MUSICALLY DIVERSE HIT SHOW "THE SONG TV" SEASON 3 TO PREMIERE JANUARY 8, 2022

Rob Thomas, Collective Soul, Melissa Etheridge, Amy Grant, Kenny Loggins, Sarah McLachlan, Brian McKnight, Styx, Gary Allan and More Featured in National TV Show

THE SONG – Recorded Live @ TGL Farms nationally syndicated television show launched in January 2020, and the star power, production and unique programming of the first two seasons made it must-see tv for music fans coast to coast. Production on Season III is complete, and the fast-paced show featuring intimate performances from some of music’s greatest stars and the iconic songs that launched and propelled their careers will premiere nationwide on January 8, 2022.

THE SONG’s new season features Rockers Collective Soul, Melissa Etheridge, Styx, and Rob Thomas, Pop songstresses Amy Grant and Sarah McLachlan, Soul singer Brian McKnight, Pop singer songwriter icon Kenny Loggins and Country star Gary Allan - all performing the songs that made them famous in this exciting weekly show reaching over 80 million households on 150 stations.

“We’ve been amazed week after week how viewers are connecting with these artists and their songs in this unique presentation,” said the show’s creator and Executive Producer Marc Oswald. “This new season is incredibly diverse and we can’t wait to kick off the new year with these legendary artists performing truly remarkable songs.”

The show is produced by Tupelo Honey and Oswald Entertainment Group, directed by renowned film and still photographer David “Doc” Abbott, written, edited and produced by Stephen Wallen and Scott Kono and booked by legendary talent producer Tisha Fein and talent coordinator Clay Myers. Gray Television is managing the syndication, led by Greg Conklin and George Johnson, predominantly on CBS, ABC, FOX and NBC affiliates including New York, Los Angeles, Boston, Chicago, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Detroit, Minneapolis, Dallas, San Francisco, Washington DC, and Seattle.

Season III is hosted by Krista Marie and includes a combination of episodes produced at various locations in Music City and on the road. THE SONG crew traveled to a private estate in Sherman, CT to film two episodes with Rob Thomas. Kenny Loggins and Sarah McLachlan were both lensed in California, Loggins at The Alcazar Theatre in Carpinteria and McLachlan at Hotel del Coronado. Collective Soul’s episode was shot at Atlanta’s Buckhead Theatre, and Brian McKnight’s episode was captured across town at Terminal West. Gary Allan and Amy Grant’s episodes were shot at Nashville’s Analog at Hutton Hotel and Blackbird Studio, respectively, and Melissa Etheridge performed at the show’s home base, TGL Farms near Nashville Tennessee. To top it all off, the Styx episode was shot following the band’s performance at the beautiful new Hard Rock Casino in Cincinnati, Ohio.

“This is a massive undertaking, but we’re excited to continue to grow and develop this show,” said the show’s Executive Producer Cary Glotzer, CEO and Chief Content Officer of Tupelo Honey, a Gray Television Company.

Season I was filmed exclusively at TGL Farms and kicked off with such iconic stars as All-4-One, Big & Rich, CeeLo Green, Don McLean, Rick Springfield, Rome Ramirez featuring Dirty Heads, Travis Tritt, and Gretchen Wilson. Season II of THE SONG traveled coast to coast to visit Jason Mraz at the Mraz Family Farm, Pat Monahan and Train at Concannon Vineyard in Northern California, Jewel in the Colorado Rockies high above Telluride, Richard Marx on the beautiful cliffs of Malibu, Clint Black at Analog at Hutton Hotel Nashville and the Marleys at the world famous Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Fla. Shooting wrapped where it all began, with Gavin DeGraw at TGL Farms outside Nashville, Tennessee.

The show is presented by Ally and brought to you by partnerships with Harley-Davidson, Hard Rock Hotels and Casinos, and powered by KICKER Performance Audio.

Earlier this year, THE SONG announced an exclusive partnership with Time Life to release live performances recorded exclusively for the show. Many of the songs recorded for Season I of the show are currently available via Time Life on all major streaming platforms. The two companies are also working closely to develop enhanced content for THE SONG’s YouTube channel, including previously unreleased footage.

There are few music artists who are genuinely considered legends. With nearly 40 No.1 hits, Haggard is certainly one of them. Haggard passed away today, on his birthday, at the age of 79.

For more than 50 years Haggard has been singing a style of country western music that he helped pioneer. Haggard rarely grants interviews but before a performance at the Smoky Mountain Center for the Performing Arts in North Carolina, Haggard sat down for an extended conversation with Dan Rather, speaking candidly about everything from his time in prison to his politics, touring with Bob Dylan, and his biggest fear in life. The episode originally aired on September 30, 2013. (“The Big Interview” episode will have additional airings on Sat., April 9 at 9 a.m. ET and Sunday, April 10 at 8 a.m. ET.)

In this clip from the show, Haggard talks about aging, death, loneliness and what kept him alive. http://bit.ly/MerleHaggardInterview

After chatting with co-host Hoda Kotb and correspondent Jenna Bush Hager about his burgeoning music career and ABC’s Nashville, he performed his debut EP’s title track “Pieces of You” accompanied by NBC’s renowned Saturday Night Live drummer Shawn Pelton and producer/musician Phoenix Mendoza. The day continued with a flurry of stops, including performances at Paste Studios and FOX 411. Later that night, Carmack sat down with Andy Cohen on BRAVO’s Watch What Happens Live. Following the media blitz, his EP PIECES OF YOU returned to the #1 spot on the iTunes Singer/Songwriter Top Albums chart (1/25).

LEGENDARY HIT MAKERS AND HONKY-TONKERS GENE WATSON AND MOE BANDY MAKE IT TO PRIMETIME

THE GENE & MOE SHOW? OR IS IT THE MOE & GENE SHOW? EITHER WAY THEY BOTH ARE SET TO APPEAR SEPTEMBER 18 ON RFD-TV

Moe Bandy & Gene Watson

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (August 19, 2015) – It's traditional country music at its finest paired with family-friendly comedy from two of the genre’s most dynamic personalities. Country music legends Gene Watson and Moe Bandy are set to perform hit after hit and teach one another a thing or two, in a one-hour primetime TV special on RFD-TV September 18.

The Gene & Moe Show, in which Watson and Bandy battle it out for the show’s naming rights prior to each episode, periodically switches its name to The Moe & Gene Show illustrating an ‘all-in-good-fun’ facetious on-screen competition between the two long-time friends, Produced by Gabriel Communications (known for top-rated variety shows Larry’s Country Diner, and Country’s Family Reunion) the new series was previously recorded at Joey+Rory's Farmhouse Concert Hall in Columbia, Tennessee.

Featuring performances of their fan-favorite classic country songs in front of a live studio audience, Watson and Bandy also interview various celebrities like drag racing driver “Big Daddy” Don Garlits and rodeo champion Larry Mayhan. Along the way, they humorously teach one another tricks of the trade when it comes to their non-musical hobbies; for Watson, that’s cars and trucks, and for Bandy -- cows and bulls. Viewers will get a kick out of watching Bandy pick on Watson as he learns how to feed a calf, and vice versa, as Bandy tries to do some maintenance work on one of Watson’s prized classic cars.

Watson and Bandy have been friends since back in the 70’s. Bandy was coming onto the scene with “I Just Started Hatin’ Cheatin’ Songs” and Watson was singing about “Love in the Hot Afternoon.” These two classics marked the beginning of more than two decades of chart topping country radio hits respectively. Tune in for additional airings of The Gene & Moe Show on RFD-TV, listed here: http://www.rfdtv.com/category/267411/schedule.

REVIEW: "DISCOVERING LUCY ANGEL" - PREMIERING ON AXS TV JANUARY 13

If you've never heard of the all female trio, Lucy Angel, you're gonna want to tune in to "Discovering Lucy Angel", a new docu-series beginning on AXS TV Tuesday, January 13, 2015 and see what all the Nashville buzz is about. If you have heard of them, congratulations, you're ahead of the game and know good music.  Lucy Angel isn't a new group by a long shot, quite the contrary actually. We first heard about the group a couple of years back from mega hit songwriter, Anthony Smith, who, as fate would have it, is in a relationship with Lindsay Anderton and father to their child, McCartney. With recommendation coming from someone like Anthony, you don't question, you pay attention.

The group is made up of sisters Lindsay, Emily and their mother, Kate Anderton. They've been pounding the streets of Nashville since 2003, playing every venue they could possibly get in to just to get their music heard. Lucy Angel hasn't limited their exposure to Music City, they've also toured internationally to country music fans in Japan, Switzerland, and China and they are honored to be the very first Western Hemisphere act to perform at the Great Hall of the People in Tiananmen Square, Beijing in front of many Chinese government officials and more than 280 international dignitaries and ambassadors. Lucy Angel released 2 singles, "Only Woman Left" and "Serious" in 2011 in addition to an EP with "Serious" reaching #31 on MusicRow’s CountryBreakout chart and #42 on the Billboard Indicator chart.

These girls are out to make a name for themselves and an audience for their music and it's paying off. Now you can tune in and see what it takes to make it in the industry, the high's, the low's, the happiness and disappointment, the patience and the "not so patient" times. This show takes you inside the daily lives of the Anderton family at home, including Lucy Angel, father and band manager G-Man, brother Fletch, the dogs and you'll get to meet Anthony Smith and McCartney as well.

We had the pleasure of being asked to review the premiere episode before it airs next week and we LOVED it. Having been a longtime fan of Lucy Angel as well as Anthony Smith, this is a great way to see, as a family, what makes them tick, what holds them together and the struggles they go through to follow their dream and eventually land among the stars of country music. This isn't just another reality show, this is their reality and the reality of trying to make it in the business. We think you're gonna like it.

"Discovering Lucy Angel" premieres on AXS TV on Tuesday, January 13 at 9pm ET. The show will continue to have a regular time slot of 9pm ET on Tuesday nights.

SAMMY SADLER AND "MURDER ON MUSIC ROW" FEATURED ON INVESTIGATION DISCOVERY CHANNEL TOMORROW, AUGUST 29

The Investigation Discovery Channel has announced the airing of a new season of the series "Fatal Encounters" with the premiere episode focusing on the "Murder On Music Row," the March 1989 incident surrounding the high-profile shootings of then Cashbox Magazine chart editor Kevin Hughes and Country entertainer Sammy Sadler. What appeared to be a random shooting left Hughes dead, Sadler bleeding in his car and the residents and businesses on Music Row in shock.

FATAL ENCOUNTERS recounts the ill-fated business relationship between killer and victim as their paths intertwined. Chance meetings, everyday decisions, and random acts of violence send ordinary people down a deadly collision course toward their own mortality. The show features actors dramatizing real events.

Each episode begins with the introduction of the victim and the killer as they go about their normal business, unaware of what's about to transpire. While an on-screen clock counts down the victim's final hours, days, or even years, viewers track the decisions and actions that bring the victim closer to their killer's fatal trap, not knowing until the last moment which person will fall prey and who will have blood on their hands.

Sadler will appear in the "Murder On Music Row" episode along with Metro Nashville police officials who worked on the original case. The shooting was re-enacted for the show during filming this past summer on Music Row in Nashville.

The "Murder On Music Row" episode airs this Thursday August 29, 2013 at 9:00pm eastern on the Discovery Channel.
