COUNTRY VOCAL POWERHOUSE NATE SMITH RELEASES "THROUGH THE SMOKE" EP TODAY

JOINS MORGAN WALLEN ON HIS ONE NIGHT AT A TIME 2024 TOUR
Two Songs Currently Top 25 At Country Radio
“World On Fire” & New Single “Bulletproof”

Fresh off his 10 consecutive week No. 1, country breakout star Nate Smith releases his new EP Through The Smoke today (Listen Here). The 7-track EP features new single “Bulletproof” as well as 5 additional new songs and a cover of Nirvana’s “Heart Shaped Box.” Showing no signs of slowing down, “Bulletproof” reaches top 25 on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart this week.

Smith shared about the project, “I’ve been through a lot of adversity in my life, but ‘through the smoke’ came to mind one day and I thought that was the perfect way to describe making it through tragedy. It captures what it looks like on the other side of heartbreak, on the other side of tragedy, on the other side of giving everything you’ve got to go after what you want to do in life. I think this EP is a transition between all the fire and pain and everything I went through, and then overcoming. And that’s what I want people to feel. It’s layered in there.”

Through The Smoke Track List:

Bulletproof
Wish I Never Felt
Rather Be Lonely
Here’s To The Hometowns
Make It With You ft. The War & Treaty
Hollywood
Heart Shaped Box

Last night, Smith joined Morgan Wallen for the kickoff to Wallen’s ONE NIGHT AT A TIME 2024 tour. Smith will open the highly sought-after tour in stadiums across the country, with stops in Arlington (TX), Charlotte, Denver, Indianapolis, Kansas City, Las Vegas, Minneapolis, Nashville, Oxford (MS), Tampa and other cities. Smith will also return to Stagecoach next year after his debut appearance at the festival this year.

KAMERON MARLOWE’S “TENNESSEE DON’T MIND”: A LOVE LETTER TO LIFE ON THE ROAD

The video highlights the juxtaposition of a fast-paced, high-energy life on the road,
with the solitude that follows returning home

Marlowe’s 13-stop headlining I Can Lie Tour continues nationwide

"Tennessee Don't Mind" - available now

Kameron Marlowe brings his “signature smoky voice”(Grammy.com) to the forefront with his new single, “Tennessee Don’t Mind,” available everywhere now. Written by Charles Kelly and Daniel Tashian, the gritty track with a wild frontier-like instrumentation takes you on a cinematic journey through Marlowe’s push and pull relationship with the place he calls home.

“To me, Tennessee in this instance really represents Music City,” admits Marlowe. “There is a give and take with chasing this dream, and the past two years have been a whirlwind. There’s a lot of ‘life’ we miss out on being on the road – something no one prepares you for. I feel the most at home on the road and sometimes that’s the scary part. The music just consumes you and sometimes it’s hard to get out of your own head."

Resonating like a woman who holds a man’s heart in her hands, the enduring pull of Tennessee remains steadfast to Marlowe, echoing a feeling often seen by artists who commit their lives to music. Nashville’s unwavering allure continues to draw him back time and time again, despite all the sacrifice and hardships that come along with chasing a career on the road as his “gravelly vocal” (Billboard) and rip-roaring fiddle lead the way.

The new single ushers in Marlowe’s next chapter of music, accompanied by a music video shot on his bus with his long-time band who all hail from his home state of North Carolina. As they head out of Nashville during the dead of night, the video highlights the complexities of life on the road and all the highs and lows that come with it. From the thrill of fans cheering your name and echoing lyrics back to you, to the video’s end as Marlowe faces the stark reality and isolating feelings that creep in when the stage lights dim.

Known to be one of the most recognizable voices in the format, Marlowe signed to Columbia Nashville/Sony Music Nashville as a result of the success of his Platinum-certified hit, “Giving You Up,” and has since garnered over 680M+ on demand streams to date. Just last month, Marlowe featured on Megan Moroney’s deluxe album with the soul-stirring duet, “Fix You Too.”

Earlier this year, Marlowe graced the stage on tour with Luke Bryan and Jordan Davis and has now embarked on his 13-stop headlining I Can Lie Tour with special guests Elvie Shane, James McNair and Matt Schuster. Tapped as an artist on the rise by Opry’s NextStage program and CMT’s Listen Up class, 2023 has proved to be a year like never before.

Keep up with Marlowe on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and TikTok and visit KameronMarlowe.com for tour dates and more information.

RESTLESS ROAD RELEASES NEW TRACK “YOU DON’T HAVE TO LOVE ME” ... DEBUT ALBUM, "LAST RODEO", ARRIVING NEXT FRIDAY (10/20)

Listen to the new song and pre-add/order/save Last Rodeo HERE.

In anticipation of their debut album, Last Rodeo, arriving next Friday (10.20), Restless Road released a new track from the project today, “You Don’t Have To Love Me.”

Written by the trio (Colton Pack, Garrett Nichols, Zach Beeken) along with Austin Shawn and Nate Kenyon, “You Don’t Have To Love Me” preludes the harmony-driven vocals and “hard-hitting storytelling” (Country Now) to come on Last Rodeo. The project will feature 18 tracks including the title track, which Country Central called “undeniably catchy,” and recently released songs “Roll Tide Roll,” “I Don’t Wanna Be That Guy,” “Sundown Somewhere,” “On My Way,” their #1 Sirius XM hit “Growing Old With You” and fan favorite “Bar Friends.”

Contrary to the title of the album, Last Rodeo is just the beginning for the trio. The title track is about resilience and keeping their eyes on the road, which this album is proof of. As Colton, Garrett and Zach have grown together, Last Rodeo encapsulates their journey through every twist and turn. With Colton married, Garrett currently engaged, and Zach single – the songs incorporate a wide breadth of stories about all different stages of life and love.

With appearances this year in the UK with Kane Brown, at Stagecoach and CMA Fest, the “Spotify Hot Country Artist To Watch” will spend the rest of the year touring alongside Russell Dickerson. For tickets and additional info, visit www.restlessroad.com.

KAMERON MARLOWE AND ERIN KIRBY GIVE THE FANS WHAT THEY WANT! NEW VERSION OF “I CAN LIE (THE TRUTH IS)” OUT NOW

RESPONDING TO ONSLAUGHT OF COMMENTS, MARLOWE INVITES THE ASPIRING VOCALIST TO JOIN HIM FOR DUET; SURPRISES HER WITH RECORDING SESSION

PERFORM FOR FIRST TIME TOGETHER ON THE GRAND OLE OPRY

When Kameron Marlowe first gave fans a sneak peek of his latest release “I Can Lie (The Truth Is)” last November, one response stood out. Aspiring singer/songwriter Erin Kirby posted a TikTok adding harmonies over Marlowe’s original voice memo, drawing immediate praise (including a “HOLY S***” from Marlowe himself) as fans flooded both artists’ comments begging for an official duet. Today, the pair answer the call with “I Can Lie (The Truth Is)” by Kameron Marlowe featuring Erin Kirby.

“A while back I teased this song on TikTok and the next day I got an insane amount of notifications about this girl named Erin Kirby. I listened to her video and immediately said we had to throw her on ‘I Can Lie’,” said Marlowe. “This song wouldn’t be true without her, and she was definitely the missing link to making the story of this song come to life. I’m excited for my first duet to be something the fans made happen and I can’t wait to see how Erin’s career takes off from here. She’s the real deal and I’m very proud of this song.”

Marlowe released the solo version of “I Can Lie (The Truth Is)” earlier this month, but listeners were still ravenous to hear Kirby’s distinct vocals round out the track and blend with Marlowe’s mournful wail. Unbeknownst to Kirby, Marlowe was hard at work behind the scenes to make it happen and extended the invite to join him for a duet via TikTok – the platform that originally connected the two. Thinking she was on her way to a meeting, the 19-year-old Georgia native actually ended up in the recording studio, where Marlowe surprised her with the news that she would be recording vocals that day. Watch the moment HERE.

Kirby added “This has been such a thrill getting to be a part of this song! From the response to me covering the song, to then getting surprised by Kameron to sing with him on it, I’m just so excited to be a part of this and can’t wait for y’all to hear it.”

Additionally, Marlowe invited Kirby to join him for their first joint live performance Tuesday (6/27) on the Grand Ole Opry. “I Can Lie (The Truth Is)” earned nearly 1.5 million global streams its first week of release and has been touted as “a heater” by Whiskey Riff as Country Now observed “The singer/songwriter’s baritone vocals are accompanied by the traditional sounds of pedal steel and the fiddle, taking listeners back to that traditional country sound that’s been passed down from generation to generation by the likes of Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings and more.”

It’s the latest offering from Marlowe, who is a member of the CMT Listen Up and Opry NextStage classes of 2023. He released his debut album We Were Cowboys – produced by Dann Huff – in 2022 and will spend the rest of the year touring with Luke Bryan, Dierks Bentley, and Jordan Davis in between his own headline dates, fairs, and festivals including Watershed, Faster Horses, Windy City Smokeout, and more.

#MUSTHAVE - NATE SMITH’S DEBUT SELF-TITLED ALBUM + DELUXE VERSION AVAILABLE NOW

GEARS UP FOR FIRST TIME APPEARANCE AT STAGECOACH TODAY
RELEASE WEEK SHOWS IN LOS ANGELES & NASHVILLE
ENDS THE WEEK KICKING OFF THOMAS RHETT TOUR

Known for his “strong voice that grips a lyric with ferocity” (Billboard), rising star Nate Smith released his self-titled debut album today. Due to incredible fan demand on his social platforms, he released a deluxe version of the album today as well, which includes the highly anticipated track “World On Fire” and five other new songs. Listen here.

Nate shared about the project: “It has been so much fun making this album, and I really believe in every one of these songs. Releasing an album has always been a goal of mine, but at the end of the day it’s really not about me. It’s about being able to reach other people with music that means something.” He adds that his mission with his music is to be a “conduit of hope”; a selfless and passionate driving force that’s thematic in his songs. “I’m not trying to be cool, or reinvent the wheel, or chase musical trends…I’m going after the heart of the matter.”

Nate’s journey to Nashville and the challenges he endured along the way are traceable in his gravelly tone, including losing his hometown of Paradise, CA to Camp Fire, the deadliest and most destructive fire in the state’s history. Following the fire, Nate turned to music to cope, eventually inspiring a cross-country road trip to Nashville to pursue music fulltime.

Through all the hardships, the rising star found purpose and hope. Like Nate, the collection of songs is honest, raw, real, and threaded together with optimism. While each song tells its own story, Nate unveils two sides of his artistry through the project: deep, heartfelt ballads and fun-loving, drink in the air, country jams. The two are intertwined with undeniable hooks and his signature velvet thunder vocals.

2023 is shaping up to be a breakthrough year for the entertainer, who is a nominee for NEW MALE ARTIST OF THE YEAR at the 58th ACM Awards. Fans can tune in on May 11 at 8 p.m. ET / 7:00 p.m. CT / 5:00 p.m. PT as it streams live exclusively on Prime Video from Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, TX. This nomination arrives on the heels of his 2023 CMT Awards nomination for BREAKTHROUGH MALE VIDEO OF THE YEAR for his Platinum-certified No.1 hit “Whiskey On You.” The smash single topped the country radio charts for two weeks in a row earlier this year, following its record breaking six-week run at No. 1 on the country radio charts in Canada – making the song the longest running No. 1 country debut by a male vocalist in their chart history.

Nate was also recognized on multiple 2023 “Artist to Watch” lists this year including Amazon’s Breakthrough Artists to Watch, MusicRow’s Next Big Thing, CMT’s Listen Up, CRS New Faces, among others. With his first No. 1 under his belt and over 672 million total global career streams to date, Nate proves to be “powering through his own lane and will only go up from here” (MusicRow).

In addition to his first-ever album dropping today, he will also be taking the stage at Stagecoach for the first time. Next week, he’ll make stops in LA and then Nashville for headlining shows before hitting the road with Thomas Rhett for his HOME TEAM TOUR 23 beginning next Thursday. The tour will kick off May 4 in Des Moines, IA, and will hit a total of 40 cities this summer. This fall, he’ll open for Cole Swindell’s THE TWELVE TOUR.

TYLER BOOTH GETS "REAL REAL COUNTRY" WITH NEW SINGLE

Sony Music Nashville/Villa 40 singer-songwriter Tyler Booth shared his latest track today, “Real Real Country.”

“When I wrote ‘Real Real Country’ I was really just having fun with it and not putting too much pressure on myself as a songwriter,” Booth said. “To me this song bridges a lot of things – modern country to traditional country, and even country music to a little bit of hip-hop. I had a lot of fun experimenting with different kinds of music and seeing where I could land that thing and still be true to myself. I’m really proud of this song because I wrote it by myself, and I think it really reflects who I am as an artist and where I’m heading.”

Written solely by Booth, the song is his first new music of the year, following last year’s cover of Post Malone’s “Feeling Whitney” and his heartfelt track, “Hey Dad.”

Recently, Booth shared stages with acts such as Darius Rucker, Jon Pardi, and Brooks & Dunn, and he is currently out on his headlining “Country Gang Tour.” The road warrior has gained a loyal fanbase through his extensive touring and is also backed by his over 850k followers on social media. CMT described Booth as, “a country traditionalist with an impressive knack for storytelling” while American Songwriter called him, “an outlaw with the baritone voice, an endearing smile and a flowing mullet,” who “just might prove to be a breath of fresh country air in a world of far too perfectly coifed and filtered country superstars.”

MEGAN MORONEY DROPS LONG-AWAITED “TENNESSEE ORANGE” MUSIC VIDEO

NAMED A 2023 ARTIST TO WATCH BY AMAZON, PANDORA & OTHERS

Breakout Sony Music Nashville/Columbia Records artist Megan Moroney dropped the music video for her viral hit, “Tennessee Orange,” today.

Directed by Jason Lester, the video was shot at various locations around Nashville. Moroney, a Georgia grad, appears wearing the rival orange of the Tennessee Volunteers with a mystery man, who is presumably a Vols fan.

“I had so much fun making this video with Jason Lester!” Moroney said. “I think we could have taken this video in a few different directions, and I was so excited to film it from ‘his’ point of view. This song is about more than a football team and I think we captured the love story perfectly.”

“Tennessee Orange” was recently the #1 weekly streamed song by a solo female artist and has amassed over 92 million total global on-demand streams to date. The song arrived last summer, following Moroney’s debut EP, Pistol Made Of Roses. CMT noted that “the six-song collection served as an introduction and shared who Moroney is at her very core – a musical risktaker with powerhouse pipes.”

Following an explosive 2022 led by the success of “Tennessee Orange,” Moroney was dubbed as a “2023 Artist to Watch” by Amazon, Pandora, Country Now, among others. Additionally, she was crowned the “2022 New Artist of the Year” by Country Central and named one of SiriusXM’s “2023 Future Five.” Holler predicted that her “smooth, honeyed voice that combines with a casual, conversational charm [will] make her one to watch in 2023.”

Moroney recently toured alongside artists such as Larry Fleet, Jamey Johnson, and Warren Zeiders, and is now set to launch her headlining PISTOL MADE OF ROSES tour this spring. For dates and additional info, visit meganmoroney.com.

Born and raised in Georgia, Moroney grew up in a musical household heavily influenced by legendary songwriters in classic country, southern rock, and americana. During her freshman year at the University of Georgia, an opportunity to open for an established country artist at the iconic Georgia Theatre prompted Moroney to write her very first original song. From there, she developed a love for storytelling and has become known for her distinctive voice and honest, conversational lyrics.

Altogether, Combs sold over 115,000 tickets in one day alone. Combs will also headline several major festivals this year including Stagecoach, New Orleans JazzFest and BottleRock.

The upcoming performances add to a triumphant year for Combs, who will release his highly anticipated new album, Growin’ Up, June 24 via River House Artists/Columbia Nashville/Sony Music Nashville (pre-order here). In advance of the release, Combs’ new song “Tomorrow Me,” written by Combs, Dean Dillon and Ray Fulcher, debuted last week, of which Billboard praises, “Combs’s gruff voice brings gravitas to this introspective ballad.”

Reflecting on the album, Combs shares, “I’ve been working on this album on and off for two and a half years now. It was sort of a crazy process through what COVID brought, and what that meant for our touring life last year. It made me have to put a pause on this album for a second, but I’m just really stoked that it’s finally coming out. Working with Chip Matthews and Jonathan Singleton as a producer has been really great and I think that the fans are going to love these songs. I’m just excited to get them out and see what they think.”

Produced by Combs, Chip Matthews and Jonathan Singleton, Growin’ Up is Combs’ third studio album following 2019’s 3x Platinum What You See is What You Get and his 4x Platinum debut, This One’s For You. The new record consists of twelve songs including Combs’ current single, “Doin’ This,” which is Top 5 at country radio and rising. Full track list details to be announced soon.

A personal reflection on his own life and career, “Doin’ This” continues to receive widespread acclaim following its release last fall, with Billboard praising, “the North Carolina native with the full-throttle voice and arsenal of hits has become an unstoppable force,” while MusicRow declares, “His heart is so huge, and there are few in the format who are as completely relatable…A masterpiece.”

“Doin’ This” continues to a triumphant run at country radio for Combs, who once again made history as his previous single, “Cold As You,” reached No. 1 on the Billboard Country Airplay and Mediabase/ Country Aircheck charts. This is the seventh No 1 from Combs’ deluxe album, What You See Ain’t Always What You Get—breaking the record for most No. 1 singles to come from the same album—as well as his twelfth-consecutive No. 1 single overall, another historic feat.

A member of the Grand Ole Opry and a 6x CMA, 3x ACM, 3x Billboard Music Award-winner, Combs is in the midst of a record-setting and historic series of years. His previous release, What You See Ain’t Always What You Get, debuted at No. 1 on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart as well as the Billboard Top Country Albums chart. With the record Combs reached No. 1 on Rolling Stone ’s Top 200 Albums chart, Top 100 Songs chart and Artists 500 chart—the first country artist ever to lead all three charts in the same week and first to top the Artists 500. He also made history as the first artist ever to have their first two studio albums spend 25 weeks or more at No. 1 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart—breaking Taylor Swift’s previously held record at 24 weeks.

SOUTHERLAND “BOOTS UP” FOR DEBUT EP OUT TODAY

Music video for title track “Boot Up” available everywhere now

Listen to "Boot Up"here

Nashville duo Southerland releases its debut EP, Boot Up, today. The seven-song EP showcases Southerland’ s innate ability to mix timeless country harmonies over modern production from Greg Bates, showcasing the true duo’s nostalgic yet current sound.

"We could not be more proud of the seven songs on this EP," shares Southerland. "When then pandemic hit, we took the opportunity to write and record music that truly tells the story of who we are as a duo. These songs are such an authentic picture into who we are and the kind of music that influenced us."

In tandem with their debut EP, Southerland releases a music video for the title track “Boot Up,” available everywhere today. The video highlights the working class - secretaries, military personnel, farmers, bartenders and construction workers- “booting up” for their daily shift.

In case you missed it, yesterday the duo premiered a full-band performance of the entire seven song EP via livestream on Facebook, straight from The Nashville Palace. Watch here

More dates will be announced soon, bringing their all-new music to fans throughout the country. Sony Music Nashville announces the signing of singer/songwriter Adam Doleac to the Arista Nashville imprint. Doleac’s “Famous,” which he co-wrote with Andy Skib and Bobby Hamrick, will officially ship to country radio as his first Arista Nashville single on Dec. 16.

A co-writer of songs recorded by such stars as Kane Brown, Darius Rucker, and Hootie and the Blowfish, Adam Doleac has staked his claim as one to watch in Nashville. Dubbed “the hero country needs” by Popdust, he has toured with Carrie Underwood, Chris Young and Kane Brown, among others. Doleac’s music has been described by Rolling Stone as “anchored not only in the trends of Top 40 radio, but also the blue-collar grit of Bob Seger and the bluesy influence of his Mississippi hometown.”

A Hattiesburg, Mississippi native, Doleac became impassioned with music in college. He received a scholarship to the University of Southern Mississippi where he not only played baseball, but wrote songs with his teammates and learned to play guitar. After he began playing hometown area gigs, Doleac posted a performance of one of his songs on YouTube which accrued millions of views and the attention of Sony/ATV Music Publishing.

COUNTRY MUSIC - A Film By Ken Burns (The Soundtrack) showcases essential recordings, drawn from the nearly 600 music cues used in the documentary, covering the wide historic terrain of 20th century American country music. A tree with deep roots and ever-expanding branches, American country music evolved from songs passed down from generations of settlers and slaves until 20th century recording technology made it possible for hundreds and thousands (if not millions) of listeners to share the same musical experience on a record.

COUNTRY MUSIC journeys from early Appalachian "hillbilly" recordings through "singing cowboys" and bluegrass, Texas swing and Tennessee rockabilly and more, all the while paying attention to the impact of radio, Hollywood and television on the evolution of American country sounds and attitudes.

The deluxe box set edition of COUNTRY MUSIC - A Film By Ken Burns (The Soundtrack) includes many rarely seen archival photos, posters, documents and memorabilia related to the artists and recordings in the film, originating from a variety of sources including Sony Music Archives, the Country Music Hall of Fame, artist estates, and country music photographers. The box includes a note from the film's producers Ken Burns, Dayton Duncan, and Julie Dunfrey as well as in-depth essays by Bill Malone (the "dean" of country music historians and consultant/commentator for the film) and country music historians Colin Escott (covering the 1930s-1950s) and Tamara Saviano (covering the 1960s-1990s). The set features quotes from many of the artists who appear in the series including Dolly Parton, Rosanne Cash, Kris Kristofferson, Merle Haggard, Vince Gill and others.

Disc One of the deluxe edition of COUNTRY MUSIC - A Film By Ken Burns (The Soundtrack) covers "Episode One: The Rub (Beginnings - 1933)" and "Episode Two: Hard Times (1933-1945)" of the film and includes pioneering performances from The Carter Family, Jimmie Rodgers, Charlie Poole with the North Carolina Ramblers, Gene Autry, Bob Wills and His Texas Playboys, Roy Acuff and His Crazy Tennesseans, Bill Monroe and His Blue Grass Boys and more.

Disc Two of the collection brings together music from "Episode Three: The Hillbilly Shakespeare (1945-1953)" and "Episode Four: I Can't Stop Loving You (1953-1963)" and features essential recordings by Hank Williams with his Drifting Cowboys, Kitty Wells, Little Brenda Lee, Johnny Cash & the Tennessee Two, Ray Price, The Everly Brothers, Lefty Frizzell, Marty Robbins, Faron Young, Patsy Cline, Ray Charles and others.

Disc Three showcases recordings from "Episode Five: The Sons and Daughters of America (1964-1968)" and "Episode Six: Will the Circle Be Unbroken (1968-1972)" from artists including Roger Miller, Buck Owens, Loretta Lynn, Charley Pride, Jeannie C. Riley, Tammy Wynette, The Byrds, Kris Kristofferson, Bob Dylan with Johnny Cash, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and more.

Disc Four focuses on "Episode Seven: Are You Sure Hank Done It This Way? (1973-1983)" and a new generation of country musicians including Waylon Jennings, Dolly Parton, George Jones and Tammy Wynette, Townes Van Zandt, Gram Parsons and the Fallen Angels, Emmylou Harris, Willie Nelson, Hank Williams, Jr., Rosanne Cash and others.

Disc Five rounds out the anthology with "Episode Eight: Don't Get Above Your Raisin' (1973-1996)" featuring tracks by Ricky Skaggs, Reba McEntire, Randy Travis, The Judds (Wynonna and Naomi), Dwight Yoakam, Kathy Mattea, Trisha Yearwood and more.

Burns' documentary explores crucial questions––"What is country music?" and "Where did it come from?"––while telling the stories of the fascinating trailblazers who created and shaped it. Much like the music itself, the film tells unforgettable stories of hardships and joys shared by everyday people.

"At the heart of every great country music song is a story," said Ken Burns. "As the songwriter Harlan Howard said, 'It's three chords and the truth.' The common experiences and human emotions speak to each of us about love and loss, about hard times and the chance of redemption. As an art form, country music is also forever revisiting its history, sharing and updating old classics and celebrating its roots, which are, in many ways, foundational to our country itself."

COUNTRY MUSIC is the culmination of eight years of research and production, including interviews with more than 100 people (40 of whom are members of the Country Music Hall of Fame, and 20 of those interviewed have since passed on). Among those storytellers are historian Bill Malone and a wide range of country artists such as Marty Stuart, Rosanne Cash, Vince Gill, Reba McEntire, Merle Haggard, Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson, Dwight Yoakam, Emmylou Harris, Kris Kristofferson, and Naomi and Wynonna Judd, as well as studio musicians, record producers and others. The film uses more than 3,200 photographs and over two hours of archival footage, including rare and never-before-seen photos and footage of Jimmie Rodgers, Johnny Cash and others.

A concert celebrating the film was filmed and recorded at Nashville's fabled Ryman Auditorium (once the home of the Grand Ole Opry) on March 27 and is slated to premiere on PBS ahead of the first COUNTRY MUSIC broadcast.

Sony and Martin Guitar present a chance to win the ultimate Country Music prize pack! Including a Martin D-28 and Authentic Acoustic Strings, the 5CD, 2CD, and 2LP soundtrack products, coffee table book “Country Music by Duncan Dayton and Ken Burns”, commemorative t-shirt, and a collection of classic country vinyl.

TEDDY ROBB RELEASES EMOTIONAL NEW SONG “TELL ME HOW”

Monument Records recording artist Teddy Robb releases “Tell Me How,” the third track off his forthcoming debut album.

Robb’s two previously released tracks, “Lead Me On” and “Really Shouldn’t Drink Around You,” play with fun and catchy lyrics that highlight the lighthearted and exciting parts of meeting someone new. On this newest release, “Tell Me How,” Robb tackles the harder parts of love for the first time.

The heartbreaking track focuses on the aftermath of a relationship, and follows the painful process of moving on from someone who once meant so much. Asking the questions, we all want to ask an ex, Robb sings “tell me you’re ok…tell me you’re happy now, tell me you moved on, then tell me how.” Written by Robb, Blake Chaffin, and Aaron Eshuis, and Produced by GRAMMY Award-winning songwriter Shane McAnally, Ben Fowler, Matt McGinn, the track is available now.

To further highlight the cycle of relationships that are at the center of Robb’s writing, he released a series of videos for each of his three available songs, “Lead MeOn,” “Really Shouldn’t Drink Around You,” and now, “Tell Me How.” The videos follow the same couple meeting, falling in love, then breaking up.

SPRINGER MOUNTAIN FARMS & SONY MUSIC NASHVILLE RELEASE SECOND EPISODE OF CONTENT FEATURING CAM

Springer Mountain Farms Brings Cam & Holly Gleason Together

Conversation on Candor, Emotions & A Woman’s Place in Country Music

She is one of country music’s most talked about and revealing songwriters, with a Grammy nomination for “Burning House.” The other is the editor of Woman Walk The Line: How The Women of Country Music Changed Our Lives, an anthology of personal essays from 27 women on the female country artist who changed their life. But it took Springer Mountain Farms to bring Cam and noted music critic Holly Gleason together for a revealing conversation inspired by the book – and Cam’s “Diane,” the post-cheating apology single from one woman-to-another.

Over a personally-prepared meal of roast chicken at Oak Restaurant, the two women met to discuss the power of songs, truth and “a woman’s place in country music.” Getting to eavesdrop on their tete-a-tete is no longer a possibility, but a video from their lunch has been edited into an episode of Springer Mountain Farm’s ongoing original content series in partnership with Sony Music Nashville.

“Cam is one of the most provocative female voices in our genre today,” says Gleason, whose anthology has graced The New York Times Book Review, The Washington Post, PEOPLE, PASTE, Oxford American and No Depression’s Ten Best Music Books of 2017. “Having just edited some of the nation’s best women writers, all pulling an artist’s music that changed their world through the way they live, talking to Cam was an absolute pleasure. A songwriter’s songwriter, she submerges real life, complicated emotions and difficult situations in her songs.”

The two women share thoughts on the power of music, the way it helps say what often goes unsaid – and confront the awkward in ways that set us free. With a special focus on Dolly Parton’s own ability to capture those jagged moments, Cam and Gleason explore the way the women in country get a special kind of honest. They also talk about “Diane,” Cam’s current single, in which the other woman seeks out the wife to offer clarity, apology and healing.

“In real life, this doesn’t happen very often,” Cam explains. “But the opportunity for the singer to apologize, and explain she didn’t know, is powerful – and important.”

Creating these sorts of intersections – and provide the kind of conversations that most media opportunities don’t allow for – was the driving force behind this innovative series. Not quite a profile, not really a feel good behind the scenes feature, Chikn & Pickin’ goes a little deeper.

“Springer Mountain Farms understands the organic place that food and bringing people together has in changing the conversation,” says Sony EVP of New Business & Marketing John Zarling. “In looking for new ways to show how our artists and their music are impacting the world around them, the Chick’n & Picking Series has taken us from Tyler Farr and hot chicken to Cam at the elegant Oak Steakhouse. But more than just an artist and their music, it’s a sense of why their music matters in a real life context that emerges... and that’s invaluable.”
