INTRODUCING TEXAS TROUBADOUR CARSON JEFFREY WHO HIGHLIGHTS EMPTY RELATIONSHIPS IN SELF-PENNED “MRS. LONELY”

Listen to the song here: https://stem.ffm.to/mrslonely

Cat Spring, Texas native Carson Jeffrey has eased onto the country music scene in a substantial way, building a loyal following throughout the Lone Star state. Today, he propels his career to new heights launching a self-penned single, “Mrs. Lonely” into the world.
Carson Jeffrey has spent the last five years earning his keep in the Texas honky-tonks, a tale seemingly as old as time. But along the way, while cultivating his musicianship, sharpening his songwriting skills and growing into a true entertainer, he has continued to rope and live the Cowboy lifestyle that has made him who he is.

Cowboy Lifestyle Magazine called him “the epitome of a homegrown, Texas music artist.” Everyone from the ranch hands to the oil riggers who line the bars he’s played across America will tell you that he sings about their lives. Nothing goes better together than the Cowboy lifestyle and country music, a fact often forgotten about in today’s evolving cultural landscape. It’s not about the politics or the division, it’s about the hard work, the grit, the lyrics – looking out over the plains and seeing a sunrise, sitting around a campfire after a hard day of herding cattle, pulling out a guitar and sharing stories passed down for generations.

“Mrs. Lonely” is a lament of a relationship that has lost its spark, or perhaps never had one. Carson wrote it while walking down the street in Nashville, remembering the pain of loneliness nearly everyone can relate to in one way or another. It launches a new era of music for the singer-songwriter that will appeal to fans of contemporaries like Zach Bryan, Cody Johnson, Ryan Bingham, Treaty Oak Revival and Mike and the Moonpies.

"Everyone has had at least one relationship with loneliness. For some, however, they just can’t get rid of that feeling. No matter how happy they are, or how close they get to forgetting about being lonely, the feeling always comes back around. This song explains the relationship between the soul and that feeling." said Jeffrey of his newest release.

INDEPENDENT ARTIST AARON WATSON PROVES AGAIN THAT YOU DON'T NEED A MAJOR LABEL TO BE A SUCCESS

AARON WATSON DEBUTS IN TOP 10 ON THE BILLBOARD 200 ALBUMS CHART WITH BIGGEST CAREER SALES AND #2 ON THE TOP COUNTRY ALBUMS CHART

ALBUM HITS #1 ON BILLBOARD’S INDEPENDENT ALBUMS CHART,
#1 ON iTUNES COUNTRY ALBUMS CHART AND #1 ALL-GENRE

Vaquero, the new album from independent country artist Aaron Watson debuts in the Top 10 on the Billboard 200 albums chart with his biggest career sales week to date, and #2 on the Top Country Albums chart with 39,000 equivalent album units in total consumption. Vaquero landed at #1 on Billboard’s Independent Albums chart across all genres. The singer-songwriter, with his groundswell of loyal fans, opened at #1 on iTunes Country Albums chart and has continued to stay perched in the top spot consistently for over a week. As momentum of the release increased over the week, Watson soared to #1 on the iTunes All-Genre chart. Watson made history in 2015 when his 10th studio album The Underdog hit #1 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart (26,000 albums sold), making him the first-ever independent, male country artist to debut in the coveted top spot. Watson’s rise was paved by years of hard work and perseverance, and his story is currently featured in an extensive 9-page piece in Texas Monthly’s March issue. Read the in-depth article, HERE.

On Friday, March 10th, Watson will make his national television debut on Fox & Friends morning show live from New York City.

Aaron Watson continues to dominate as a true independent in the country music arena. Marking off major milestones along the way, he’s gearing up to headline the opening night of the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo on March 7th at NRG Stadium (home of the 2017 Super Bowl). Watson will be recording a live CD/DVD to capture the evening as the first artist permitted by HLSR to do so since George Strait in 2001. Watson recently performed for a sold-out crowd (70,000+) at the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo in the AT&T Center and he will be among the star-studded lineup for the Academy Of Country Music’s Party For A Cause Festival in Las Vegas, NV on April 1st.

Vaquero has released to overwhelming support from press, including Billboard, Rolling Stone Country, Noisey, The Boot, Taste Of Country and more. All have praised Watson’s well-crafted songs; his impressive path carved outside of the Nashville establishment and his steadfast commitment to his Texas roots. See more press highlights HERE.

"Above all, he is authentic. What you see is what you get. At a time when everyone and everything seems overly marketed, when we’re being constantly manipulated and sold to, the music of Aaron Watson can be awfully appealing. There’s no gimmick, no pretension, there’s certainly no irony.” – Texas Monthly

"Watson’s knack for shaping sharp, hooky choruses makes this eleventh edition to his catalog not just a worthy complement to ‘The Underdog,’ but a textbook example of his talents in a genre overflowing with shapeless, cookie cutter ‘bro country,’ little of which is half as enjoyable or well-crafted as the majority of ‘Vaquero’."

– American Songwriter

“…the most sprawling work Watson has ever done, blending country-rock, R’n’B-tinged love ballads, backwoods stories, an epic instrumental track and traditional country twang with ease.” – Austin American Statesman

Watson shared a snapshot of the last 18 years and his slow-and-steady climb to the top with fans via Facebook in a video that has gone viral, racking up over 6 million views, HERE.

WHITNEY ROSE EMBARKS ON NORTH AMERICAN TOUR

THAT’S HOW SHE GOT TO TEXAS: COUNTRYPOLITAN SINGER AND NEW AUSTINITE EMBARKS ON NORTH AMERICAN TOUR WITH HILL COUNTRY IN HER HEART.

www.whitneyrosemusic.com

Whitney Rose announces an extensive North American Summer Tour that goes from Texas Hill Country’s legendary Luckenbach Dancehall to the east coast, including, fittingly, multiple appearances at Hill Country Live outposts (Manhattan, Brooklyn and later DC) along the way. The tour also retraces Rose’s own career path, crossing back into Canada with stops in fabled Prince Edward Island, Rose’s actual birthplace, and Toronto, her musical origin. The way home – Austin is now where Rose resides – takes her through Philadelphia, Nashville and Atlanta. Rose will wrap it up in Bertram, TX, at The Globe Theatre, a recently revitalized Hill Country musical landmark.

Rose will bring some of Austin’s most respected country and rockabilly players on the road – you can take the girl out of Texas, but the girl can take the best of Texas with her. Rose just relocated to Austin in January, and has already settled in quickly. In addition to swiftly assembling and finding a groove with a new band, Rose has established a fruitful weekly residency at The Continental Club with an ever-growing following. Trust the experts – Dwight Yoakam and Raul Malo, for example – Rose’s countrypolitan sound, sense of song and enthralling stage presence make her worthy of considerable praise she’s received thus far. "Whitney Rose writes the kind of country music that will one day firmly place her as one of the greats of the genre" says Malo.

Other recent developments have included securing a booking agent in Davis McLarty and fielding invitations to play iconic Texas dance halls and honky tonks. Above all, Rose has found respect from musical peers she had only dreamed of meeting. New songs have been bloomin’ like bluebonnets, and an exciting project featuring some of Austin’s finest country players is now underway.

“Anyone who knows me knows that I move around a lot- I just don't feel like myself when I'm stationary for too long. I decided to try my luck stateside. The only question was should I move to Nashville or Austin - I had this feeling that I could really LOVE Austin, so I took my chances, despite never even having visited before. Luckily, I was right. Fast forward a few months and I'm in the studio with Merle Haggard’s guitar player, Johnny Cash’s piano player and Willie Nelson’s bass player...I'm still processing that one. Not to mention my new band, who have helped me to build up a great Thursday residency at the Continental Club, which has become my Austin home base.”

From a small island to a big city, and from a big city to a new country, Rose has had a restless few years. Her first show was only in 2011. Her first record deal was 2012. A gig with The Mavericks put her in the studio with Raul Malo, and resulted in her first New York Times-reviewed album (and worldwide debut), Heartbreaker of the Year, in 2015.

Heartbreaker of the Year put Rose on the map, with three months on the Americana radio chart and astounding reviews and features in Rolling Stone, American Songwriter and more. Rose has toured extensively in the US, including several shows with The Mavericks and fellow country crooner Sam Outlaw.

In 2016, Rose agreed to terms on a new recording contract with indie label Six Shooter Records, giving her the ability to make quality music surrounded by a very solid support system for years to come. Six Shooter’s partnerships with Universal Music in Canada and Thirty Tigers worldwide position Rose to break major ground in the years to come.

American Songwriter said it best when it wrote, “The most exciting part is where she goes next.” Rest assured there will be a Hill Country connection.

SINGLE REVIEW: "THAT LOOK" - AARON WATSON

SINGLE: "That Look"
ARTIST: Aaron Watson
REVIEWER: Alyse Smith
Follow Alyse on Twitter at @ASmith1300

Purchase "That Look" on iTunes, Amazon and Google Play

Aaron Watson’s latest single “That Look” is the most recent offering from the prolific red-dirt native whose previous contributions include 11 albums in a dozen years, where he sings with names such as Willie Nelson, Justin McBride, John Anderson and a whole sundry of others.  That’s just from his 2012 album “Real Good Time” and doesn’t even cover all the talent that’s present on there.  At 35 Watson has spent nearly a third of his life in the music business and you can tell, as he sings with the confidence of a seasoned professional here.  He’s singing about the girl he’s with, the one that gives him “that look” the little mischievous “come on over here boy” look.  If you wonder who that girl is, it’s none other than his wife, Kimberly Watson as he wrote this for her.  “When she’s good, she’s good but even better when she gets that look.”  A serenade in a Texas velvet voice.  “That Look” is the lead single off of his upcoming album “The Underdog.”  He compares them throughout the song how she’s so “calm and collected” and he’s ready to “paint the town.”  The calm and collected part is all anyone else sees, it’s only him that she sees that little bit of wild side she saves for him.  Music and white wine helps that look come right out though.  Aaron Watson is touring mostly in the Texas and surrounding areas but has a couple dates in Vegas, Colorado, Arizona and California in the coming months.
