TV PREMIERE OF “WHEN LOVE AIN’T LOVE” FROM ACCLAIMED FULL-LENGTH INDEPENDENT PROJECT
CELEBRATES "LOVE AIN’T PRETTY"
HEADLINING SOLD-OUT SHOW AT NASHVILLE’S EXIT/IN

KEVIN JAMES (GUEST), RENATA NOTNI (GUEST),
CHARLES ESTEN (GUEST), KELLY CLARKSON

Multi-talented entertainer Charles Esten brought his acclaimed independent debut album, "Love Ain’t Pretty", to NBC’s The Kelly Clarkson Show yesterday (1/29) for the rocking television premiere performance of “When Love Ain’t Love.” Written by Esten and Jeffrey East, listen to the cautionary tale of a romantic fallout produced by Marshall Altman here.

After his headline-making appearance last spring in Los Angeles, Esten made a coast-to-coast reunion with host Kelly Clarkson for a sit-down chat about the long-awaited full-length project alongside fellow guests Kevin James and Renata Notni in New York City. He also connected onscreen with Clarkson’s “Rad Human,” 15-year-old cancer survivor and inspiring singer Elana Koenig. With personal connections to childhood cancer after his daughter Addie survived leukemia when she was 2 ½ years old, Esten was moved to invite Koenig to perform at his 11th Annual Light the Late Night benefit concert in the fall. Serving as the National Honorary Spokesperson for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Esten’s “Team Addie” has surpassed over $2.2 MILLION in cumulative funds raised over the last 10 years. Watch the sweet surprise on NBC’s The Kelly Clarkson Show here.

Featured by Parade, Cowboys & Indians, CMT, and more, Esten’s "Love Ain’t Pretty" is being lauded by critics everywhere:

“the album is the purest representation of his artistry possible.” – GRAMMY.com

“being his true self has brought some of Esten’s biggest success, and that same spirit now
powers a remarkable debut album.” – Nashville Lifestyles

“loose, rough-cut country” – Billboard

"An emotionally connective album” – The Tennessean

“charismatic creator” – MusicRow

“Esten dares to get deep” – American Songwriter

“Written with the wisdom and breadth that comes with time, Esten captures the dimensions of love, loss, growth, and hope.” – Forbes

Esten celebrated "Love Ain’t Pretty" with a SOLD-OUT first-time headlining concert at Nashville’s Exit/In for his album release show (1/26). Playing songs from the 14-track compilation (co-writing all with acoustic guitar credits), he further surprised the jam-packed house with a pop-up from former Nashville co-star Sam Palladio. With a follow-up appearance Saturday (1/27) during his 169th performance at Nashville’s Grand Ole Opry, he then took the Whiskey Jam stage for the 13th Anniversary show last night (1/29) at Nashville’s Dierks Bentley's Whiskey Row.

JESSICA WILLIS FISHER MAKES FIRST DAYTIME TV APPEARANCE IN SUPPORT OF POWERFUL, PERSONAL MEMOIR ON "TAMRON HALL"

"Unspeakable: Surviving My Childhood and Finding My Voice"
 Is Available Everywhere Now

Upon the release of her hauntingly beautiful and brave personal memoir, Unspeakable: Surviving My Childhood and Finding My Voice, Americana singer/songwriter Jessica Willis Fisher made her first daytime TV appearance in support of the book on Tamron Hall with an interview and performance on November 1st. The powerful interview can be seen HERE, and her performance of her autobiographical song “My History” from her critically-acclaimed debut album, Brand New Day, can be seen HERE. Unspeakable is now available everywhere.

Following major editorial coverage in publications such as her in-depth Sunday portfolio cover story with The Tennessean, features with Forbes and Everything Nash, and early excerpts released through People and Taste Of Country, Jessica rounded out release week with an appearance on WSM’s Coffee, Country and Cody this morning, and will perform on the Grand Ole Opry tomorrow, Saturday, November 5.

Also out today is Jessica’s brand-new Christmas track, a gorgeous cover of Celine Dion’s “Don’t Save It All For Christmas Day,” available everywhere now. Jessica will release her rendition of “Tennessee Christmas” on November 25.

Using the written word as her witness statement, Jessica Willis Fisher gives a lacerating portrait of a girl finding her voice after years of being silenced in Unspeakable -- an elegant, harrowing story of the manipulation and codependency that defines abusive family relationships.

BookTrib praises, “I was not expecting the depth at which Fisher would share her world, nor how gracefully she would navigate it for us...Unspeakable is a book that should be read, by girls and women who may think that they will forever be defined by the things that happen to them.”

Growing up the eldest daughter in a large, highly controlled, fundamentalist Christian household, Jessica was groomed to write songs and perform with her family’s touring group, The Willis Clan. Jessica was expected to conform to her father's disturbing and chaotic teachings, but she survived his mental, physical, and sexual abuse.

Her family shot to fame after an appearance on NBC’s “America’s Got Talent” and soon after had their own reality show on TLC - “The Willis Family”- for two seasons. The world loved this beautiful family of 12 kids; young and vivacious, the Willis's presented themselves to be extraordinary and happy. But the older and wiser Jessica got, the more she had to face that what was going on behind closed doors would forever be escalating.

Publisher’s Weekly declares, “In this wrenching debut memoir, singer-songwriter Fisher recounts the “mental, emotional, spiritual” as well as brutal physical and sexual abuse she suffered at the hands of her father, Toby Willis […] It’s a painful story, but it’s bravely told, for herself and “other little invisible girls and boys.”

Beautifully written and monumental in its bravery, Unspeakable captures the beauty and ugliness of a young woman finding her way—filled with longing, fear, confusion, secrecy, but most importantly, hope for the future.

Unspeakable follows the release of Jessica’s critically-acclaimed debut solo album, Brand New Day, earlier this year. The dynamic project finds her discovering that there is indeed a way forward through music. An emotional centerpiece of the album, “My History” was the first song Jessica wrote after taking a multi-year hiatus from creating, following her escape from the unhealthy environment of her upbringing. Brand New Day musically represents her new start at life and helped her reclaim her voice through music.

#TUNEIN ALERT! JON PARDI TO PERFORM “HEARTACHE MEDICATION” ON NBC’S “LATE NIGHT WITH SETH MEYERS” ON TUESDAY 11/26

CMA/ACM Award-winning artist Jon Pardi will perform his Top 10 radio hit “Heartache Medication” on NBC’s “Late Night With Seth Meyers” tomorrow (11/26). “Heartache Medication” is the title track off Pardi’s highly-acclaimed album Heartache Medication, which debuted among the top albums on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart and released to overwhelming critical-acclaim by NPR, Associated Press, New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Billboard, ET, EXTRA, Variety, People and Rolling Stone. Fans can tune-in and watch the special live performance on NBC’s “Late Night With Seth Meyers” on Tuesday, Nov. 26th at 12:35p.m. EST /11:35p.m. CST.

Lauded as an artist with an impressive ability to carve out his own path and one that is “a long-lasting mark on the genre” (Music Row), critics praised Heartache Medication, as an album that affirms “...the kind of country music multiple generations came to know and love can still work on a mass scale” (Variety). Filled with fiddle, twang and steel guitar, Pardi continues to “...apply new ideas to country’s old sounds...” (Los Angeles Times) and “...bring authenticity back into Country music…” (People). The New York Times added that like Pardi’s previous album California Sunrise, which “...split the difference between Alan Jackson and Bob Seger...Heartache Medication-continues that direction with honky-tonkin’, boot-stompin’ tracks about whiskey, women and song.”

Heartache Medication was named one of Billboard’s Most Anticipated Albums of Fall and is the follow up to the California native’s breakthrough, Platinum-selling album, California Sunrise which debuted No. 1 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart. A third time co-producer, Pardi’s multi-platinum, chart-topping hits “Dirt On My Boots,” “Head Over Boots,” “Heartache On The Dance Floor” and “Night Shift” have been noted for “attracting youthful crowds” (NPR), while Heartache Medication is “an emboldened work, a distilling of his sound into a more potent form — one that draws both vitality and assurance from his anything-but-sterile relationship to his tradition’s modern era” (NPR). DOLLY PARTON OPENS UP ABOUT THE HISTORY BEHIND HER HIT SINGLE "I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU" ON "BRIAN JOHNSON'S A LIFE ON THE ROAD" NOVEMBER 10 ON AXS TV

Brian Johnson heads to the country music capital of the world, Nashville, TN, to talk with genre trailblazer Dolly Parton on an all-new episode of AXS TV’s globetrotting music series Brian Johnson’s A Life On The Road—airing Sunday, November 10 at 9:00 pm ET.

In this exclusive first-look, Parton sheds some light on the history behind her enduring hit single “I Will Always Love You”— which Parton wrote following a heated fight with her longtime professional partner and mentor, the late Country icon Porter Wagoner. “I went home with a heavy heart, and I wrote ‘I Will Always Love You’,” Parton explains. “I went back to Porter and said, ‘You won’t listen to what I’m saying, please sit down and listen to this song.’ He started to listen to it and I started playing it with my guitar, and he started to cry. He said, ‘Ok, you can go, if I can produce that song.’” The single ultimately made its way to the top of the Country charts, and attracted the attention of the The King himself, Elvis Presley, who wanted to record it.

Unfortunately, the cost would be too great for Parton, who would have been forced to concede half of the publishing rights to Presley’s team. “I grieved over that,” she continues. “I just cried my heart out, ‘cause I was just picturing Elvis singing that. Can you imagine?” The decision would prove to be the correct one, however, after the single was turned into an international sensation by one of music’s most powerful voices. Parton concludes, “After Whitney Houston recorded it, I was so glad I kept the full publishing! I wrote ‘Jolene’ and ‘I Will Always Love You’ the same night, and I thought, ‘Buddy, that was a good night!’”

On this weekend's edition of Trisha's Southern Kitchen (Food Network), show host Trisha Yearwood invites her longtime friends and fellow artists, Ricky Skaggs, and his wife, Sharon White, over for a meal filled with laughter and song.

"Trisha is one of the sweetest people I've ever known," says Skaggs. "Getting to spend the afternoon just kicking back, laughing, and singing with her and my wife Sharon, and oh my goodness, eating her fabulous cooking was one of the best days I can ever remember! It was like going home to see family and as we do in the south, she sent home leftovers!"

During the show they'll cook beloved southern comfort foods and reflect on their shared decades-long careers in country music. The menu includes a spin on the classic PB and J, Cherry and Boiled Peanut Bruschetta. They also make Roasted Sweet Vidalia Pork Loin, Collard Cobbler and a final nod to the south, Mini Georgia Peach Cheesecake, for dessert.

"I had a such a wonderful time doing Trisha's Southern Kitchen," adds White. "Trisha is just the best hostess, and the meal she made for Ricky and me was amazing! Then, to cap it off, we sat on the porch and sang together! The entire afternoon was so much fun!"

Catch Skaggs and White on Food Network this Saturday, November 9 at 11 a.m. CT / 12 p.m. ET. The show re-airs Tuesday, November 12 at 11 a.m. CT / 12 p.m. ET.
