Lineup Announced for 8th Annual Ringside: A Fight for Kids Boxing Event, Friday, March 2

NASHVILLE – The Charley Foundation, the Nashville-based non-profit organization that provides support to charitable agencies addressing the critical needs of children, hosts the 8th Annual Ringside: A Fight for Kids on Friday, Mar. 2 at Liberty Hall in The Factory at Franklin. This year’s black-tie boxing event will be emceed by Storme Warren, host of GAC’s Headline Country and Music Row Happy Hour on Sirius/XM Highway 16 Radio. Tom Baldrica, president of Nashville music label Average Joe’s Entertainment, will serve as ring announcer.
Ringside: A Fight for Kids is an action-packed evening of gourmet dining, live music performances, celebrity guests and a live auction which lead up to the main event: four professional boxing bouts sanctioned by the Tennessee Athletic Commission. Fighters will be announced.
The evening will include music by top Nashville songwriters, including: Chas Sanford (John Waite's "Missing You," Chicago's "What Kind of Man Would I Be" and Stevie Nicks' "Talk To Me"); Blair Daily (Rascal Flatts’ “Stand,” Uncle Kracker’s “Smile”); Danny Orton (Rascal Flatts’ “Stand,” Emerson Drive’s “Fall Into Me”); and Marabeth Poole (Julianne Hough’s “Dreaming Under the Same Moon”). Additional entertainment includes performances by 80s pop sensation Tiffany, and country artists Bridgette Tatum and Ira Dean, among others.
“This year’s amazing lineup of talent will play a significant role in assisting the Charley Foundation help make a positive and lasting impact on the lives of local children, their families, and their communities,” said Carolyn Miller, Charley Foundation founder and chairman. “I am forever grateful for their unfailing support.”
Previously announced NFL Alumni Tennessee Chapter, which supports youth and community charities through NFL Alumni Charities (Caring For Kids), will be a Ringside beneficiary and distribute money raised to its established network of youth charities throughout the Nashville area. All money raised through Ringside: A Fight for Kids will provide assistance to disabled and underprivileged children served by medical, recreational and care groups in the Nashville community.
NFL alumni expected guests include Eddie George, Neil O’Donnell, Brad Hopkins, Kevin Dyson, Kelly Holcomb and Al Smith.
Event sponsor ToraƱo Cigars will create a signature cigar lounge and help guests choose from a menu of award-winning cigars which they will cut and light for guests.
Catering and event logistics services are being spearheaded by The National Association of Catering Executives – Nashville Chapter.
