THE BAND STEELE SET TO RELEASE NEW SINGLE "WAITIN’ ON SUNSHINE"

“Forever Love” Tune Available Via All Digital Retail And Streaming Platforms
September 20, 2019

Fire River Records’ flagship recording artist, The Band Steele (Bo Steele/Ben Rubino), is set to release its newest studio recording, “Waitin’ On Sunshine.”* Co-written by Steele, Rubino and Stacy Stavola, the track is slated to impact country radio on Monday, October 21, 2019 (PlayMpe-9/24/19) and will be available via all digital retail and streaming platforms Friday, September 20, 2019. Grassroots Promotion will spearhead the country radio promotion campaign.

Produced by Matt McClure (Lee Brice/Lindsay Ell/Dylan Scott) and recorded at The Roost in Nashville, TN, the storyline is set on a sandy beach where a summer love is lost in time, revived by forever memories, and returns to a romantic place in time. The motion picture opener sets the mood raising the curtain to reveal the ebb and flow of the contemporary production (featuring piano, fiddle and banjo highlights) that sway and move Steele’s raw, unfiltered vocals and emotional delivery.

SHE’S ANOTHER LONG LOST LOVER
THAT STOLE MY HEART ONE WEEK LAST SUMMER
WHEN WE CLOSED OUR EYES, AND TOUCHED LIPS FOR THE FIRST TIME
BEFORE I LEFT I WENT BACK TO THE SOUND OF SALT WATER

LEFT WORDS IN THE SAND WHERE I FIRST SAW HER, SAYIN’ ONE MORE GOODBYE
NOW I’M HOME AND IT’S WINTERTIME
JUST WAITIN’ ON SUNSHINE, OOOH, OOOH, OOOH
YEAH, WAITIN’ ON SUNSHINE

“My dad inspired the idea behind the song,” introduced Ben Rubino. “One summer, he went to Panama City Beach, Florida where he fell in love with a girl. As life circumstance would have it, he had to leave her behind and they never met again.”

“True love is out there; sometimes you find it, sometimes it finds you,” Bo Steele added. “Our version of the story has a much happier ending; he returns to his ‘long lost love.’ We hope to inspire people to never give up on love when distance is the only obstacle.”

The release of the new track is an early introduction to the duo’s much-anticipated, sophomore recording project and follows the success of their current single, “Sit Awhile.” Recorded and released in August 2018 as a dedication to our military, “Sit Awhile” has enjoyed exponential engagement from millions worldwide by both country music enthusiasts and military supporters. The track peaked at #36 on the MusicRow Country Breakout Chart (March 2019) while the corresponding music video, filmed as a patriotic tribute to our men and women of military service and their families, premiered on CMT.com and has enjoyed millions of views. Bo and Ben have performed nationally at VA hospitals, veteran’s homes and military bases including Marine Corps Base Quantico, Fort Bragg, Fort Campbell, Fort Hood, Fort Rucker, Tyndall Air Force Base and USO Georgia among others.

THE BAND STEELE RELEASES NEW SINGLE "SIT AWHILE" TO COUNTRY RADIO

2.2 MILLION Combined Streams And Video Plays!

"There's been country music with a rock edge, but never with a rock voice . . . until now.”
- Greg Almond/WGGC – Bowling Green, KY

“There’s no mistaking it when you hear The Band Steele coming out of your speakers."
- Dave Williams/KQKX-106 KIX - Norfolk, NE

"Sit Awhile" is the third single release from the duo’s sophomore album, Moon In A Mason Jar. The tune originates from a backwoods walk on a hot summer afternoon near their Alabama hometown. Co-written by Steele and Rubino, and produced by Rob Burrell and Stacy Stavola, the harrowing storyline of loss reflects upon the burdensome stages of grief and the importance of time, and silent recollection, as intrinsic in the healing process.

A Band Steele Fan Favorite! Just "Sit Awhile" and listen...

I take this walk once a week
Cool my beer in a runnin’ creek
Take the boots off my feet and just sit awhile
With my back against an old oak tree
I close my eyes, pretend it speaks
And tell it all my troubles and my dreams

THE BAND STEELE SET TO RELEASE A CAPPELLA RENDITION OF "VICTORY IN JESUS"

Studio Recording Features Intimate Solo Performance By Bo Steele  • Released “By Demand,” Single And Corresponding Music Video  To Drop On Good Friday (March 30)
• Pre-sale Available Now •
Responding to overwhelming requests and popular demand, Fire River Records’ country recording act The Band Steele (Bo Steele/Ben Rubino) will release its studio recorded a cappella rendition of
E. M. Bartlett’s “Victory In Jesus”* to coincide with the upcoming Christian Holiday at the end of the month. The spiritually-moving single is available via the pre-sale promotion (going on now), with the official release, of both the track and corresponding music video scheduled for Good Friday, March 30, 2018 via digital retail and streaming outlets. The release of the track runs in tandem with the pair’s latest single, titled “195,” which is currently enjoying traction on the MusicRow and Indicator country radio charts.

The motivation to record the beloved American Christian song (sung by millions in worship services and recorded by some of gospel's biggest names) stems from Bo Steele’s impromptu a cappella performance of the tune in a hospital waiting room; Steele’s performance was captured on video, went viral on YouTube, and has since become one of The Band Steele’s most-requested songs.

“My grandmother was in the hospital and as I sat there, I felt so numb. One of the nurses asked me to ‘sing something’ and ‘Victory In Jesus’ came to my heart; it’s what came out,” Bo Steele introduced.

“We never expected this kind of reaction from a performance so raw and so personal,” Ben Rubino added. “I have to just sit back and watch Bo on this one…there is nothing I could lend to his emotion and vocal delivery that could make it more moving than when he sings it a cappella. I feel like this is how God originally intended this recording from The Band Steele.”

Following the unplanned hospital performance, Bo Steele quickly became an Internet phenom capturing new fans by the millions and the attention of the New York City-based Fire River Records. The label signed The Band Steele to a multi-album record deal nearly on the spot.

The Band Steele will release the corresponding music video (produced by Tytan Pictures, Eatonton, GA) simultaneously with the single digital release (March 30, 2018). Filmed in Eatonton, the clip features local scenery and area residents; the concept portrays a husband and father in mourning, his struggle to overcome loss, and to find an understanding and resolve. He comes to find strength in Jesus.

“We get requests for this gospel tune at songwriter’s rounds, in nightclubs and some of Nashville’s renowned hang-outs. It means something to people and that means something to us. I hope we’ve done this incredible song justice. ‘Victory In Jesus!’,” Bo said.

“Victory In Jesus” will be available via major digital retail and streaming outlets (iTunes/Apple Music/Google Play/Spotify/Pandora) for pre-order on 3/20/18 and for download on 3/30/18.
