media Channel

Produced by award-winning songwriter and industry veteran Jerry Salley for Billy Jam Records, “When God Made The South” is the first release from Miller’s second and upcoming album for the label. His debut CD, MILLER TIME, delivered three well-received singles: “I’m Over You, So Get Over Me,” “Don’t Let The Barn Door Hit Ya” and “Through With You” (which took Alex to the Top 35 of the Billboard Indicator Chart, and reached #2 on THE COUNTRY NETWORK with its companion music video).

We’ve been on a real journey together for the last 18 months,” says Salley of his relationship with Alex. “We’ve learned so much about each other on a musical - and personal level. What stands out the most to me is that he loves all kinds of music. As Country as Alex is, he can perform any type of music that moves him. He is not one dimensional. It is a blast to hear this kid stretch a bit outside of his natural zone and try something new. He is so young and can go so far, it should be fun for him.”
Miller’s had a blast to date; he loves the road and the energy of the crowds and this year he has shared the stage with Brooks & Dunn (Iowa State Fair), Jamey Johnson (Wisconsin State Fair), Generation Radio (Ohio State Fair), Niko Moon (Kentucky State Fair) and King Calaway (Oklahoma State Fair). Additionally, he’s headlined at the New York State Fair, opened shows for Diamond Rio and Sawyer Brown, and debuted at the popular Wild Rose Casinos in Iowa.

Upcoming performances and appearances include:

Oct 8 - Tulsa State Fair (Tulsa, OK) - opening for Aaron Watson

and RFD TV’s “Market Day”

“Miller is the self-proclaimed flag bearer of traditional Country music, and MILLER TIME waves that flag proudly.” - Jim Cundiff, Americana Highways

Alex Miller’s debut album for Billy Jam Records drops today. The Kentucky native has been busy promoting the project, and fans can tune in today to see Alex on RFD TV's "Market Day" and Circle TV’s “Coffee, Country & Cody,” live from the WSM AM Radio studios in Nashville. Taste of Country and Roughstock have already featured track premieres (“Breaking The Bank” and “I’m Done”), respectively. The album’s current single, “Through With You," sits at #57 on the BILLBOARD Indicator Chart this week and the companion music video is airing on The Country Network, Country Music Channel, Heartland, and more. Writing for MusicRow, tastemaker Robert K. Oermann notes, “This American Idol alum goes totally “old school” on this heartache tune. Miller’s dips into his deep baritone range are ear catching, and the song is hooky as the dickens.” Radio is responding to the single as well, with KXDD (Yakima, WA) Operations Manager Justin Henrikesen calling Alex “an unbelievable young talent." Weighing in from WFRY (Watertown, NY), PD Stan Soboleski notes Miller is “a throwback to the legends with a contemporary sound,” while KRRV (Alexandria, LA) PD/MD Melissa Frost calls the track “a hit.”

Early album reviews and additional coverage can be found on Americana Highways, Digital Journal, Music Matters Magazine, Highland Radio Ireland, Tractors & Troubadours, Wide Open Country and more.

PETE DRAKE TO MAKE HISTORY AS FIRST STEEL GUITARIST INDUCTED INTO COUNTRY MUSIC HALL OF FAME

May 1 Gala Will Feature Retrospective Of Drake’s Extraordinary Life As Musician, Producer, Publisher, Label Founder
 & Recording Artist

Pete Drake will make history as the first steel guitarist to be inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame. Drake, who was once featured on 59 of the 75 songs on Billboard’s Top Country Hits chart, also enjoyed success as a producer, publisher, record label founder and recording artist. He will be inducted, in the Recording and/or Touring Musician category, alongside additional honorees Ray Charles, The Judds and Eddie Bayers on May 1. Drake is a member of the Atlanta Music Hall of Fame, Georgia Music Hall of Fame, Musicians Hall of Fame and Steel Guitar Hall of Fame.

While not a household name, Pete Drake helped make the steel guitar a household sound, adding his signature pickin’ style to countless Country hits. Pete played on records by Marty Robbins, Bobby Bare, Johnny Cash, The Louvin Brothers, Dolly Parton, Porter Wagoner, Jerry Lee Lewis, Reba McEntire and Charley Pride. His legend grew with his contributions on Tammy Wynette’s “Stand By Your Man,” Charlie Rich’s “Behind Closed Doors,” George Jones’ “He Stopped Loving Her Today,” Kenny Rogers’ “Lucille,” Lynn Anderson’s “(I Never Promised You A) Rose Garden” and countless others.

Dolly Parton recalls Pete as “a great musician and a wonderful human being. He really could make that guitar talk. He invented and created some steel guitar sounds that had never been heard before.”

Brenda Lee: “I am so happy Pete will receive his rightful place in the Country Music Hall of Fame. He was a genius on the steel guitar and a true gentleman. For those of us who knew and loved him, his presence will always be felt, personally and throughout the entertainment world.”

Ray Stevens: "I played on more sessions with Pete Drake than I can count. He was a real Nashville Cat and one of the original A-Team members. I'm so glad to see he is being inducted into the Hall.”

Joe Chambers, Co-Founder, Musicians Hall of Fame & Museum: “Pete was the first musician I thought of when I started to build the MHOF&M. I could think of no one else that defined “studio musician” better. He knew when to play, what to play and just as importantly … when not to play. He crossed most every genre of music - George Harrison to George Jones, Tammy Wynette to Bob Dylan.”

Drake’s creativity was boundless. In addition to the countless Country hits for which he is known, he pioneered the use of the steel guitar in Rock and Pop, performing on recordings by Buddy Holly, The Everly Brothers, Carl Perkins, Elvis, Perry Como, Neil Young and Joan Baez. He also played on Bob Dylan’s JOHN WESLEY HARDING, NASHVILLE SKYLINE and SELF PORTRAIT albums and on George Harrison's, ALL THINGS MUST PASS. During the Harrison sessions, Drake met Peter Frampton, who recalls their introduction at Abbey Road Studios. “We instantly hit it off. I was in awe of his playing … I’ll never forget when he set up his talk box and the pedal steel started singing to us all. Pete was a lovely man and a wonderful player. I miss him always.”

As a record producer, Pete helmed projects on The Oak Ridge Boys, Melba Montgomery, BJ Thomas (earning SESAC and Dove Awards), Ringo Starr, Slim Whitman, Tommy James, Bobby Vinton and others.

“We recorded ‘Heaven Bound’ over 45 years ago with Pete producing, and we still do it in our show. I loved working with Pete. He was a wonderful man.”

- Duane Allen, The Oak Ridge Boys

“Pete produced and played on my first solo #1, “No Charge,” back in 1974. We continued to record together for six years. Pete had a great personality, was easy to work with and always got the best out of me in the studio.”

- Melba Montgomery

In addition to steady session work in the early 1960s, Pete partnered with Tommy Hill, Jerry Shook, Ralph Davis, Jack Drake, and Ralph Emery to form Window Music Publishing and Tomake Music. The first writers he signed were Ed Bruce and Bill and Dottie West. Success came in Window Music’s first year when “Is This Me,” (Jim Reeves), written by Bill and Dottie West, became the company’s first #1 record. Additional hits included “Just Get Up and Close the Door” (Johnny Rodriquez), “Would You Lay With Me In A Field of Stone” (Tanya Tucker) “Every Time Two Fools Collide” (Kenny Rogers and Dottie West) and “If Drinkin' Don't Kill Me” (George Jones). Pete is credited with helping to develop the writing careers of David Allan Coe, Frank Dycus, Rory Bourke, Linda Hargrove, Jeff Tweel, Sonny Throckmorton, Pam Rose, Mary Ann Kennedy, Rick Beresford and many more.

By the late 1960s, Pete was booked on three sessions a day and was producing several acts. He formed First Generation Records in the mid-70s and signed Ernest Tubb. The boutique label released numerous projects by Grand Ole Opry stars and is still active today. Pete’s contributions to publishing continue to grow as his widow, Rose Drake, tirelessly works a large catalogue that includes undiscovered gems by Dottie West, Ed Bruce, Bourke, Hargrove, Tweel, Rose, Kennedy and Beresford. “We worked together 24/7 for over 22 years,” Rose reflects. “We lived and breathed the music business, and I’m honored to keep carrying that torch.”

A true impresario, Pete also enjoyed success as a solo recording artist, with albums released on Starday, Smash (a division of Mercury) and Word Records. It was here that he made famous the “talking steel guitar” technique that became one of his many signature sounds.

On May 1, the Country Music Hall of Fame will honor Pete as he makes history as the first steel guitarist inducted. Reflections include:

“Pete could make his guitar bleed anytime anywhere.”

-  Paul Franklin, renowned steel player

“He was a master.”

- Lloyd Green, renowned steel player

“Pete had that quality that many studio musicians search for – the ‘no doubt who it is’ sound. When he played on a huge hit, his steel became a part of the record. Something all of us studio musicians strive to achieve – and he made it seem effortless.”

-  Charlie McCoy (multi-instrumentalist, recording artist)

“His Integrity, Sincerity, Faithfulness, Loyalty, Talent and Willingness to Share and Serve is not to be excelled.”

- Ray Walker, The Jordanaires

Cledus T. Judd, Prince Of Parody, returns to the world stage with new representation in artist management, booking and music publishing. Judd burst on the scene in the late ‘90s with a series of perfectly crafted parodies of the biggest names in Country music. He translated his comedy success to radio, selling over two million records and scoring numerous accolades and music video hits in the process. Cledus starred on CMT’s Most Wanted Live for two years, co-hosted USA’s Nashville Star with Leann Rimes, and starred on VH1’s hit reality show, Celebrity Fit Club. Judd transitioned to the big screen, appearing in Toby Keith’s well-received movie, Beer For My Horses. He toured with Brooks & Dunn, Rascal Flatts, Toby Keith and other top-tier acts, and Montgomery Gentry, Rascal Flatts, Brantley Gilbert and many others have recorded his songs. Cledus walked away at the top of his game after releasing his album, "Parodyziac!!", on Warner Brothers. Since then, he has served as a full-time dad and now he’s amped up to return to the business he loves.

“The fans changed my life all those years ago,” Cledus reflects. “Now it’s my turn to help change theirs. The world always needs a good laugh – now more than ever. I’m truly grateful to Nate, Jay, Gerald and Charles for being able co-captains of this ship as we launch. This Judd’s for you.”

Cledus’ new affiliations include:

We are excited to see what is next for Cledus’ career, as his catalog resurges with an entirely new audience.

Red Street Publishing - Jay DeMarcus (President and CEO) “I have been friends with Cledus for many years and I’m super excited to call him an official Red Street Records official writer!! For every funny parody Cledus has written there are some of the most insightful, deep, honest lyrics I’ve ever heard. I’m excited to be a part of this next chapter in his songwriting career.”

DR Artist Management - Charles Dorris (Partner) "With a name that is known literally to millions because of a talent that is truly unique, it was an easy decision to sign Cledus for management. BRADLEY WALKER AND HOLLY PITNEY GUEST ON "WHEN I LEAVE KENTUCKY"

Bradley Walker & Holly Pitney Present Melded Perfection On "When I Leave Kentucky" From Gracey Holler Music's Upcoming, Multi-Artist CD, SONGS FROM LYON COUNTY

"The people of Kentucky have a deep connection to their home state, and the stunning vocal combination of Bradley and Holly on this duet captures that emotion." - Dennis Duff

Gracey Holler Music releases the first single from the label's upcoming SONGS FROM LYON COUNTY album with an emotional rendering of "When I Leave Kentucky." Featuring guest vocalists IBMA award-winner Bradley Walker and rising star Holly Pitney, the single is available to radio programmers via Airplay Direct. Fans can purchase the track on CD Baby. A must-have for lovers of Bluegrass, Country and Gospel, the single was produced by Dennis Duff and Cody Kilby (who also plays guitar and mandolin), and features Andy Leftwich on fiddle, plus Alan Bartram on bass.

Fiddle and mandolin kick off the track, setting an ethereal counterpoint for Walker's earthy, dirt-road baritone. The first chorus creates a shimmering moment of melded perfection: sun sparkling on a summer's glade, a cool dip of hot feet in a trickling mountain stream, a cloud-guessing game in childhood with the tickle of grass on your back. When Pitney takes the lead in the second verse, she draws the listener in like chimney smoke calls to the traveler on a cold winter's day:

These mountain's, these forest and fields these rivers that roam

Forged by the hand of God this land that I call home

I know I walk these hills only by God's grace

I'd have to leave this world to find a better place

(CH) When I leave Kentucky

They'll lay me in the ground

When I leave Kentucky

You'll know I'm heaven bound

(D.K. Duff)

The song is anchored in feelings known to only a lucky few: a binding, gripping love for a place from which one would never intentionally part. These "chains"are stronger than the realities of iron or steel ... they are freely worn by the bearer and are lighter than air. Walker and Pitney give freely with nuanced vocals that reflect need, longing, determination and an inevitable grace in equal measure.

BRANCH AND DEAN TO PERFORM AT NATIONAL PEACE OFFICERS' MEMORIAL MAY 15

Branch and Dean will perform their heart-wrenching hit, "The Dash" at the 37th annual National Peace Officers' Memorial Service tomorrow at 11 a.m. Eastern.

This annual event is held to honor officers who lost their lives in the line of duty. Families of fallen officers receive a medal of honor and a flower to place in a wreath at the wreath laying ceremony. This wreath then hangs for 24 hours at the memorial in Judiciary Square.

Greta Philvek of the National Memorial Committee saw Branch and Dean perform at the National Annual Conference last August. She was in awe when Branch and Dean accepted the offer to perform.

"We are overwhelmed that they are willing to perform for us," she said.

Chairman of the Memorial Committee Lou Cannon, said Branch and Dean's song, "The Dash" has a terrific impact and meaning for families.

"Officers know every day that they wake up to perform their duty, and we want their families to remember the officers' sacrifices to keep everyone safe," he said. "The Dash" is so special in our hearts and it is going to be a special moment shared by two very special people."

Dean Scallan, of Branch and Dean, said despite how busy their touring schedule is, this memorial is so important for both of them.

"It's an absolute honor to be asked to sing at this event," Scallan said. "There was no way we would miss this."

SYLVIA'S "SECOND BLOOM - THE HITS RE-IMAGINED" SET FOR JUNE 8 RELEASE #NOBODY WANTS TO MISS THIS ... SEE WHAT I DID THERE?

'80s Icon Blossoms With New Interpretations Of "Drifter," "Nobody," "Cry Just A Little Bit"
& More

Academy of Country Music Female Vocalist Of the Year, Grammy nominee and multi-million selling '80s icon Sylvia is set to release her newest CD, SECOND BLOOM - The Hits Re-Imagined, on Red Pony Records June 8. The album is available for pre-order now from iTunes and CD Baby.  Fans who order digitally will receive "Like Nothing Ever Happened" as an instant gratification track. Those who prefer a disc, will have their album autographed by Sylvia and receive an email containing instructions on how to obtain their "grat track" download. The project's first single, a reprise of Sylvia's signature Country/Pop smash, "Nobody," has just been released to radio and programmers can download the track HERE.

SECOND BLOOM includes 10 all-new interpretations of her # 1 / Top 10 hits from the RCA years (1979 to 1987). The Indiana-born songstress became known for her unique "Prairie Music" sound, with hits like "Drifter" and "Tumbleweed," and crossed over to the Pop market with the unforgettable "Nobody," which sold an astounding two million copies, spent 52 weeks on the Billboard charts, and was named BMI's Song of the Year. Sylvia's new version of "Sweet Yesterday" brings her life experience to bare with an even more poignant and meditative take on the song. "Cry Just A Little Bit" is updated with strings and drums with an infectious shuffle feel, while "Fallin' In Love" takes a decidedly Bluegrass spin that swings joyfully along as Sylvia's voice and Andy Leftwich's fiddle take turns in the spotlight. The disc closes with "You Can't Go Back Home," a song that was not previously released as a single, but serves as an allegory for Sylvia's approach to recording SECOND BLOOM. The song metaphorically reflects her intention to not re-record the songs note-for-note but to give them a fresh rendering. Sylvia's interpretation of the song is subtle, reflective, and memorable. This is Sylvia at her most powerful.

The synthesizer-laden, Country/Pop sound of the past is replaced throughout with a cleaner, more streamlined and organic approach. Tin whistles and strings are paired, fiddle and classical guitar meet - and in each joining they form a magical backdrop for Sylvia's clear and soulful vocals. While much of her formative music is defined by a certain era and genre, the songs themselves are bound only by the artist's imagination. And Sylvia has imagination to spare. She and longtime collaborator John Mock modernized instrumentation and voicing and, in some cases, departed dramatically from the original production values. Consistent, however, are the signature licks that fans will recognize and Sylvia's genuine reverence for these tunes that form her artistic lineage.

"My desire was to bring my music from the '80s into alignment with the music I'm creating today," she notes.  "I wanted to breathe new life into the songs as if I was recording them for the first time while still honoring their musical identity. I believe the spirit of the music is just as relevant today as it was when these songs first bloomed."

On SECOND BLOOM, Sylvia bridges the gap, bringing these hits to life in a new way while paying homage to the music that made her a star. This is an album that is by turns introspective and carefree, evocative and joyful. Longtime fans will remember why they fell in love with Sylvia's music, while new admirers will be captivated by the purity of her voice and musical convictions.

Bryant is known for his incredible live performances; he doesn't do anything halfway. Jacob's come from a teen too shy to sing in his school chorus to rippin' it up with all the enthusiasm of a young Garth Brooks. His music is raw, real and blatantly honest. This is a man comfortable in his own shoes ... or boots. Bryant isn't pretending to be something he's not - and fans immediately respond to his energy and passion.

Industry tastemakers are hailing this newcomer as well:

"Jacob Bryant's time is here and now."
Music Matters Magazine

"Completely at ease getting audiences riled up and having a good time. He delivers modern Country music that's tinged with elements of old-school Outlaw Country and Southern Rock." - Spartanburg Herald Journal

"His music is raw, gritty Country/Rock that's a lot more Skynyrd than it is Eagles. He's steadily built a growing fan base on the strength of hard-bitten true-to-life songs ..."

"Hank and Red are both legends and amazing songwriters.  Red and I actually wrote a lot together - on his plane or at my house.  Our friendship evolved from friends to family.  He was like a father to me and I miss him.  I'm honored to be invited to be a part of such a great cause."
 - Ronnie Bowman

"I was extremely lucky to be able to know them, especially at an early formative time in my career.  They were both very funny, clever souls who always had family and friends around them, and I'm so glad I got to be a part of many of those wonderful times."  - Rafe Van Hoy

"Red and I were close.  When Red would call at 2 a.m. and say 'hey,' you had time to get up, make a sandwich and eat it before he would ask 'what ya doing?' He was definitely one of a kind, and I'm thrilled to be taking part in this fundraiser for THCPF."   - Don Sampson

"Dad always said that Hank would show up at the studio with a suitcase full of songs whenever someone was recording," she recalls.  "Everyone knew then that at least three spots on the album were gone.  It was a good lesson for me to learn.  Persistence pays."
 - Marla Cannon-Goodman

"Hank is the nail to country music that put it all together. Haggard said 'there's only three writers in country music -- Hank being first, me and Red Lane a real close third.'"
- Dale Dodson

"Hank and Red are part of the Masters of Songwriting and I was honored to call them both my friends and mentors."
- Waylon Payne

To Donate

The Hank Cochran Pen Fund offers financial support to songwriters and their families as they deal with cancer.  "Hank understood songwriters better than anyone," Booth recalls.  "Not every writer is on the charts every week; some never make it there at all, but they are all songwriters."  The Fund shares that philosophy, and is dedicated to helping writers - of all career stages - in whatever way possible.  To date, the Fund has paid mortgage and utility bills, paid for medical supplies, meals, Uber rides and dog sitter fees.  "Everyone's life is different and so everyone has unique needs," notes Cochran.  "Our goal is to help meet the financial needs of the individual so that they can focus on healing."  - https://www.facebook.com/ThePenFund

BILLY YATES ANNOUNCES NEW SHOW IN BRANSON, MISSOURI

Billy Yates' Hit Songwriters in the Round
will debut at the Americana Theatre April 6, 2018

Billy Yates' Hit Songwriters in the Round will debut April 6, 2018 at the Americana Theatre on the famed 76 Country Music Boulevard strip in Branson.  The first three shows will feature two of Nashville's most gifted songwriters, Kerry Kurt Phillips, whose songwriting credits include: "Prop Me Up Beside the Jukebox (If I Die)" (Joe Diffie), "Down On The Farm" (Tim McGraw), and "She Let Herself Go" (George Strait), along with Wynn Varble, star of the hit TV series, Joey and Rory, whose songwriting credits include: "Have You Forgotten" (Darryl Worley), "Waitin' On A Woman" (Brad Paisley), and "A Little More Country Than That" (Easton Corbin).

This unscripted, unplugged, and unbelievable 90-minute show will bring the best in performing songwriter experiences to the stage, where the award-winning/Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter, Billy Yates, will introduce the audience to the world of performing songwriters, as two other hit songwriter/artists from Nashville will join Billy on stage each week to casually tell the stories behind the songs they play.  This relaxed and unscripted show allows the audience to enjoy the spirit of what makes acoustic performances of songs, by the ones who wrote them, so great.

Wynn Varble

Audiences will feel the raw emotions and should be prepared to laugh, and possibly cry, as they share their hearts and souls in this "like no other" experience in Branson, Missouri.  Songwriters and artist/writers will rotate weekly throughout the season, each performing three shows in a row during their stay in Branson.  The intimacy of this all-acoustic show will leave audiences feeling as though they've made new friends with the stars on stage.

Most Branson show goers got to know Billy Yates during the past two seasons as he starred in the hit country music production, Raiding the Country Vault. "When I got to Branson last year, I realized that with so much variety in the shows and attractions, there was still something missing.  Having spent the last 30 years in Nashville, the thing I missed most was the amazing songwriter shows that have become a true Nashville experience in the Music City where hit songwriters share with the audience their original versions of songs they've written, along with the stories that inspired them," said Yates. "I believe that a show like this in Branson, featuring the best writers in the business, is something the folks here are sure to love".

 Kerry Kurt Phillips

Each show will include a meet and greet, and the audience will have a chance to personally "thank a songwriter" . . .  the unseen heroes behind the music of our lives.

In addition to his own 'Hit Songwriters in the Round' show, Yates will continue singing some of his favorite Country classics at the Starlite Theatre in Raiding the Country Vault in 2018, so make plans to attend both shows as you schedule your Branson vacation.
