TYLER REEVE TAKES OVER SIRIUSXM THE HIGHWAY’S ‘ON THE HORIZON’ THIS WEEKEND

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – (May 29, 2015) – Rising singer-songwriter Tyler Reeve is taking over SiriusXM The Highway’s “On The Horizon” show this weekend in celebration of his new single, "Come On Sunshine," being played on the satellite radio channel.

Throughout his takeover, the Mobile, Alabama native will fill fans in on co-writing the Love and Theft single “Whiskey on My Breath,” share moments that helped shape his path to Nashville from hanging with Jake Owen back in the day at Florida State University in Tallahassee to meeting Cole Swindell years ago at a bar in Atlanta and teaming up to write songs in his basement while Swindell was still Luke Bryan's merch guy.

The hourlong “On the Horizon” will be played at noon on Saturday, then repeated seven times over the weekend. And that’s not the only chance to catch the exciting new voice in the near future. Reeve also will appear on “Hitting the Right Note,” a television special airing June 6 on WKRN. The special will be replayed at other Media General-owned stations across the nation this summer.

Reeve will also join Tracy Lawrence for a free outdoor fan appreciation show on June 9 at one of Nashville's favorite watering holes, Losers Bar and Grill parking lot.

CD REVIEW: "ONE MORE SHOT" - TYLER REEVE

One More Shot, Tyler Reeve

CD: "One More Shot"
Artist: Tyler Reeve
Release: Sept. 23, 20111
Label: Tyler Reeve Inc.

I first heard Tyler Reeve at the Country Throwdown in Raleigh, NC the summer of 2010 and loved him. He puts on a great stage show and definitely kept the crowd moving. His music is all country, you won't find any genre mixing here.  Tyler is Tyler and that's who the fans keep coming to see and it seems every show he plays draws more fans. I was excited to see that he would be releasing "One More Shot" in September 2011 and knew it was one I wanted to get my hands on.

The cd kicks off with the upbeat twang and kick of "One More Shot", a song that will have many pair of boots two stepping around a sawdust floor in their local honky tonk. The second track, "Can't Stop Drinkin" ... not sure if I like that one or not yet. I can't pinpoint it, but something just misses the point with this one. I don't know if it's the lyrics or the melody, but it's something. Ok, let's move on. Oooh, talking about moving on, the next song happens to be my favorite on the cd, "Movin' On". Tyler sings his rugged country heart out on this one, pouring a blend of emotion into every note, every word. I love this one. The next couple of songs, "Drinkin' Song" and "Back on the Road" are good but not really songs I could classify as the better songs on the cd. They're the type of songs you'd hear at any show on Nashville's Broadway any night of the week from a number of country bands trying to cut their teeth. "Used to Losing" is another good one.  For the most part, give or take a couple of songs, the cd is definitely a keeper and so is Tyler. If you have a chance to catch him live, do it. If you want to add some "I am who I am" country to your new artist collection, here's your choice.

You can find Tyler online at www.tylerreeve.com, Facebook and Twitter.
Purchase "One More Shot" on Tyler's official site, iTunes and Amazon.
